I traded in Twilight Princess for $37.50. Pretty sweet deal, since I've had it for like 7 months and paid $40 originally.
Anyway, it was hilarious trying to use the coupon. He started off saying to the other employee, "Look, a coupon. I don't think I've ever seen one a GameStop coupon before." He read the coupon back and forth and was for some reason still puzzled. The other guy looked at it and was equally astounded.
The second guy said, "You have to be trading in a game to use this coupon.", even though the game was sitting right there in front of him. It didn't help that he couldn't scan the thing, but after minutes of waiting he finally just typed the coupon code in, and, surprise surprise, "Oh, it is an EB coupon."
Seriously, I had never seen anyone so astounded by a coupon. I guess it's understandable considering he seemed to even have problems reading. He was typing in my info off of my driver's license and had 3 or 4 mistakes on it. I mean, they asked me where I got the coup and everything, but I really wanted to say, "How about you just key in the code! If it works, then it's clearly on of your coupons!"
So I was able to use my cousin's edge trade-in bonus, but get the credit on a different card for myself. I had planned on trading in Super Paper Mario, and brought the case to the store, but didn't until I was on the road realize I didn't have it. It's alright though, because I figured the way that was going there's no way they'd let me use another coupon.
