Acting Manager at the Gamestop by my work said it should work but no guarantees. He said that even if it didn't he would discount it for me. Guess I'll be adding Modnation for $10 tomorrow! He gave me a new copy of UMvC3 for the used price tonight b/c the used copy they had didn't have the box after I had been misinformed from another location.

Think this is going to be my new Gamestop location! :) :)
 
This is live on Gamestop.com right now. When you add it to the cart it automatically takes off the $10, however the coupon code applies in the discount explination section but DOES NOT stack. YMMV in stores however. Tried online with Unit 13.
 
Well I'm going to try getting this to work in store tomorrow, but something I noticed.

"Coupon EBC3031391 - PowerUp Rewards Special Offer! $10 off any one select Playstation Vita game. PowerUpRewards Card must be entered at checkout. May not be combined with other offers. Expires 5/5/12."

Expires 5/5 instead of 4/5.
 
Anybody have success with this. I'm.on the east coast but workin til 3 so I cant try til then, but if its a definite no I will probably pass on attempting

yup used coupon and they said it took $10 off but the system wouldn't show the $20 before coupon price one or the other

Just got Unit 13 for $19.99 but the coupon didn't stack. The employee had to override it to work so its YMMV.

Wondering the same thing. Would definitely bite on Modnation for $10 for sure, but at $20 id be better off putting the cash towards a better game. Already have Lumines, Escape Plan, Motorstorm RC, Uncharted:GA, Unit 13, Reality Fighters and Fifa so I may grab Blazblue, or UMvC or hold off until MK or SFxT comes out.

Also anyone that wants to coop Unit 13 message me at StudentofTruth

I was looking forward to Hot Shots at $20. The manager seemed surprised that I didn't want it at the $30 sale price. He should know by now that I'm a cheap ass.

Was able to get Modnation Racers Vita for 9.99. The coupon would not stack with the sales price however so it required a manager override. The staff was very helpful and decided to manual give me the $10 off, but he said you also need to be a Pro member as well, so heads up. Very YMMV, but I'm happy with a Vita game for $10.

went to 2 different gamestops to try and get hot shots for $20. they did not want to do it said the coupon dosen't stack with the sale price even though i said no where on the coupon does it say anything about a sale price it just says 10$ off a vita game bleh bleh bleh so its their loss not mine. ill wait for a price drop at amazon.
 
I went 2 for 2 using the coupon. Picked up unit 13 @ one GameStop and mod nation at another. I had a printout of the email and coupon to use at each one. On that email in the terms and conditions it makes no mention of not working with other offers nor does it say the offer is subject to change. It does say the prices are subject to change. As far as I am concerned GameStop could legally have a hard time not honoring the coupon or at least be in violation of some FTC regulations. You have to be very careful with the terms and conditions in your coupons and they were not this time. Good luck to everyone else and stick to your guns.
 
Got turned down at my store (Though the manager i know wasnt there). Dont feel like wasting the gas to drive to the other store for a game i dont even really want XD, so i'll just try again tommorow morning when i get out of class
 
Blah this coupon is useless since it doesn't stack ! Someone in the gs spring sale thread said that it expires in may instead of this month. I hope hot shots gets a price drop soon

I tried to use the $10 off of modnation racers and they said it would stack cause the on sale price is an offer, so I tried to use a power up rewards $10 off any one item and it wouldn't work, they would not override it and and i told them to keep the game! Then I called corporate and they said a sale is an offer and since the power up rewards $10 off says not valid on other offers and that a sale is a offer then i can't get modnation for $9.99 which i think is stupid.

This is my exact experience as well. I even used my 10,000 points on my phone to get the $10 coupon while I was in the store (which mentions nothing about not being combinable before you buy it) and that was shot down too. The really great thing is that the cashier screwed up apparently and used my PUR coupon even though I didn't buy anything. So now the coupon is no longer valid and I'm out 10,000 points.

I had a lengthy conversation with customer service but they can't do anything until tomorrow after all of the stores transactions get posted for the day.

These people really are scum of the earth by the way.
 
Reporting back from my venture, about the same thing happened at 2 different gamestops.

I presented the coupon confusing the clerk, and then denied, so i asked for a manager and she had checked, telling me it wasn't possible, and I said "well your the manager right, you can override it" and she said no that its not possible at all. I told them it was and she said they had fired 4 other employees for this and she told me "if you want to cost someone their job..." I laughed and said the sale just started today so they couldnt have been fired over this particular instance, and she still wouldnt budge. I would have said something back, but ehh, there are people i do like who work there, and i don't wanna burn bridges at ALL my gamestops haha.

I find that Females stand their ground and "follow the rules" much closer than males. 90% of the females that work at my gamestops are downright b******, while the men are very cool and have cut me deals before.

Oh well, guess Ill just hit up the buy 2 get one ina few days, hopefully the friggin power up coupons will stack with that.

yay I got the manager to override! I picked up Unit 13 and Modnation. :applause: I also renewed my membership there, so that might've been what urged him to override.

Actually, it doesn't say it clearly on the coupon, which is my major beef. The coupon fine print says nothing of it not combining with other offers.

Yea while I agree with you about not having to be a jerk about it, as other's have said.. all it says in the coupon is...

So by all means according to their legal terms, it should stack, it's worded 100% different than their normal coupon, that's all I said to the gamestopI went to and they had no problems giving me the promo... obviously YMMV, but I feel in most cases, just be calm and mature and nice about it and typically they wil give it to you, if not, oh well!
 
That's the exact language in the email and frankly I don't understand how they legally can't honor the coupon. I would threaten action with the BBB. You cannot issue a coupon and not support it to the letter of the terms and conditions.
 
It was a huge pain in the ass (e.g. - the $10 off coupon doesn't stack), but I ultimately got ModNation Racers Vita for $10.
 
No problems at my stores, bought Mod and Unit weeks ago. Just did an exchange transaction and got $20 back today.

4th Store- Reality Fighters-19.99
5th Store-Hot Shots Golf-19.99


Tried F1 and RR no go. Grabbed RR at BB for 4.99 on a weird deal, received a $25 off coupon single item purchase from BB RZ MC for screw up in the fall on interest rates. It said nothing about excluding video games, so grabbed Ridge Racer for $5.
