News on the Eva Box Set Delay.

"As many of you probably noticed, we have not yet been able to fill many of the orders for this box set from the recent 12 days of savings.

Just an update that because we sold so many, ADV actually ran out of the physical cartons that are used to assemble the set and had to produce more. We are expecting delivery of these sets sometime late the week of 1/24.

Sorry for the delay".

Well i recieved my samurai x the motion picture today(shipped free because i ordered +$100), but the rest is still on backorder. Im beggining to have my doubts on the arrival of products.
 
Two more of my items are now on reserve. Still waiting for the NGE Box and the Chrono Crusade box. Hopefully they'll get them later today and it'll ship Friday.

Stupid Ice storms slowing down my order.

I noticed that, too. Kind of bummed, but also kind of relieved since now I don't have the temptation. I was always on the fence about buying those sets.

I broke down and bought season 1 for the heck of it. Although still feel kind of strange for buying such a shoujo anime. I might pick up the rest of the series off of Ebay if it's good enough(saw the butchered version on TV a while back watched it mostly because it was anime and interesting). As for Eva i saw they had it back in stock again for about a day. So maybe some people have had there copies have shipped, I also ordered Gasaraki at the same time as Eva hopefully they put an Eva aside for me at least.
 
I sent them an email and they responded saying there getting a shipment of gasarki box sets at the beginning of this comming week and that my dvd will be shipped during the same week, RIGHT ON.

Lucky for me I got my eva set when I was still on winter break, so I got to watch it all, much fun.
 
Hey I was just wondering did anyone order the dnangel vol 1 /w box and get it yet? I still havent heard from them :(


Figures the day after i first posted this they email me and say it shipped lol
 
My Chrono Crusade shipped today. I also got everything else except the NGE set. Still on order.

I did have to return the Peacemaker box because it was damaged :(. They're going to send me a replacement.
 
NGE and Gasaraki are still backordered for me. I knew I shouldn't have waited until the 24th to place my order. :wink:

They say they have a copy of Gasaraki Reserved for my order, but I think they are going to wait till they get my Eva boxset to ship.
 
I hold in my possesion my Gasarki box set, as of now all the orders with right stuff have been fulfilled, thank you once again admiral.
 
I guess they won't be shipping Gasaraki until they get in more Eva boxsets. It must be less hassle for them to ship all items in an order at once.
 
Nuts. They declined my debit card because the one day I didn't have enough money is the day they tried to charge me. My assumption is that they would have shipped when they tried to charge me. Now I have to wait more, I guess. Ah well, so it goes.
 
They said my order is shipping, minus the NGE. Hopefully it gets here by next friday. They are located in IOWA or something right?
 
Well at least it is good to know that they are trying to get us our orders and not ust cancelling us. Hopefully it will come sooner though.
 
My Gasaraki set should be at my house, but now I have to have my parents ship it to my dorm, which means a whole lot of waiting, since DC has pretty much shut down for the freaking inaguration.

thats what i was thinking....though im pissed that i didn't pull the trigger on this one...
 
A kinda dumb question, but what day do they update their weekly special? I've seen some pretty good stuff come and go through those, but could never figure out the day.
 
Any of you guys watch or been watching Gasaraki? I'm up to disc 3 and really liking it so far, except for one thing. Is it just me, or does the quality of the character animation noticeably suck every other episode? It's the weirdest thing - as if there were two different teams of animators working on this during production. It doesn't detract from the story at all, but it's just really annoying...

I never really noticed it. It's definately not like the Hakken den. The animation literally changes in the middle of some scenes. Also, enjoy it now, because I thought the Gasaraki has a much stronger first half than last, and a poor ending.

Also I heard the latest news about he NGE boxes...

"These are finally on the way to us. We sold all inventory out and they had to make more of the cartons that hold the discs. Sorry for the delay, expect these to ship probably next week. "

:( That sucks. Well, now that my expectations are low for the second half maybe I'll wind up liking it. :)

I agree totally admiral, I enjoyed the first half of gasaraki much more than the last half and I thought the ending was pretty awful as well.
