You did yourself a disservice. While it's true that the first 12 or so episodes of Brotherhood feel very rushed, it slows down to catch its breath right afterwards, and the remaining episodes are excellent.

That said, I like both shows for different reasons. The first one sets a more effective tone and does a better job of giving depth to its characters (probably because of the pacing issues early on in Brotherhood), but the second goes in a much more interesting direction. I didn't mind the second half of the first series, per se, but Brotherhood was more compelling over all. Anyways, regardless of the problems with each, they're both worth owning.
I wasn't expecting that. ;) Alright I just put brotherhood on hold at the library and I will force myself to sit through the first box. I'm going to watch the dubbed version out of spite though. haha.

Actually I now prefer dubbed versions of Anime, but that is a discussion for another day...
I thought the same thing when FMA came out. That perception changes after Brotherhood. Watch it, then say FMA even gets close to competing with Brotherhood.
Didn't mind the recap portion, but from there it seemed somewhat convoluted. While I like the new characters and will continue watching Brotherhood, I thought FMA wrapped up more than nicely enough for me.

Bandai is right up there with Viz for me. Damn them for not releasing complete collections of code geass, or giving it some blu ray love.

The first season of Code Geass will be released in a complete collection on February 8th.

Ah! My Buddha no longer on sale or OOS?

so many negative feed backs for this anime. but does anyone happen to know if at release, did it ever had a harden boxset cover to hold all 6 dvds?

now hopefully they do a complete set for R2

Ah shit shit shit, I shouldn't have waited to place my order... I'm going to shoot TRSI an email to find out what happened if I can. And I don't believe they ever made a box for it.

Too bad it's going to have that dopey "Anime Legends" header on it. Small thing I know, but putting it on every one of their thinpaks isn't really proper use of the term "Legend". Still angry that they skimped the second season down to fewer episodes per DVD than the first, making it ultimately cost more and be asymmetrical with the first on the shelf.

They pulled both Ah My Buddha and the Genshiken 2 bundle from the sale at midnight on Monday, for reasons unexplained.

yeah, that adding the R2 sets from 3 to 4 dvd sets pissed me off too. I decided to wait it out to a proper boxset like the legend with R2.

Nothing's been said about it yet. Though Bandai has finally been exploring Blu-ray releases, so who knows what the future holds.

Both are Media Blasters... maybe they did the same as Viz

Wouldn't surprise me. The e-mail I got back said they sold out of their limited number of bundles, but I know that's crap considering they've still got them in stock in singles (and the bundle was just all six singles), and it'd be quite a coincidence if they both sold out at the same time. Probably for the best, my collection's got enough fluffy harem series as is, needs more manly anime.

Upscale alert. Mediocre anime alert, for that matter.
Either you been watching the soup or the actual show with that Tran guy on there.
haha, Yeah The Soup is where I saw it.

Thanks for the heads up here, I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Clearly time to make my order.

Considering that I bought all 6 DVD's for $19 each back then, getting it all in 1 Blu-ray for $22.49 is a good deal.

I actually enjoyed this show.

It doesn't really take off until the 3rd or 4th episode.

It's goodly mediocre with nice art, and the fact that any "main" characters can be killed off any time is a nice added suspense factor... sort of.
hey guys just wondering- what was the lowest price of cowboy bebop complete remix collection? I am thinking about buying that.

^ It's been around $23 during some of the DeepDiscount sales earlier this year.
I remember Cowboy Bebop Remix being $19.99 at one point. It is almost always on sale for $25 though, if you do decide to wait.
ohh what has the cheapest death note has been around?
$24.99 a season when i bought it last October i believe.

I ordered season 4 of slayers on bluray, Tsubasa season 2 (also on bluray), and kenichi season 2 complete yesterday. Oh, and the Fruits Basket journal
