CC almost always stores games in the back.

The guy who works the video game section at the CC near where I work is very nice and patient and always checks the store's inventory as well as the inventories of other nearby CCs for me. You need to ask them to go into the system that looks like DOS and have them check there. Most CC employees will only use the circuitcity.com website, which of course will not have the clearance games listed on it. It'll save them a lot of time if you bring the SKUs in on a piece of paper for them to check their inventory (google search).

Hope that helps people who are looking for the 16.96 clearance games.
Thanks to the OP. Picked up VT3 today in Somerville, MA.
whoa, that store is 5 minutes away from my home. you're close! :)

lol, that was the last one there, wasn't it? I remember I saw one left after I grabbed one earlier this week.

It actually took me a while to find. There were two shelves of 360 games, a lower one with most of the games, and a top one with games that were on sale or special for some reason. VT3 was on the top shelf on the right side. Glad I didn't give up after looking through the lower shelf. May or may not have been the last copy, I didn't look any more after I found it.

I didn't see this posted in the OP or see anyone else reporting this game at $16.96, but my local CC had 3-4 copies of Final Fantasy III DS marked in the bin at $16.96. I already have it so didn't take it up to the front to see if it rang up at that price but just a heads up to you guys.

They also had Thrillville for the Ps2 marked at $16.96 which I DID pick up. It rang up at $19.99 but they price adjusted it for me.
any idea if onimusha dod, god hand past 16.96 games dropped more from those prices?
I believe so, but I can't even find any copies of those good games after the clearance started a month ago or so.
I'll wait til it has 25% extra off after 7/8.
Since the good stuff will probably be gone by then you might want to buy now and price adjust later.
That happened to me also. Contact was the one I actually wanted
Contact was on previous clearance lists, so I imagine it's disappeared fast.

Looking for Chocobo, Virtua Tennis, DDR, and Just Cause myself.

Dear God. This is the last time I ever buy a game just because it is a good deal. DOAX2 has to be the biggest pile of crap that ever graced any of my consoles. I popped it in for about 15 minutes before I yanked it out of my 360 in disgust. Thank God used copies sell for at least $22 shipped on eBay because I would have been depressed if I lost money on this. Avoid this game!

lol...i havent played it yet but was shocked it wasnt 2 player offline...its freaking volleyball...

sucks I really wanted no Virtua Tennis, but none of my CC had them in stock the day this sale started.

I picked up onimusha dod yesterday and it was still 16.96

Thanks OPS, I just got DDR Universe at CC. However I need a good, cheap (but sturdy) dance-pad for the 360. can anyone recommend one?

The local desperate Ebayers missed one. Stopped by CC on the way to lunch to pick up a $5 Minority Report DVD and a quick shuffle through the 360 section found there was one 360 VT3 behind some soccer title.

Looking forward to playing it.

I'm pretty sure this is your store or YMMV because they were all 39.95 at my CC

getting my hopes up again

? Cute, but you'll have to be more direct.

Actually a follow up-post

Is anyone else seeing FFIII in clearance? Because I would love to get my hands on it for $16 or $12 after PM. I've been waiting forever for it to drop in price:bomb:
lol i thought you were being zarcastic and gonna flip it

my bad?
OK, misunderstanding then.

No, I was actually surprised to find one for myself to play (as always), especially given that I didn't see it last week (but still got Chocobo Tales--fun little game for on the go).

oooo does this imply a restock of my fave games avatar and robinsons??

There were a couple of Chocobo Tales that I didn't see before, and quite a few DOAX2 that I didn't notice before either, so one never knows about what might be restocked.

Still, no Just Cause 360 which I would've gone for if available.

One of my CCs already have these titles in the clearance bin with the new price. Another CC still has them on the regular shelf with their original price. Talk about a lack of uniformity.

Yeah, I saw them all marked correctly in a bin at a CC about 4 days ago. The only things left as a result were Chocobo Tales and Avatar. But another one not too far from there still had them locked up in the cases (which is the best for us CAGs since no one can even touch them until they track down a hard-to-find CC employee to open it ;)). There was nothing spectacular there, either, but I was able to get another MtR/Avatar pair and I saw a DDRU in the case (but left it).

I just bought DOAX2 and Virtua Tennis 3. To my suprise they were still at the store after I came back from vactation. Great deal if you ask me. However, after playing DOAX2 I *probably* should have left that one on the shelf. I'll give it some more time though.

The only games ive been interested in ar VT3, Chocobo Tales, and Contact and have yet to see a single copy of any of them, and usally between the 3 local CC's i can usually find what i want. Ive seen just about every other clearance game.

Same here. I was hoping it would be more of a "great party joke" to show people the intro like the first one was. Instead I found the entire hi-def DOAX2 experience to be creepy and offputting. Gee. Wonder why this turkey didn't fly off the shelves at $60 retail...

And it came out in August. It's still under a year old. Nintendo console games generally take a long while before going Players Choice and/or dropping in price. 'Specially when they're exclusives. Not to be a raincloud, but you may be waiting a while.

If a retailer has another Buy 2, get 1 free sale (like TRU just had last week), that might be a decent time to pick that up with other higher price games.
Think Walmart would price match VT3?
Unless it's in a flyer and marked as a Sale and not Clearance, that's going to be pretty challanging.

That makes Xerxes a sad panda... Fry's was being all pissy about calling a CC...
