i went to a halloween party last nite and some dude showed up dressed as chaplin...awesome costume and he played the part well.
mirrormask...just opened this weekend here in vancouver. story was kinda weak, definitely left something to be desired. the visuals and soundscape were pretty impressive and worth the price of admition. it was like a modern version of alice in wonderland meets wizard of oz meets neverending story meets labrynth with a touch of the dark crystal (i hate comparing films normally, but you could argue that this film wouldn't exist without liberally borrowing from those films). i would have liked to have seen a little more henson influence and a better story.
