Okay, I'm rooting for the Jaguars, David Garrard, do your stuff in the AFC and in the NFC I have to go with my Cowboys, come on guys, this year we have to, absolutely have to go to the 2nd round of the playoffs with a playoff win.
What happened to New England? The Buccs are looking good though!
You're listening to those announcers too much... They're not trying to win in the preseason. They want to see what younger players can do in certain situations, even if the play they run to see that isn't the best play to win the game. Its all about assessing what you have on your roster, who gets cut and who stays. The veterans don't need the preseason to get tuned up.

Agreed. It also seems that your teams that do really good in preseason usually suck ass during the regular season compared to the teams that do very shitty in preseason.

49ers quarterback competition is pretty much done.

"QB Rotation to Remain the Same

Head coach Mike Nolan said that the team will keep the same quarterback rotation for Thursday’s game, going with J.T. O’Sullivan first, Alex Smith second, and Shaun Hill third.

“The quarterback rotation will be the same for Chicago on Thursday. We have a short week to prepare, and I want to keep the team focused on the Bears,” said Nolan. “The starters will most likely play the first half, with the second unit coming in during the third quarter.”

If this was still a QB competition he would at least give Smith a chance to play with the first team offense. And fuck Nolan's lame excuse for keeping the rotation as is. Starting Smith instead of O'Sullivan isn't going to fuck up the teams focus on the Bears. I want to see what Smith can do with the first team offense.

Yeah I do not understand why Smith does not get time with the first offense. Nolan is an idiot.

anyone know of a place where i can dl nfl games? i didnt think id have a touch time finding them but i guess ppl just dont upload them..especially pre-season

I'm hoping this is just a big joke...and i'll wake up...

This wasn't a QB Competition...Martz made his pick even before the season started...he wanted HIS guy....and I have no problem with that...but just say who the coddamn QB is and stop fuckin' with the team...fans...

Writing's on the wall for Smith...he's gone...it's a shame...dude's only 24 and will do very good things in this league given a coach that will back him...

The only solace I can take in this season is Nolan will hopefully be fired...and my big wish is Holmgren will come back to his roots...
J.T. O' Sullivan looked like a coddamn starting QB....how bout' that...

Alex Smith on the other hand...
I don't know much about the 49er QB deal so.... are they getting equal reps?

Glad to see Smith play with the first team offense but damn some of throws were off.
I don't know much about the 49er QB deal so.... are they getting equal reps?
No. Lately its been all JT running with the first team at practice and during preseason.

Tonight was a first time in a long time the Niners offense looked like a real NFL offense. Not putting it in from the 1 yard line was poor but O'Sullivan did look good tonight.

Since camp started it was Smith with 1...split with Hill....then when Martz starting clamoring about J.T....J.T.'s been with the 1st team for about I wanna say a month...

Basically it's J.T.'s team and until Smith gets ahold of this offense/grows some balls it'll be J.T.'s team.

True...I didn't understand hammering it with Gore...that's what Keasey/Norris is for...

I was very impressed with that play where O'Sullivan scrambled to his right and gunned it to Jason Hill in the endzone. Smith could never do that...

I don't care who starts...as long as we win...it's the pre-season but it's nice to see us score some points.

You know, how long has TJ whosyourmama been in the league? 8 years?

He has only been really sweet for the last couple of years right? Maybe I havent been paying attention but he has been really good for the last 3 years...what the hell happened to him the first 5?

Osi is gone for the year.. it will be a miracle if they make the playoffs with all their defensive losses.. the jinx of the SB winner continues..
Strahan is thinking for coming out of retirement. It will be interesting to see if he can get back into shape.
Really? He must have a lotta love for the Giants
ugh.. so much for the bengals turning the corner...
Yeah, uh....Ship and I went to the preseason game Saturday night with my sister and Commish. It was the worst football game in the world! Palmer got sacked 100 times before the first quarter was over (yes, I'm exaggerating). By the third quarter's end I had played every game in Commish's iPhone because I was so bored. They don't look ready to play amateur football, let alone the schedule they've got coming to them. I was honestly surprised that they didn't fire Marvin Lewis by the end of the game. The defense was so bad that even Reggie Bush looked good. It was very, very sad. I almost felt ripped off for getting free tickets.

I don't think they'll win 8 games with the amount of personnel they've lost.

It'll be tough....if Strahan comes back and Kiwanuka (sp?) will help heal the loss of Osi....honestly I see no reason they shouldn't make the playoffs.

NFC West:Seahawks
North: Greenbay
South: (Take your pick)
East: Cowboys

Let's say that's the way they roll out.....2 spots left...i'd say they're in....

The Bengals released Rudi Johnson, Deltha O'Neal, and Willie Anderson today.

At least they're not pretending to be contenders before the season even starts.

Jesus fucking Christ what are they thinking!?!?!?

...Not to mention Chad Javon Ocho Cinco

Rudi has lost a step, but I figured the Bengals would keep him around for another year or two.

Is someone going to tell Chad that 85 in spanish is not ocho cinco?

Whether that story is true or not, Bengals need to cut his ass. The nonsense he does has gone from entertaining to annoying. Ever since that HOF 20?? jacket he has been irritating.

The Bengals are fucking idiots for not screwing the Redskins over and taking those two first round picks.

Wow. I didn't know Ocho Cinco is now...well, Ocho Cinco.

Maybe he can hang with this cool cat now.

*snort*

I'm not ruined on Ocho Cinco yet (though not calling him Chad Johnson may prove difficult).

Bet Mike Brown's pleased, as people will need to replace virtually every jersey they have that isn't Carson Palmer or TJ Houshmandzadeh.

But back to 85 (there, that's better), his complaints about the Bengals' unwillingness to spend money to build a team didn't fall on deaf ears to me. His constant bitching about the team in the offseason matched precisely what Bengals' fans have said about the team every year since 1991 (except for that one year; 2004? 2005? whenever they went above 8 and 8 since George HW Bush was President). So I agree with him. That said, he ruined his goodwill by going about it in a "fuck this, trade me" way.

If he doesn't perform this year, or throws another fit, then fuck him and send him packing. I'm fine with Housmandzadeh as the star WR, because he's damned good and deserves it. But if this year is more of the same, it's time to trade 85 and probably Chris Henry, should he not get arrested before the end of the year.

I'm fine if a WR says "the organization needs to do something to make this team better" but there's a way to handle it. Which the likes of Chad/T.O. have no idea how to do.

The Bengals are a mess because they have no clue what there doing. You have a top 3 QB in Palmer, a top 10-15 WR in Housmanzadeh, a young defense who will improve this year.

Not trading Chad for the 2 1st's and re-signing Henry put this team back another 2-3 seasons.

As much as we need reciever help, I'm glad we didn't get Chad.

Chad is overrated.

Wasn't last year the 1st time he didn't lead the league in recieving yards? Take it for what you will, but Housmanzadeh>>>>>Ocho Bullshit.

Can he opt out after this year?

Who's watching the game? New York is raping Washington, which is unfortunate since I hate the Giants for what they did to my Packers in the NFC Championship game.

Business has just picked up! The Skins, after not completing a pass or even getting a first down for most of the first half, have cut it to 16-7.

I made a blog post showing my predictions for the upcoming season.

And...the Bengals...wow. The only reason they allowed this to happen is because they know they won't finish below the Ravens this year.

LOL, your Packers did that to themselves. Tynes tried to give them back the game but Brett Favre would have non of it.

Good lord the Giants should be winning by 30 with the piss poor offense the Skins are playing.

God damn. This is one of the worst openers I have ever seen.

Can the redskins suck any more than they already do? The giants are not looking great either aside from their defense which is playing awesome.

But there offense hasnt done shit all game other than that first drive.

Bah.

That was an awful game. Turned it off at halftime.
It probably doesn't help that not only do I not care about either team, but I don't have any players from either team in any of my fantasy teams.
