I like how people get all pissed off at Chad Johnson. He is a elite WR and top 5 at his position in the NFL. He is on one of the worst fucking teams in the NFL. They are bottom 6 most likely and people get pissed because he tries to have fun?

You should be happy that he is doing anything other than complain and demanding a trade out. What else can you do when you are the best on your team and best in the NFL, you might as well have some fun.

I am glad to see the Lions lose to the Falcons. HA cant wait to listen to the streaming talk shows tomorrow.
There's a point where you get tired of the antics and the penalties.

Romo could be making a ham sandwich and grabbing a coke almost every play.

And there is a point when a elite WR gets tired of his team playing like shit every year.

He shows up every week. All of his antics do nothing to anyone else. How does him changing his name make Palmer throw better? It doesnt. Chad is a fun guy whos fun only hurts himself and despite that he still is one of the best WR in the game. How is it chads fault that none of the Bengals seem to be able to tackle. It doesnt.

Its to the point when people just look for anything to blame because they cant admit that they are the problem so they point the finger at the easiest target and thats Chad.

In other news....it really fucking sucks that I have to watch the panthers bolts game. I am going to have to find some way to get more games without a dish.

Chad Johnson is an attention whore. It isn't about having fun.

The endzone dances were fine, that was about fun, but when you start putting on HOF 20?? jackets, his absurd holdout (not the fact he wanted one, but how he went about it), and changing your name to a catchphrase just before the regular season starts it becomes about him, not the team. It's a tired act. The entire Bengals franchise is a joke and Chad is the punchline.

It doesn't suck. As long as Jake is in at QB the Panthers are always a fun team to watch (especially when Smith is playing).

fucking Hoover should have caught that. That said, I do like that they are sending a message that this isn't last years team and they plan to be a force in the NFC.

Again thats bullshit. Who cares what he does. Again its not him missing every single tackles. Its not him not blocking for Palmer. Its not him not completing passes to himself and TJ.

Chad is the best player BY FAR on that team and yes he has a bad game every once and a while but for the most part he puts up and its somehow his fault? The only reason they even compete 90% of the time his because of him.

And whats more distracting chad changing his name or the 15 Bengals players that get fucking arrested every year?

Bottom line is there is a ton of shit wrong in Cinny and its just easier to blame Chad than admit your QB fucking sucks, your line it horrid, your defense is a joke, and you head coach can call to save his life.

I've never thought anyone really blamed Chad for the Bengals' losses. Just that a good chunk of the fans are tired of his antics.

I think they do. The media seems to be very quick to say he is a huge distraction causing huge riffs in the locker room.

And I think there is an under lying hate toward Chad because the only news in Cinny is either Bengals lose another one or Chad's antics.

I also think its less of him being an attention whore and more of the media having literally nothing else to report on but him.

I just feel that more fans point the finger that him for their woes instead of admitting that the team is just plain bad.
No Fun League :bomb:

You know what that reminded me of?

The Rams Bob and Weave when a lineman ran it in. I remember the announcer saying, "Well would you look at that celerbration. Its more like lunge and stumble with all those linemen."

God I miss the NFL when it was actually fun to watch. By the way can anyone find a clip of the bob and weave I cant find it anywhere.

Who was singling out Chad Ocho Cinco? Not I. I lament the Bengals on the whole. I actually agree with Ocho Cinco's complaints, but not the arrogant way in which he went about making them. It stung too much like Corey Dillon several years prior.

Only upside to this game is it might be one step to the firing of Mike Nolan...

J.T. O 'Sullivan played a good game...Frank Gore killed it.....just coddamn turnovers.....

Man, fuck the panthers! It's rough being chargers fan. I would rather have my team get blown out and lose, rather than lose close games like they have done TONS of times over the past few years..

Football Across America or whatever the NBC pregame show is called says the Brady injury is a season threatening knee injury. Reminded me way to much of the Carson Palmer injury that sent the Bengals back into the nosedive that is the Bungals.

AND of course the guy I played today in my big money fantasy league drafted Romo over Brady and Marion Barber with his other top pick of course.... I still hanging close though goint into tonight/monday. :D

I have 4 losses now. Second half games got me. Holy crap @ Panthers winning. Wow @ Brady out for the year.

According to Yahoo, Brady is out for the year.
Although, while I feel awful for Brady, I'm just happy that IF this is true, there's no way we would have to play them in the SuperBowl this year.
When the AFC East heres news of this, they'll be SO DAMN HAPPY.
If Cassell is the starter, the Bills are going to win the AFC East.

That's so awesome. Not the injury itself, but the fact that the Pats as a team will suffer.

But Azu, the Vikings in the Super Bowl? No way. They may not even make the playoffs.

The Patriots need to coax Daunte Culpepper out of retirement. While I hated them, Culpepper to Moss was a great tandem.

Two major thoughts for the opening week of football:

1. Looks like the Cardiac Cats are back (referring to Carolina's habit of winning games in dramatic fashion). GO PANTHERS!

2. How 'bout Tom Brady? I hope the Yahoo report is correct and he is done for the year. Then New England fans will finally be able to stop talking trash and instead bitch about how bad they have it while the rest of the world laughs at them.

Good game for Arizona today, though I think Leinart should be starting instead of Warner. I'm surprised how much Boldin got involved with the offense in the second half after doing nothing in the first half.

If you read my blog, you could've commented about the Vikings, but then again, I said the Pats would win the AFC East....well...so did everyone. Um...yeah.

Hey Belicock, ain't Karma a bitch...

O Shit dude. That would be awesome if Culpepper came back to play in New England. Pepper to Moss all day.

This is a really bad year for me already.

I am a Titans, Pats, Jags fan. In that order always.

Vince Young goes down then Tom Brady.....just my luck DG or MJD will go down in their next game.

By the way.....bitch ass Manning is way more of the NFL "Golden Boy" then Tom Brady. Manning with his bitch ass constant tv ads and his smug attitude. Man he deserves to lose always. I am glad the bears are beating them and hope their season goes down the shitter quick.

The Pats still have a fighting chance with Matt Cassel at QB. There are a lot of worse teams with mediocre QB's that think they have a chance.

Chris Simms and possibly Tim Rattay are coming in on Monday.

That sucks about Brady. I hope he's able to make a full return to his old self next year.

Bears are laying the hammer down. This new stadium isn't working out so good. Back to the dome!
Interior of the O-line really needs to come together until Saturday comes back. There goes that unbeaten streak in September. Good run though.

I'll admit that Cassel looked pretty good today. He has some things he needs to improve on that's for sure. My biggest things obviously is better timing of throwing the ball. He seemed to be not quite in sync as Brady is, but to give credit where its due Cassel has spent most of his pro career on the sideline holding the clipboard. Pats still have a great chance regardless but we'll see.

I do hope Tom gets well soon too.

Cassel looked decent but keep in mind they were playing a very bad KC Chiefs team. It will be interesting to see how he plays against some of the better teams in the league.

The way you feel about Manning is the way most people feel about Chad "attention whore" Johnson. The only difference is Peyton isn't a dumbass like Chad.

What a rough game to watch for non-Bears fans. Dink and dunk, dink and dunk. Haven't seen this in a while. Feels like a pre-season game for the Colts offensively.

They've got a fairly easy schedule, I don't think 10 wins is unreasonable.

@ Jets
Dolphins
-bye-
@ 49ers
@ Chargers
Broncos
Rams
@ Colts
Bills
Jets
Dolphins
Steelers
@ Seahawks
@ Raiders
Cardinals
@ Bills

That is true. However he's got to build his confidence in being able to lead the team somewhere. I know the next two games aren't exactly the better teams on paper but it should be a good test to see how well he does now with him going into the games knowing he's the starting QB for now.

Wow, Colts are celebrating the Bears win with a fireworks show! Truly, this epitomizes sportsmanship.

Edit: Did you guys see the post-game interview with Urlacher? It looked like he was about take Andrea Kramer's head off when she said it was an upset.

Good God, I hadn't looked at their schedule until now. Yeah 10 wins is not a stretch at all!

I can pick out 8 games they could win out of their remaining schedule (They aren't beating the Jets, Colts, Bolts, Seahawks and Bills though)

They expect that Cassel will be their starter for the rest of the year, they just want some veteran insurance behind him. Right now all they have is Kevin O'Connell, who they just drafted.

Cassel's greatest strengths are that he knows the system and fits within it, they don't have to change anything for him.

Kinda like Sorgi in Indy. He's rode the pine for several years as Peyton's understudy and could do a decent job of running the offense should Manning go down.
