He freakin completely detached his tendon from his pubic bones, give the man a break

I don't see why you hate him so much for his character. Its not like you know the guy, unless he stole your milk in grade school or something.
Can you really blame him? They rely on him waaayyyy too much. They really never had a great passing game ( Until this season - Philips Rivers played awesome - Pro Bowl Snub right there ). You can't expect this dude to do everything when your passing game blows.
This is where I would disagree. They didnt HAVE to relay on LDT, they had a guy named Turner in the back field would ran for 1600 plus yards this year with a rookie QB.

I also think a lot of the TD he got were on the back of turner and sproiles. If those guys dont get gipped out of more TD than anyone else in the league.

Apparently he didnt. But no its not like that.....I say hate but in a very casually way. About the same amount people hate Brittany Spears or any other celb. Just a very casual hate that comes up only when people are talking about football. After the game I will completely forget about him.

And he did steal my milk money.

:) Ah OK, that's legit. I do the same.
Exxxactly.

As much as people want to throw his stats around I can never remember a time where he had made a "play" that really counted.
He just scored a TD.

And about his character, he is easily one of the nicest guys I have ever met. We see him alot around SD.
And about his character, he is easily one of the nicest guys I have ever met. We see him alot around SD.
He's a classy guy... Just ask him.

Again, he scored a TD on the back of someone else works I.E Gates huge catch and run....on the other hand fucking Darran Sproiles is out here doing EVERYTHING.

I am not going to bust a nut beacuse LDT can run it in from the 5. Sproiles is out here killing people from 20-30 yards out, chipping linebackers and returning it for 30 yards each time they kick to him.

Thats exactly what I am talking about. Turner/Sproiles/Gates/Chambers and company make huge plays all over the field and they always go to LDT in the end zone.

I am not saying he doesnt have flashes of brillances I am just saying that LDT DOES NOT do as much as people give him credit for. He is the king of the off tackle 8 yard TD run but at least give the other people on the team credit for constantly getting LDT the chance to basically steal the thunder for the TD.

All I am saying is whenever they need a first down LDT is not the one getting it.
He's a classy guy... Just ask him.
:applause:

Speaking as a Pats fan I dislike him because of him being a spoil sport when the Chargers handed the Patriots a playoff win 2 years ago.

Part of him struggling now is just age. Running backs have only so many rushes before they break down. And there are very few exceptions to that rule.

Kind of glad to see the Cards win. 60 years between home playoff games is a little embarrassing.

Great Game! I will assume that Sproles will leave in the offseason like Turner did. But you gotta love the little guy!

Yeah refs did give them the game over OT. That should've been intentional grounding and the 2 bullshit holding call on Defense. Either way, Peyton choked against Chargers again. Only 17 points and getting sacked at the 1? That was just stupid.
Wow the refs are making sure the Chargers win this game.

Christ.
They weren't terrible calls. The game once again could have went either way.

So is this not proof that LDT is the single most expendable apparent Hall of Famer in the league?

I also love the fact that event though sproiles was working his ass off they constantly talked and showed LDT like he actually had anything to do with the game.

That was a exciting game but damn both teams looked horrid at times. The Colts need cut Marvin Harrison and find a real number 2 WR. That guy is horrid in every way now. Also, fire the defensive coordinator and find a guy who can actually create blitz schemes and not simply rely on Dwight's and Bob Sander abilities to just make things happen. That was one of the worst defensively called game I have season all season.

A running game wouldnt hurt either.

Ah well I dislike both teams here is hoping that the Bolts lose in the next round.

Actually it's the Pats at the end of the game were the ones being douches by dancing stomping, on the Chargers helmet at mid-field. I saw it at the end of the game,
I thought it was pretty shitty also.

Yeah, I didn't understand why NBC felt like they to have cut-aways to L.T? To the Colts, I wonder if they will look to get another WR in the draft or FA.
They weren't terrible calls. The game once again could have went either way.
I dont think they were really bad calls but I am REALLY REALLY against Ref deciding the outcome of any sport. Let the players decide the game...not the refs.

3 auto first down calls in a row while one team is on the 30 in over time? Thats a little much in my opinion.

The holding call should have been let go as that wasnt any more than what happens in almost every play of the game and the play was busted anyway. The face mask call was straight bullshit as it had no barring on what was going on. Sproiles was clearly going down regardless of what happened so in that situation where you know that calling it will clearly effect the outcome of the game I would rather have it not called.

Although I am really critical of NBA refs and such I do love the fact that you dont get a call unless you are bleeding to death in the last 1 min of a game.

Now of course this cant really be applied to the NFL but come on....calling a 15 yard face mask on a guy who got tackled 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage is completely over stepping your bounds as a ref when you fully know that doing so will cause that team to win the game.

Actually the Chargers are known around the league as the team that talks the most shit without having won shit, at least since Pittsburgh won.

And they weren't stomping on the Chargers logo, they were doing Shawne Merriman's dance on it.

Yeah, you are correct about both things. I think that's what's hurts SD is their cocky-ness. About the Pats mid-field thing, I just did not feel like typing out Merriman's name. I'm on via PS3. Hell, as a fan I don't even like Merriman's dance!

Stupid Colt's defense imploded in OT. The penalties they got called for were legit, but would have had no real bearing on the play (i.e. the facemask, even if it hadn't been seen, wouldn't have helped stop the play, etc.). Just stupid mistakes from a pretty veteran D.

Soodmeg, I do agree with you to an extent. If a penalty is painfully obvious, like the facemask was call it. Some of the other stuff did not need to be called. I think was because of the way Sproles head was twisted around is why it was called.

I like to watch Sproles play, but more than anything, I love seeing him get tackled because he seems to take some really odd hits.

I'm not sure the Colts are gonna replace Ron Meeks anytime soon (the defensive coordinator). Even with Dungy possibly leaving the coaching staff seems to be in place with his heir apparent, Jim Caldwell, waiting in the wings. More than any other team, the Colts seem to stick to what they do, regardless of the competition, which as a fan, can get frustrating when they lose to the Chargers two years in a row in the playoffs.

I would really love to see what a Cowher led defense could do to this defense, but that's not gonna happen. I'm not even sure the personnel is right for a Cowher defense.

The penalties aren't something the team or fans should be griping about. Their inability to run, which has been evident all season long, came back to bite them in the ass. 3rd down and 2 yards to go with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter and they couldn't line up and run the ball. The Chargers had no timeouts left at that point, so at best, they would have gotten the ball back with less than 30 seconds on the clock. Instead, they had to get cute and go to an empty backfield, getting dropped at the 1 yard line. I wouldn't put that solely on Manning. That's on a whole year's worth of a fruitless running game.
i'm having all the road teams win this weekend.
How's that working out for you so far? ;) I really really hope the home team winning continues today - especially for the 4:30 game.
I would love to see the Eagles lose today. In dramatic fashion on the last play of the game, specifically.
Fixed!

Also, the Pats are going to franchise Cassel - $14M/year!!!

Jesus this game sucks to watch.

I do love that B-moore defense though but 4 TO and only 2 FG from the offense? That wont be enough when you going against a defense better than MIA....which is almost everyone of the ones left.

Man this game was a waste of a couple hours.

Other than the stellar Ravens defense it was horrid. MIA offense and defense was terrible through out. Ravens offense was equally as terrible through out the game other than a few flashes in the pan plays.

I am excited for the Philly, Vikings game though lets see how that goes.

I am also really excited for the Titans game next week and have full confidence that we can pull out a close one with our defense vs the lackluster offense of the Ravens. We just have to watch out for Ball Hawking Ed Reed though.

The rules in the NFL are complete bullshit. I love the fact that you can sack a QB by just being around the QB instead of actually taking him down.

Uh oh. Think we jinxed em.

I saw all the games on a DVR delay since I was at Staples center on Saturday night and had people over Sunday. Two games ended how I wanted them to; two ended the way I did not. Fortunately, all were competitive and the ones that mattered had the teams I wanted to win, winning. I'm just glad the Vikings are out, and even though the result was spoiled for me, I enjoyed watching the Chargers win.

Totally agreed. Even though I hate the Eagles more than any other NFL team and the fact that they are even in the playoffs with their 9-6-1 record and the 11-5 Patriots are out (who I also hate), that sack was complete bullshit. Apparently pushing the QB backwards = sack. Who knew?

This week's game is the only match up I feared for the Giants and it has come to pass. I think they will be ready though with the extra week off and Brandon Jacobs healthy. It should be a good game.

The Vikings definitely need a new QB, either a good free agent or one through the draft because Jackson clearly showed that he's not the QB that they need to succeed.

Reading the news ticker on ESPN, the Cowboys have released Adam Jones because of allegations they've become aware of that he was involved in another shooting or conspiracy to commit one in Atlanta while with Tennessee. Is there anything else left for him in the league?

Eric Mangini's also been reportedly hired by Cleveland and will be announced as the new head coach Thursday. The Yahoo article mentions that Crennel may even come back as an assisitant, which is odd, but not a bad idea.
Eagles
Panthers
Chargers
Ravens
There's no way 3 road dogs are winning this weekend. I would bet the farm on it. I think people are getting sucked in by the Eagles who lost just 3 weeks ago 10-3 in a must-win game against a division rival and who have been inconsistent all year and also by the Ravens who rely 95% on the defense to win games - the Titans defense was EXCELLENT this year and they are facing a rookie QB who is playing a bit over his head at this point. The only reason I picked the Chargers (which I'm not completely sold on) is because historically one visiting team wins this week and Pittsburgh has no running game, Big Ben is completely banged up (one hit in the 1st Quarter and he could be done) and they played to an 18-10 game that was actually a lot closer. San Diego has a great QB, good WRs and Sproles is good enough to fill in for LDT (who is in rapid decline anyway). I think the Panthers are the safest bet - especially if Bolden is out but I won't be surprised by any outcome of any game.

The Eagles have been playing great the past 2 weeks. Needless to say that the Giants have dropped off within the past few games they played. They are going into this game off with 2 weeks off rest and no momentum what so ever. They are looking very shaky. The only way the Giants will beat the Eagles is if they rush for more then 200 yards. Eli will not beat the Eagles with his arm.

Picks:

Baltimore
Pittsburgh
New York G-Men
Arizona (ahahahaha yeah right)

I don't really care anymore, because I let my Viking pride get in the way of intelligence and I picked the Vikes to win the Superbowl in a money pool so it doesn't really matter who I pick.

Baltimore, I picked because I think they are the better team.(how can you NOT like the Raven's D)
Eagles, I picked because see pimpin's answer.
Chargers, I picked because I'm a Chargers fan.
Panthers I picked because I think that they will be representing the NFC in the SB.
