It was a defensive battle as predicted. The Ravens D is great, but to go to/win the SB the O has to play better.
Well they did play a great Defense in the Titans. If they have to play the Steelers next week ( I hope the Chargers win tomorrow ) then the Ravens have no chance against that Steelers D. Now if they play the Chargers I can see the Ravens winning that game.

Congrats Raven even though you didnt do much you did enough to win the game and I tip my hat to you and hope that you go on to win the superbowl.....or the Steelers. Much respect.

You made the plays when you needed them and we gave away every chance we had. Kerry you choked, White you chocked like I knew you were going to anyway.

Our offensive play calling was horrid all day......I cant believe that our entire offense is based on Chris Johnson like that.

Just a pitiful effort...just plain pitiful.

CBS just said that Joe did not step out of the end zone.

That was a hell of a game and really makes me wish I had a football game that actually represents what really happens.

Exclusive licenses sucks ass.

Anyway, the raven might want to find some offense somewhere though because as other have stated the Steelers are no joke and they have way more weapons than the Titans do.

Things I get out of this game.

Titans need a better offensive that can get it down with more than Gage and Johnson. Our defense was amazing and Keith Bulluck (who was pissed and kicking over bike racks after the game) should be made our offense was horrid.

There also needs to be some sort of check system for missed official calls, this is not about just this game all games. I am really getting sick of Refs missing HUGE calls.

I understand that people are human but you think with the 195353423 camera and instant replay they would have some sort of check system to catch those.
They just showed the replay, and Flacco didn't step out.

Also, at Keith Bulluck being a giant baby and pushing over the guard rails.
How is that being a baby? He is pissed because his offense completely gave a game after he and the defense spent the entire year being dominate.

I completely understand his reaction. But I would be punching White and Kerry in the face instead of bike racks.

Now it's time for the hero of Super Bowl XXXIV (no, not Mike A. Jones...) to get the job done... bring on the Panthers...

Well, the Cardinals have the greatest pure passer to ever play the game and the best wide receiver in the game today... the rest of the team isn't much to write home about but their defense does have good showings at times and their O-line wasn't terrible last week and Edge was actually able to get some running room...

Is Boldin playing? If he isn't then the Cards will lose this game. With him they have a slight chance. They also need to stop Carolina's 2 headed running game. DeAngelo Williams is a beast this year and Stewart is a great rookie.

:EDIT: Boldin is not playing. I don't have too much hope in the Cards winning. I really like Warner as a QB as well.
No Boldin. Carolina's going to win this game by about 3-4 touchdowns.
I'm going with a score of 34-20 so 2 TD's :D

After the first game this game doesnt have near the excitement, Cards are going to get eaten alive.

Hope the panthers loose though.

I agree about the excitement part. I'm not even going to watch it. Going to do homework instead so tomorrow I can come home after work and watch the Chargers game.

Fitzgerald >>> Boldin. They are both great, but Fitzgerald is in a class of his own... without him, the Cardinals would have no chance, but without Boldin they can still manage (Breaston has done a good job filling in).

BTW, a few big plays to Fitzgerald and then a small pass to Hightower and the game's now tied... Cards should just forget about the run and pass all the time... Edge ain't looking good today.

Wow the Arizona D showed up today. They are playing great out there. Larry Fitzgerald is by far the best WR in the NFL today. I swear I never see him drop or miss a pass. What a great WR.

I applaud the Cardinals. I, like many others, thought they would get crushed. I honestly hope they win now. I would love to see them go to the Super Bowl.

Good Arizona D or shitty Jake? Fitz is killing them yet they are leaving him WIDE OPEN. This game and one more game and they are SB bound, make it happen Warner!

I think this is the best that I've seen the defense play since Dallas, when they destroyed Romo and his offensive line.

I'd say that this is pretty much par for the course with Jake since they've been focusing more on rushing the last half of the season.

27-7 at the half after Rackers was just short on a 53 yd FG... Warner and Fitzgerald are ripping apart the Panthers secondary. At the start of the second, it seems like Carolina is finally getting pressure on Warner... no bueno.

33-7 at the 2 minute warning... great showing by the Cardinals... maybe we'll even get a Leinart cameo...

I think it's Jake more than it's the Cardinals D. He had a handful of bad regular season games but his D and Deangelo Williams were able to bail him out.

It was more Jake than anything else. Any D in the league would have been able to tear him apart with the throws he was making.

It seems that every once in a while Jake slips into "Joe Montana Mode" where he thinks he's 10x better than he really is and just makes the most boneheaded plays that only the truly great could possibly get away with. Unfortunately for him, he isn't one of the greats. Fox seriously should have pulled his ass at halftime.

Looks like another long off-season for us Panthers' fans.

WTF happened in the Titans game... Red Zone Offence was so damn terrible 3 times we gave the damn ball away...

secondly.... stupid officials not calling the delay of game on the 3rd down...

He got way out of rhythm last time he had an off week, so that could have played a factor. That said, the defense and the gameplan were weak. That pass defense had been getting destroyed for the past few weeks so I kind of thought they might have corrected that problem, they didn't. The lack of running game is really what irked me though. They should have ran the ball 40 times and Delhomme should have never been put in the position that he was. Why they continued to pass on three straight plays during some of their drives was baffling. Instead of working to attain a managable down and distance they kept hoping for the bomb and a big play. They completely turned their back on what made them successful and started playing like they were the Cardinals. It makes me sick to think that this team really had a legitimate shot at the title and they threw it all away because they got away from what brought them there.

I dont buy it that the arizona D showed up today. Its bogus when you only rush the ball a combined 15 times(12 to williams/3 to stewart) which is ludicrous to have two backs that can do some serious damage to a D and only use them that much. i mean williams rushed 65 yards on 12 attepmts. surely you give it to him 12-15 or split that number to stewart you could have worn out that D and it would open up the game for delhomme.

congrats to Zona though. They showed up today and now can have a shot to making arizona history.

Okay, I just got back from the game, and let me just say Holy Crap. Jake Delhomme, you played like fucking shit. 1 Fumble, 5 Interceptions. FIVE. FIVE. Let that sink in. FIVE. 2 of which came around or in the Endzone. And except for the one weird one, that was all him, all him. And it doesn't stop there.

6 different plays Carolina called with 11 guys in the box. WHO DOES THIS? I mean, when Arizona took the lead, the run was abandoned by Carolina, pure and simple. I mean, it was bad, and mainly because of Jake Delhomme.

Oh, the Defense couldn't stop the ONE GUY on Offense Arizona had. I've seen some bad playoff performances before, but this one ranks up there. I mean, I just have to wonder how many boxes of Bojangles the Cardinals offered Jake to play this poorly.

Tennessee got screwed on that delay of game that was not called on the Ravens but they had nobody to blame but themselves for the loss. They had their chances just too many critical turnovers. When you put up almost 400 yards of offense you should come away with more than 10 pts.

Delhomme did his bast Grossman impression. Man was that game ugly! How the hell did the Carolina D let Fitzgerald get loose like that? Boldin was out so he should've been double covered the entire game.
Unreal last night. Hopefully the upsets are over for the weekend. Delhomme + piss poor gameplan = Cardinals beat down.
I hope not. Hopefully the Steelers and the Giants fall as well in what i'm calling upset weekend :D

Do you REALLY want PHILLIP RIVERS to succeed? Really? He's the league's biggest dick. And yes, even more than TO. And yes, that's saying something.

It's not like you can expect much when Kerry Collins is your QB... he's not exactly a known winner.

Delhomme/Smith got totally outplayed by Warner/Fitzgerald. Even when they tried to double cover Fitzgerald he still made plays.

Now it's time for the San Diego Super Chargers to kick some ass!

Agreed, he is the leagues biggest dick.

I always its its funny that so many people hate Tom Brady just because he wins and its all his fault that the refs called a tuck rule. Mean while Phillip Rivers openly talks shit to every single other QB, gets into fights on field, runs his mouth to the media, attention whores himself out as much as he can.

He is the leagues biggest dick but I guess no one can see that behind all the "class" that LDT shows.

EDIT: I completely forgot about the Eagles.....I take back my Ravens winning, I hope the Eagles go all the way baby. They are starting out great right now.

Yup. I want Phillip Rivers to succeed. We lost our bowl game, Dallas lost, and Carolina lost. He is the last person playing that I actually care about.

Well that's just it. I think overall Collins and the Tennessee D did their jobs. The issue was his offensive teammates coughing up the ball all over the place.

Can someone explain intentional grounding?

These auto sacks are really starting to piss me off now a days.

McNabb was just called for it and it resulted in a safety but he was throwing the ball while getting hit. I dont get how that is intentional grounding.....no one knows where the ball will go when thrown while a QB is getting it.

It seemed pretty clear he was just throwing it to avoid a sack but how do you actually determine that? I have seen hundreds of QB getting hit while throwing and seen the ball land NO WHERE NEAR an a WR and it was just called a incomplete.

It's pretty much a judgment call by the refs. If the QB throws the ball while "in the grasp" of the defender, he's still in the pocket, and there's no receiver near the ball when it lands they'll usually call it.

They're basically making the judgment that the QB was about to get sacked and since the ball did not go near a receiver his intention was just to avoid the sack and the loss of yardage (or in this case a safety) by throwing an incomplete pass.

Ok, I am going to have to look at Kurt Warner again because he known around the league for throwing the ball away while getting hit so it doesnt result in a sack yet he rarely gets called for intentional ground.

Hell I have seen him spike the ball into the ground while going down to avoid a sack with no one near him.

Hmmm....

By the way, Eli is looking bad right now he has missed a couple easy passes.
