Is it just me or are the Steelers getting away with some late hits on Sproles at the end of some of his runs? It seems like he's down and a second later someone else jumps in to take a free shot.
yeah i noticed that a few times too

Man the Chargers D is getting owned on 3rd down...

EDIT: I know it's just the 3rd quarter but I think that might be the nail in the coffin the way the Steeler D is playing today.

Pitt need a TD out of this tough to really make it worth it.

EDIT:

Well in Miller we trust! MUAHAHAH if you can catch the replay of that one of the Chargers spun around in a circle like a little school girl on that PA.
Wait what? You cant advance a fumbled ball on a punt?

When the hell did that happen? Thats a dumbass rule.
It's because it wasn't the return man that it hit.

Ahhhh, I didnt see that and missed the replays.

As soon as you go to take a leak something big always happens. :(
Ahhhh, I didnt see that and missed the replays.

:D That is the truth! Man, if the Steelers punch it in on this 4th and one here it's over...

It's sort of bitter sweet to see the Chargers get beat. Philip Rivers is a bitch so he deserves it but on the other hand I like to see scrappy underdog players like Sproles win.

I think Rivers is just an amped up type of guy, and he just has inappropriate outbursts most of those happen in the first couple of seasons. I think he has/is maturing. I think he is a excellent QB, the AFC Championship last year where he played on literally one leg I think is what impressed me the most about him.

Naw, Rivers is just a bitch.

And I love how he just got slammed to the ground like that. They baby QBs why to much in the league now a days. They get paid big boy money then they should be hit like the other big boys.

I understand trying to protect them by making it so you cant dive at their knees or hit them in the head but slamming them? That should be legal just like slamming every other player.

My hats off to the Steelers, they played an EXCELLENT game. The T.O.P. just KILLED SD. Now 1st and goal off of the P.I., never mind touchdown Steelers.

SB picks?

Steelers/Eagles

I don't know, it's hard to choose. The Steelers have a better O than the Ravens and both D's are excellent.

The Eagles/Cards is a toss up. The Eagles have the experience.

I can think of several players that are huge douchebags. Probably a large majority of players. But he can be as big an asshole as he wants because he probably made more this season than the majority of us will make in a life time.

What? That doesnt really make sense at all. So if you make more money than someone you are allowed to act however you want?

Actually, I think, no, I know the majority of players are actually really nice guys he just isnt one of them.
And the Chargers show why they went 8 and 8 in the first place.....they are not that good.
They got more playoff wins than your Titans did.;)

Yes, yes it does.

It's not even that he is a jerk, he just gets into the game. Football without taunting and rivalries sucks.

yeah rivers make so much money, he is completely justified in being the biggest douche

Oh, well I guess I should stop complaining when rich people get let of easy for crimes.

You and I don't know that. I don't know ANY NFL players personally, do you? I would think that most NFL players have two sides to them on that is intense and energetic, crazy and the other side that does the charity work, etc.. I want to believe (but I don't know for sure) that Rivers is like that as well.
Oh, well I guess I should stop complaining when rich people get let of easy for crimes.
What the hell does being a criminal have to do with being a jerk? Being a jerk, which I don't think he is, is one thing but commiting a crime is something completely different. If they are a jerk, so what? Spouting your hate all over the place doesn't resolve anything. Being a jerk and commiting a crime are two completely unrelated subjects.

Well SD, as a fan you disappointed me early this season. But you turned it around, got into the playoffs and gave it another good shot. I hate to say it but see you next season.. Maybe next year.:)
You and I don't know that. I don't know ANY NFL players personally, do you?
No, but I know a lot of athletes, most college and some pro and I think its dumb to say lump about a thousand people into being assholes just because they play a pro sport.

I dont know a lot of Lawyers either but I wouldnt be comfortable saying that a majority of them are douche bags unless it was in a joking manner

You main point is that people with money should not be accountable for what they do. Thus making people with money somehow better than people without.

Thats all I am going say because I am not going to get into this on a football forum.

EDIT: Bryon Leftwhich still has a cannon.

Just like you can't expect to win anything with Kerry Collins as your QB...
You can't expect to win anything with Norv Turner as your coach!

What I meant was that most athletes have two sides to them on for the field and one for off the field. Meaning that maybe Rivers is just intense on the field and a nice guy off of the field, I was not trying imply that most players were assholes.

It's been fun to argue with you Soodmeg.:boxing::argue::bow:

Ahh, my bad must of misunderstood you.

I am going to bypass your little I got the last word thing and say I do not think people that are richer shouldn't be accountable for their actions. They should, but being a jerk doesn't really constitute anything but being a jerk. Regardless of whether he may be a jerk, isn't just as "douche" to constantly call someone a jerk because you have seen him play a couple games and maybe heard something from someone who heard from someone who saw something on tv from someone that saw Rivers? It goes both ways.
