Cant stand these games on Vs. I need to get a box in my room now to catch these games....and since im in NJ...i barely ever get to see Wings games....I wish they made that deal with ESPN.

wonder if Rafalski will play tonight...I think they can rest him with Lilja coming off IR.

He and Babcock are going to decide just before the game. I'd like to see him get right back out there with reduced minutes. The Wings NEED every point they can get. I'd imagine Paul Stastny will play tonight for the Aves.

About Lilja. Hopefully he can return to the penalty killing monster he was before the concussion. Crazy to think he hasn't played an NHL game in over a year. Welcome back big man. The PK needs you.

Over the break Kirk Maltby elected to have shoulder surgery and go on IR ending his regular season. That fixed any cap problems the Wings had.

Wings came with a strong effort tonight. Holmstrom had one waived off for old times sake. In the end it was a solid victory that they need big time.

How can you support the Red Wings as a Sharks fan, VIP? There are 3 teams in the league that I hate, and they go in this order:

1. Anaheim Ducks
2. Detroit Red Wings
3. San Jose Sharks

TC isn't gonna like me but... They aren't doing that well this year. They are suppose to be keeping the fucks and SARS at bay, it's all I ask. It's all I ask of any of the teams in the Western conference.

Keep the fucking fucks and sars out of the fucking playoffs!

Three teams I hate the most...

1. fuckS
2. SARS
3. Flyers (also known as Team Concussion)

I don't like the Stars or the Coyotes for obvious reasons, but the Kings usually beat them and they don't really offend me that badly. I certainly do not want to see them succeed, though.

Coyotes have done well so far but yeah, they are gonna be a place holder team. Kings may do good in the playoffs but only get a little farther than Phx. If the Wings get in which is always a chance even if they are down like this then I'll be a bit worried. What I don't want to have happen is the fucking fucks slide in by chance and do a repeat of last year. Flames will take themselves out. Colorado place holder. Vancouver, semi place holder. Hawks, worried about hopefully goalies take care of that. Preds place holder. Sharks... :sigh: Don't care. Expecting another flop I guess.

It was great to Lilja back. I also hear they are trying to trade Lebda at the deadline to give them some cap space..to make a run at someone. Yeah we do need every point we can get..but now the team is fully healthy so now we can start our hopefully.

holmstrom barely nicked anderson...but technically, i guess the call was right. just glad that liddy came through with the game winner.

Chelios..our generations late gordie howe. I expect him to play till he is 70

The Wings should they get in will be very dangerous. Last night is the first time this season they put their best lineup on the ice. They've been puttering at around .500 with a patchwork group. The Swedes interviewed seem to be very pissed about their Olympic result and appear extra motivated. Henrick Zetterberg as much as I like him has been....well not so good this entire season. If Jonathan Ericsson can remove his head from ass and stop being a turnover machine that will help too.

Didn't really want to bring it up. Was Joe Thornton at the Olympics? I mean I know he was on the team and I always liked Joe and gave him a pass, but the guy is proving he does nothing but pull a disappearing act come big games.

Lilja looked very good last night. Really great to see him on the ice. When I spoke with him in December he didn't even sound like he'd be playing hockey again. The guy seemed seriously down in the dumps. So glad he's been able to get back.

Half of Holmstrom's crease calls seem to come from reputation alone. They pay extra attention to him, but whatever I hate to bitch and moan. Pavel Datsyuk played his best game of the season last night. He had the puck on a string almost every shift. Nick is just being Nick. Getting better as the season goes on.

I don't think you should discount the Coyotes quite so much, yeah they lack playoff experience but they have had success against many of the playoff caliber teams. Regarding the Kings, I think the Coyotes are 2-2 against them this season?

Anyway, speaking as a Coyotes fan I'll be happy to just see them in the playoffs. But it would be nice to see them advance beyond the first round.

Watching the Blackhawks/Islanders game, and it doesn't look like our Olympians have missed a beat. Kane as a goal and an assist so far.

I can't wait to go on vacation next week. My wife and I will be seeing the Hawks vs Anaheim and LA at the Honda and Staples centers. It'll be the 4th and 5th time we've seen them on the road. :D

really bummed because i hate watching games on verses. i want to hear randy and drew call a game after a long break. they are the best in the biz.

I dunno... He puts up numbers even though it doesn't look like it. People that have no clue about hockey and the commentators seem too like him though. I question the whole team sometimes considering they are suppose to be "elite".

If you're referring to the Sharks as a Playoff caliber team... well, no offense but winning against the Sharks just doesn't mean much. They were probably... disinterested, took the day off, generally don't care, bored. Something along those lines.

^Yeah, I just saw highlights via On the Fly and they might as well just been orange cones.

I also saw highlights of the Kings game. It's great when the stupid analysis phrase Jerkco and then there's a game like this where everyone puts Jerkco in his place one what he really is. Speaking of the stupid analysis they phrased the SARS extending OTT's contract... wow.

im dying right now.

my gf just got 2 free tickets to the sharks game tonight. thats pretty epic by itself, but these are also lower level row 4, so they are some damn good seats. the only kicker, id have to fake leave work early and i have like no available time off (saving it for an upcoming trip).

edit.... didnt go  my brother and my gf ended up going. im very sad.

Some of the trades made by some teams don't make much sense. Namely the fucks, Canes, and Flames. Winner is Phx. They should be in a pretty good position now.

You go fucking Blues! I think I'm gonna add the Hicks (Nashville) to my shit list. I know they aren't going anywhere, but that fucking train whistle is getting fucking old.

Edit: These fucking Zebras have got to fucking go... christ. Oh and sharts!? Stop hitting the fucking post. You don't get anything for those. (I can't wait til they count because my friend and I will OWN at NHLxx...)

Unreal this guy didn't at least get a penalty on the play from last night.

yeah, dirty hit. nichol didnt come back into the game. the sharks really rallied after that play and had a new intensity. but a terrible blow call just a couple of feet from the ref.
I was really suprised the Aves gave up on Wolski so quick.
And Wolksi with the game winning goal with 23 seconds left against Colorado last night. :D

I saw a crazy game tonight (ECHL). Sadly, my team's 6 game winning streak ended, but the other team rallied from a 6-3 deficit to tie it up, and then the shootout ended up going 12 rounds with both teams scoring on over 50% of their shots. There were also 2 penalty shots in the game.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the Kings vs. Canadiens game.

The Kings played like shit against the Canadiens. Their defense was horrible, and they were literally falling all over the ice. Montreal won 4-2. At least 1/3 of the crowd, probably more, was Canadiens fans. And half of them were rude, annoying assholes.

LOL oh man, love it. Hitler loses it for fuckS. They were up 3 nothing and now they only get 1 point.

Also, I didn't see the game but nice win Wings.

As I was watching the Canadiens/Sharks game with that Lapierre hit, I thought to myself immediately that it was going to be one of those no-call suspensions. That was a painful game to lose.

Didn't see the first half of the Kings game, but the Kings didn't look too bad. From what little I've seen from the West, it's a more opportunitistic style and the Habs just managed to finish on a couple more occasions.

Ducks game was painful, I just about turned off the tv with 5 minutes to go before the comeback. Classic example of stealing a game.

That's funny... the only one that DOESN'T think it was a dirty hit is a Habs fan...

I hate the Ducks just like any good Kings fan but, similarities in spelling aside, referring to Jonas Hiller as "Hitler" is taking it a bit too far.

Except that I did think it was dirty, hence why I thought right away that it was suspension worthy.

Franzen cracks me up. Bolland went down like he was hit by a sniper and Johan let him know what he thought.

Damn it Wings, you better tie it... Both your laggy asses need the points...

Edit:
And... FAIL.
