Magic team is done, they need to break that team up and re-build around Dwight. Jameer Nelson, Vince Carter, Rashard... all disappearing acts and useless.
Rashard Lewis needs to go. The bench has actually stepped up compared to his contribution.
Rashard Lewis needs to go. The bench has actually stepped up compared to his contribution.
He's pretty much unmovable with his max contract though.
The defense has to be pretty good for you to just give up.
Partially. It does have to do with good defense. KG has shut Lewis completely down. It has also alot to do with the fact that their shots are falling. We have missed alot of good shot opportunities. Like I mentioned prior, Game 3 they started the game with no desire to win it. How can you win if you don't believe you can?
I think Perkins will adjust his play based on who he is defending. Perkins has to be doing something right if Howard is missing.
We will see next series. Bynum has a way better offensive game than Howard.
Resorting to flagrants... flagrant by Howard in game 2 and flagrant non-call by Barnes in game 3. Frustration foul lol. If you want to win you have to have focus and not resort to flagrants when you get frustrated. I don't see why you're arguing these points when you did not watch even half of game 2 or 3...
I watched all Game 2. Either way, the two flagrants had no outcome on the noncloseness of the game.
You're making a lot of claims for watching very little. I'm surprised by the amount of knowledge you have of players in the league given that.
I play Fantasy Basketball each year and I watch a lot of sportscenter.
My point was that Rondo slipped on wet floor, he didn't fall on his own or fake it and it did not help him.
I never said he did it on purpose. All I said was it would be called a travel in college since he shuffled his feet without dribbling the ball.
Yes Pierce does that, he's good at it. But the play we were talking about was when Howard when to strip the ball and had all ball. But this was after Howard resorted to a flagrant. Howard created the situation where any small fouls or near fouls by Magic on Pierce would probably get called, and Pierce knew this so he took advantage of Howard's mistakes.
I must be confused because thats not what I was discussing. But since you brought that up... That call in particular was just the refs typically giving Dwight bad calls (i.e. screwing him over). The Refs have had it out for him all season. Dwight is partially to blame for this mistreatment. He bitches about the refs in the press. That obviously isn't going to give him the superstar treatment that the NBA refs gives their stars i.e. Lebron's blatant travels, Pierce's push offs, etc.
Well i am also waiting for a great season ahead expecting some fresh moves from them.
If you are referring to the Magic... there is not much we can do (small amount of money in cap, restictive contracts on Lewis, etc). I think their goal this offseason is to keep Barnes and resign JJ Redick. I have a feeling they will let J Will go and sign/draft a new backup point. I personally would like to see a change in the offense during the offseason i.e. the use of screens, penetration from the guards, power forwards playing downlow.

Amare with 29 points, 10 rebounds so far through 3. I think his agent told him he is playing for a max deal next year and not to pull a Joe Johnson.

Is it just me or do the Suns get fucked up the most during playoff games? You can usually count on someone bleeding during the course of a series.

The Lakers continue to have two major issues: defending the pick and roll, and playing against a zone defense. I don't know what it is about zones, but the Lakers go full retard every time.

Agreed. Lakers get owned in the zone-d. You have penetrate that shit and not take half-assed jumpers. I really thought the Lakers were going to win this one, especially with Kobe going ape shit in the first, but dang, they really f-ed it up in the fourth. Seemed like they were taking 3 point shots every damned possession. Oh well, I'm still sticking to my guns: Lakers in 5.

Well the Suns defensive strategy against Kobe is to let him get his points, but stop the other players. Of course, they haven't been doing that.

By the way, that Suns crowd put the Lakers fans to shame. fucking loooooud.

I'm just happy that it can be a series, another blowout would have sucked.

This shit slaps to be honest....

Mike Brown's out. Not really a surprise. Lebron or no, the team with the best record in the league was not prepared for that Boston series, and adjustments weren't made during it.

That has always been my biggest problem with Mike Brown. He could come up with great gameplans the day before, but mid-game adjustments were hit and miss (mostly miss). I always blamed him for the team's consistently bad third quarters.

It will be interesting to see what the Cavs look like next year since it most likely will see Lebron walk out the door and be left with Mo Williams as the star:lol:

I found it funny that our celebrity president Obama is campaigning for Lebron to go to Chicago.

And he always looked like he needed to take a big shit.
Where is that from? They look totally badass.
Celtics visit to the White House in '08.

Biedrins/Vlad Rad/#6 for Elton Brand and the #2.

Who says no?

Nobody.

Warriors are going to be 20 million under the cap for 2011. Small chance to sign a max free agent. They lose a good chunk of the cap if they trade for Brand.

Yep, Lewis and Brand are unmovable. Until maybe their last years on their current deals when teams want to pick up big expiring contracts to clear cap space.
Brand is not going anywhere. Neither is Rashard Lewis. They're way overpaid.
I'm still finding the occasional piece of my mind from when it exploded upon hearing about Lewis' contract. You overpay that badly for a guy and expect to win a championship?

Now you know why the NBA has lost almost 1.5 Billion in the last 5 years while every other sport is making money by the billions.

Lewis is owed 3 years 66 million after this year. NBA is filled with 1 stupid contract after another.

wow. looks like they took my advice. Lewis has been driving and going for boards. Nelson has been pentrating. Bass has received some playing time and has been down low going for boards. I think tonight is the first time this season I have seen 3 magic players crashing for boards. Now if only we can lock down our defense some more... we might be able to close out a win.

Tell that to Jamarcus Russell. The NFL knows how to hand out terrible contracts, too. They just know how to rake in the dough better in the first place.

So frustrating. If the Magic had shown up for more than the 4th quarters of game 1 and 2 this would be 2-2 or possibly 3-1 in their favor. :bomb:

Reminds me of the Finals last year. Lost 4-1, but had the two OT games they could have/should have won in regulation.

Celtics played like they should've been down 20, somehow they were still hanging around long enough to force OT. Just a sloppy game.

Orlando made their adjustments but where was this 3 games ago? Van Gundy started coaching like he was trying to save his job.

The possession at the end of the 4th quarter was mind boggling. 15 seconds left in a tie game with the ball and a timeout. Call the timeout! They didn't even get a shot out of that. What the fuck? They kept going to Pierce when he had nothing left.
Sorry, the Celtics aren't the 04 Yankees.
How did your Bruins do again? Didn't you go to a bunch of their games? Team should learn how to cheat like every other Boston team. Roid Sox with the needles and milkshakes before every game. Celtics gimmicking their old court to their advantage. Bellicheat videotaping the other teams and barely winning in the Super Bowl. Pretty pathetic that the Pats cheated all of the time and only won by 3 points in the 3 wins.

04 Yankees? Nice one. Last time I checked, Yankees lost to a team that had a Steroid cheat at every position in the lineup and several in the pitching rotation. Yankees only had a couple of cheats. Yankees Roiders were out numbered like 20-5 that year. Roid Sox cheated. It's ok, you can learn to accept the Asterisk. You can thank Man Ram and Big Fatti for tainting 04 and 07.

I agree. I wish he would have started coaching better after Game 1 loss. Finally saw penetration by our guards, players crashing boards, heck even saw some screens, he took off the leash for Nelson... We have to get better with holding the ball and our defense really needs to start stepping up (Ray Allen had way too many good looks especially down the stretch). We almost gave up the game in the second half. Hopefully we keep this same intensity for next game.

It was great to see the Magic finally play their style in this series. Here's dreaming to the near impossible. At least win the next one at home.
Bryant the one man team.
Lebron may have the best physical tools in the history of the game, but Kobe's just astounding to watch when he's determined to score.

He was holding off all of the Suns shooters! :bomb:
I don't have cable, but I've been Googling the score. Looks like the Suns are having a great second quarter.
Watch it on TNT's website. Their feed's pretty good.
