Rapists and the Fakers make it to another NBA Finals.


Lakers vs Celtics Part 100000000.. No wonder why the NBA has lost 1.5 billion in the last 5 years.

I doubt he ever will. I've seen D-Wade come closer to that type of dominance than LeBron.

As for Kobe's supporting cast... Overrated. The difference is that the Lakers are a much better constructed team than the Cavs, but at the end of the day its still all about Kobe.

To differentiate between Bryant and James, the Suns' Grant Hill, who has been charged with guarding both, turns to a baseball metaphor.

Over the last year, I though Lebron had passed Kobe as the best player. I'll admit it. These playoffs have proven me wrong. I said it awhile ago; Lebron has the best physical tools in the history of the game. However, his game is largely predicated on overpowering or jumping higher than defenders. It works almost all of the time, granted, but Kobe has a complete mastery of the game and is ruthless in implementing it. And to top it off, he has more left in the tank than I gave him credit for.

I called it. Lakers in 6.

The Lakers went back to regular season form and almost blew a big lead, but the Suns also put up a valiant effort. They're a very good team. Looking forward to the Lakers vs. Celtics rematch.

Kobe showed why he was the real MVP; Artest was awesome; and Odom kept snagging those rebounds like he always does.

Overrated... you must be delusional.
Pau - He averages a double double. Last game - 21 pts, 9 boards, 5 assists
Odom - He averages almost a double double. Last game - 17 pts, 13 boards
Artest - hands down one of the nba's elite defenders
Bynum - young and when healthy is one of the top centers in the league

It's not about construction as it is having amazing players.

Bynum is healthy for roughly the same amount of time that I have a 14 inch dick.

Kobe's cast has a wild card mentality. Fisher usually hits one big shot in a series and Farmer always seems to have some big shots. But sometimes they are a waste on the floor. Odom is their ultimate barometer if he is playing well they are the best team in the league

Phil Jackson uses his point guards as point guards (i.e. looking for the pass/assist first) unlike the rest of the league who turns them into shooting guards i.e. Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, etc; thus neither one are expected to really shoot. Fisher also is a fairly good defender.

Fisher can defend well as long as it is not someone with top end speed. Rondo will eat him alive. That is going to force him to defend Ray Allen and I'm interested to see how that will work out

Kobe on Rondo is going to be a bit stifling though, as thats the probable switch.

i think he and Artest will take turns on Pierce to wear him down. I hope he guards Rondo that may wear him down a bit and keep those offensive explosions down

Agreed, as long as they'll also not call the shitty offensive flops that many players do today as they know they're missing a shot trying to get to the rim. Might as well call them offensive flops or something like that.

The Suns don't piss me off at all, I'm extremely proud of our team for what they were able to accomplish this year.

They went from not making the playoffs to going 6 games in the WC Finals. I can't be mad about that.
 
Even as a Lakers fan, I can say I want to see this Suns team stick together for next year. They legitimately pushed the Lakers, and a year of development from Lopez and Dragic should make them even tougher. They're a good team, and they played hard. No shame in that.

Bynum is one of the most overrated players in the league. All hyped potential + height, no actual star talent and there never will be.

Kobe on the otherhand... One of the greatest of all time and damn near impossible to guard in the clutch.

I think it will come down to how healthy the Celtics get and stay through out the series. They got pretty banged up against Orlando. Most of the players (if not all) should be fine and ready to go game 1, but they can't afford to get banged up again to beat the Lakers.
 
The near week off will help both teams. I won't be surprised either way the series goes. I'll pick the Lakers just because Kobe looks damned determined right now.

Kobe is pissed off. The Celts made him take the walk of shame and he wants revenge. What i didn't know was that when he went in the locker room Ron Artest was there and wanted to help him win a championship. Now they have a chance to do that.

Perkins being 1 technical away from a suspension is a problem. I would expect the Lakers to try and goad him into a double technical. Hell, most of the time if you get in someones face after a whistle they call a double technical no matter who did what.

I'm a little nervous about Rondo's health but Nate proved he could spell Rondo and contribute. He gives their offense a different look, you can't play Nate like Rondo as the Magic did. I'm also a little concerned about how KG is holding up but this rest should help.

There are matchup problems for the Lakers here... You put Artest on Pierce, which is fine for the Lakers but "shutting down" Pierce might be a little strong. LeBron was a tougher matchup for Pierce. Maybe you put Kobe on Rondo and Fisher on Allen (not that I think Fisher can guard Ray Allen), but that means Kobe will really have to work in the defensive end.

But thats the least of their problems, KG is going to eat his man alive on both ends. I don't think Bynum will be much of a factor offensively against Perkins. I also think the Celtics bench is better, at the very least its deeper... Odom, Farmar, Brown, and Vujacic vs Sheed, Big Baby, Tony Allen, Nate, and maybe Daniels? Tony Allen guards Kobe better than anyone I've seen besides Raja Bell.

Ultimately the Lakers have to keep Rondo under control and the Celtics have to limit Kobe as much as they can. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
