2010-2011 NBA Season Thread

How sick would it be if Wade still went to Chicago, leaving Bosh alone in Miami. Hahaha. Theres a chance it could happen, but I see Wade staying home now.

Wade and Bosh are lesbian lovers and joint at the hip. I really think that Derrick Rose wanted no part of Wade or James going to Chicago.

Twitter brevity raises its dangerous head once again. There is no trade between Mia + Tor. Sorry for any confusion/raised blood pressure.

Sorry not a trade yet. Ric Bucher jumped the gun

Might want to change the title back...

lol ofcourse... figures

Just updated the thread. Ric Bucher jumped the gun.

It's funny because Chris Bosh Tweeted right after Bucher's trade proposal.

"today is a great day" . Go fucking figure.

Don't shoot the messenger. Guy who works for espn and is an NBA Insider post on Twitter a Trade and puts done deal on it. Chris Bosh tweets a couple of minutes later that Today is a Great Day. Then Bucher tweets not too long after that it was only a trade proposal. Bucher is now the biggest idiot in the world. Especially when he has 40'000 followers on Twitter who all got the update when he posted the trade proposal.
strange that beasly wasnt part of that proposal..
Nobody wants him? He is a head case? He is owed 3 years 20 million?

Chris Brousard is announcing that LeBron will make his decision live on ESPN at 9 p.m. on Thursday. It will be a 1 hour special.

Damn. I knew he was gonna milk it, but damn. I'm not surprised, but damn.

Is that EST?

Yeah 9 p.m. Eastern. It has been reported that he is donating all of the money to charity.

#-o

Of course he is. And I wonder how much ESPN is paying him for the privilege.

I love the reporting: "LeBron James will announce the team with which he will sign during a one-hour special on ESPN Thursday night, ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard has learned through independent sources."

Umm, you ARE ESPN. The source is that you offered him money to do this, he accepted it, and now you're reporting it. It's not a fucking "scoop."

Please: stay in Cleveland! That would practically guarantee Chris Bosh okaying a sign and trade to Houston.

That doesn't make it any less annoying or pretentious. An hour special to announce your free agency plan? fuck you, Lebron.
Damn. I knew he was gonna milk it, but damn. I'm not surprised, but damn.

I don't see how that's milking it. He could've drawn it out for weeks and his eventual destination would've been the talk of sports news for the entire time.

 Really Lebron. One hour Special huh? SMH! I don't wanna see him leave and destroy Cleveland's economy, But I wanna see how many true Cleveland Fans are left after he leaves  . To add that the irony of Listening to Power by Kanye West "No one man should have all that power!" and reading about this Lebron Special LOL!
I honestly cannot picture this big production and a 1 hour announcement to say Hey, I am staying in Cleveland.
But I also can't see it being an hour long explanation of why he is leaving Cleveland and choosing another city, etc.

It could just as easily be a feel good "This is my family, my home..." type thing, justifying his reasons for staying.

I hope he stays, for those fans and the city.
i can already see how the espn special is going to start:
"With the 1st pick in the 2010 Free Agency Draft, LeBron James selects the Cleveland Cavaliers.
So we're completely forgetting that Amare was the first one to make a pick, now are we? Technically Joe Johnson, but still, LeBron would be either second or third in the 2010 FA Draft.

well they technically havent signed. just agreed to terms, just like hedo agreed to terms with portland last year......
Calm down will ya. It's been reported that he is donating all of the money to Charity.
Earlier today I was thinking of how much money he could make by selling the rights to his announcement to one of the networks. I'd have kept every cent.

Ummmmm what?

Listen, you cant really rip a guy for doing charity for fucks sake. Most celeb would hold the conference and pocket the money so at the very least get the hell of your high horse and let the man donate money to help people. Some of you guys are too anti-famous sometimes.

I just dont get what is going to fill up the other 59 min of the show. 50% TV ads for sure but what are you going to do show 29 min of highlights?

Lebron: after much tought and consideration I have decided to sign with...

Kanye west jumps out of the audience: "lebron im really happy for you and im going to let you finish your speech and all but i just want to say that joe johnson got one of the best contracts ever! EVER!"
multiple sources reporting conference will be held in akron. LMAO!!! suck it new york, chicago, and miami
He lives in Akron. Thats not really a surprise. I mean, if I could host something from anywhere, I'd do it at home too.

And stop the double posting, Christ.

Suddenly it is clear to me. LeBron has changed. A new website. Starting Twitter. This announcement. This isn't the guy I know. less than 20 seconds ago via web

PDcavsinsider

The location of LeBron's announcement is not expected to be in one of the cities he's considering. Will keep the guessing going. 1 minute ago via web

Really, its all Hollywood sounding stuff. And we all know that New York is the new Hollywood.

you know this basically gurantees he stay right?
you know this basically gurantees he stay right?
Or if he does it in Akron it's his way of saying thank you and goodbye. Because if he choose a new team, he would have to do it at some point. It would be pretty lousy for him to do that second since it's his hometown.
If Lebron have a press conference in Akron saying he is leaving Akron, he wouldn't get out alive.
LBJ can't pay for security? Either way, you're saying that LBJ isn't man enough to face facts if he were to leave. You're saying that LBJ doesn't have the testicles to man up, face his hometown and announce that he's leaving for greener pastures.

He's doing the honorable thing by doing it, and if the hicks in Akron can't let him do what he has to do, they never cared for him anyway.
Someone's been to Akron. ;)
:D That is true.

I just watched "More than a Game" about his high school team... I really think he'll stay because his entourage is tolerated here but won't be anywhere else.

no im saying he is not going to torch his city and state on national tv for one hour talking about why he is leaving. you really think he is going to talk about why he choose to leave akron for an hour IN AKRON?

qig im from parma too.:)

And you really think he is going to talk for an hour about him staying in Cleveland? That is the most anti climatic scenario possible. The only people who would care would be a couple thousand from Ohio instead of millions from NY or Chicago.

James really wants to win, make money and be famous? he leaves .

You act as if he's going to waste the entire hour with what could be only a few words. Hell, I could do it in 7, "LeBron James is going to New York." He'll probably end up talking about how winning is all he ever does and how he's the greatest ever.

He's going to talk about all the different teams for the first 45 minutes, and then the next 10 is a huge buildup and the last 5 is him making the announcement and him getting on a plane/helicopter.

Sounds like disgruntled Cavs fans are coming with RPG's.

Last rumor for the night. LeBron has the Witness T Shirts. They have finally become available in Orange and were shipped to the Nike Store NY in the past day or two.

i gurantee that if he was leaving, he would have the anouncement in madison square garden... lebron loves to play to the crowd so he is going to have a huge audience set up with his family and freinds that all live in akron there......yea you guys are right he will prolly anounce he is leaving akron there /sarcasm.

He already has money and is famous - otherwise he wouldn't be doing a prime-time ESPN special to announce something that only takes five minutes.

For whatever it's worth, the whole reason the announcement is in Akron is because his skills camp at the UofA ends Wednesday night and he'll be there for the duration of the camp.

Thanks JJSP, you saved me some time. Again, its his HOME. He has a house there. Why would he do it anywhere else? And to play to a crowd? He's going to have millions watching ESPN, so theres his crowd. Why would he do it at home, WWE? Tell me why you shower at home? Tell me why you sleep at home? Because its far far easier than doing it anywhere else.
