2010-2011 NBA Season Thread
Lakeshow need to trade the bust that is Bynum and the lifetime under achiever Odom. Its easy to see now how far Kobe is carrying these guys.

Both of them are fucking bums.
Gasol has completely disappeared. What you are witnessing is how much Gasol means to the Lakers. He's gone from being one of the three most efficient players in basketball to being slightly above average.

You know what I love about the Laker getting swept like this? It embarrasses all of the stupid ass ESPN talking heads. When everyone in the world were proclaiming that the emperor had no clothes on the ESPN talking heads were just fine and dandy in spounting, "Their fine their fine. People who believe they are not are just dumb fans....I work for ESPN I am so much smarter than you."

It just once again proves that those guys just go with the easy answer and they have no real insight above normal fans. All the millions of dollars and unlimited resources of ESPN and their word is about has good as Joe Six Pack.

Now we get to listen to them retract all their statements and spin it like they knew this was coming.

LA gets demolished and yet ESPN spends all their coverage talking about the Lakers. It isn't like Dallas is some small market either, so focusing on demographics should go out the window.

Props goes to Dallas for finally taking a big lead and expanding on it in the second half. They have not done that in forever and losing leads has been their calling card all year. The bench was terrific and getting rest for Kidd is going to be great if he has to guard someone like Westbrook in the next series.

Well it kinda is a coaches last hurrah i would want the coverage to be about him to cant blame them. With that being said looks like the east will win a title this year easily.

I guess it would be nice to see Kidd get a ring god knows he deserves it. All those years of making the playoffs and taking the Nets all the way for nothing.

Chandler's a decent center far better then Dampier was/is but the mavs could get someone else to put there as well as replacing Stevenson. Honestly I'm surprised Marion did this well. I wonder when Butler comes back if he could take that starting spot.

And moving on, Celtics played great last night. Shaq did little on his return

I lost all respect for Bynum after that elbow shot to Barea. I was always somewhat a fan of his and would defend him when my friends would talk shit about him. The Lakers need to get rid of that injury prone loser while he still has some trade value.

I wouldn't mind seeing the imprint of a championship ring pounded into that wifebeater's forehead.

this. fuck j kidd thatll be the closest to a ring he'll ever get.
Man Bynum deserved the ejection but I think odom just deserved a flagrant
Odom and Nowitzki were into it at the line on the other end. If they weren't it probably would have just been a technical.

They also were making sure that they were tough on stuff like that because things were starting to get chippy.

lakers being embarrassed like they did, I'm ready to call this a good playoffs

Bynum should serve a suspension for that shit he pulled

lets go mavs!!!:applause:. only two teams left that can beat them are Heat or Celtics. hopefully they will draw the hawks or bulls in the finals, but I expect the Heat to come out of the east (even though I hate em).

They have to win the West first, I don't think the Grizz or Thunder are slouches by any stretch. Overall, I think any of the teams could win the championship at this point.

I want to see Dirk torch Bosh for 40 every game of the finals. Initially I was thinking that Miami would beat the Mavs in the finals if they met, but now that I think of it the Mavs front court would kill Miami's front court.

Mavs front court
Dirk
Tyson Chandler
Haywood
Marion

Heat front court
Bosh
Joel Anthony
Zydrunas
Damp

most lol worthy explanation ever

If the Bulls are going to win the title, Boozer needs to perform. Guy has blowed ass in the playoffs. It's really disappointing.

Well for one both teams would never run those front courts against each other at all (which im pretty sure you didnt mean literally but had to state that just in case you were serious). You got 3 starters for the mavs vs 2 for the heat if this would be bench vs bench clearly mavs would own.

Marion would most likely be matched up against Lebron and i hope you wouldnt want me to explain the obvious advantage.

Dirk would own Bosh probably, but dont think Bosh despite what people say will pull a Gasol and not take advantage of his match up against Dirk as well.

Haywood=lol pretty much is a walking dampier jr so thats a wash on both ends

At least Big Z can hit a mid range 10-15 foot shot if left open good luck trying to get chandler or haywood to take advantage of the openings

But Chandler will probably be better on the floor than miamis big men with all his illegal screens that would make Garnett look like a saint not to mention all the obvious over the back loose ball fouls that never get called that not even KG would do.

Rose is taking 24 shots a game. He's the point guard, it's his responsibility to run the offense. If the Bulls want Boozer to step up offensively, it's Rose's job to get Boozer the ball. Boozer is taking 10 shots a game in the postseason; he took 16.5 per game in his postseason career before this year.
Why the Spurs?
I'm a Suns fan. ;)
people always hate proven winners
I do usually root for the underdog, but Suns/Spurs have history.

And as much as I would love to say something disparaging about Bynum, I have no room to talk since I remember when Raja clotheslined Kobe.

Yea i understand that, dont get me started on that botched ref job that pretty much prevented phoenix from a finals run in 07 that could have resulted in a championship seeing as how they were facing a weak cavs team

I'm just happy the Lakers were humiliated. Too bad their fans are still drinking the kool aid. CP3 and Dwight Howard to LA? Not a chance.

Yeah, I love how all of a sudden LA is the new destination spot. LA has like 8 guys under contract how the hell are you magically forking over enough dough for D12-CP3-Derek Williams etc etc.

No money, no play time, no coach, just got embarrassed in the play offs, 2 completely under achieving players in Odom and Bynum, the ego that is Kobe, virtually no bench players worth a damn.

Yea....I am sure agents phones are ringing off the hook with players trying to get to LA.

Well, the Lakers could get some big name guys in trades as that would get rid of some big contracts like Odom and Bynum.

I don't see CP3 going there. Howard I could see--unfortunately as a Magic fan.

If he demands a trade (or simply indicates he won't resign after next year), then they should move him and not get stuck with him leaving and getting nothing in return like they did with Shaq back in the late 90s.

There's really no equal value at center for him, so if they have to move him they could do worse than getting say Bynum and Odom and hopefully also being able to ditch Arenas and/or Turkoglu and their huge contracts as part of the deal.

That said, hopefully Dwight is loyal and decides to stay in Orlando. He's getting a lot of endorsement deals and exposure anyway, and the owners have shown no hesitation in spending big money (2nd highest pay roll in the league)--they've just made some poor contract decisions.
Whats the word on Van Gundy coming back?
All signs point to his being back.

Only comment I've seen is that the GM said he and Arenas have to improve their relationship.

Lakers are in salary cap hell and they're eliminated. :applause:

It sounds horrible but we were only watching this year's playoffs to boo Kobe. I am no longer watching the playoffs.

I am interested though in what offense LA decides to run next year. Kobe honestly looked lost when Rudy T. coached them a few years back. The triangle suits him best but it's also an offense that every PG hates to run. Chris Paul will not be in a hurry to run the triangle.

CP3 won't go to a team that runs the triangle. The triangle killed Kidd's first tenure in Dallas and other PG's of a high caliber will not go to a team that runs that offense.

Even though the Heat won this game and if they win the series I still dont seem going anywhere in the next round or winning the championship

rotf refs making sure nba's golden team isnt gonna fall in a 3-1 hole how is perkins not ejected yet for not 1 but 2 shots to the face of gasol?
