2010-2011 NBA Season Thread
lol barea is garbage

This has been known for awhile now soodmeg its just that noone wants to admit it and they would rather focus on the calls durant bron wade celtics etc get
Keep talking shit, Troll.

Game 2 will be big. Dallas played pretty poorly and still had a chance with 4 or 5 minutes left.

Dirk has to go nuts this series for them to win though as he basically has to out clutch Wade and LeBron in 4th quarters if they're going to win. Which will be tough as even if those two aren't hitting shots they both play tough as hell on D and create shots for others.

Dmaul hit it on the head. I think the biggest think is the Heat have developed their clutch gene. They have been killing people in the 2nd half of the game and even more so in the 4th.

Man, 1 down 3 wins to go. I would love for the Heat to win just to piss off Stern and the rest of the country. I was never a fan of the Heat until they became everyones punching bag now I am rooting for them just for to lols.

Anybody could look like a star against the defense La played ( washed up Peja dropping 15 in 1 game 21 in another anyone? If the league actually followed up on the fine for flopping then Barea would be broke most likely working a 2nd job at one of these local fiestas or metro pcs to make ends meet.

That being said game 2 is a must win for Dallas, if not then its pretty much over seeing as its hard to take the 3 middle home games in a row and miami is just as good if not better on the road than Dallas is.

heh i rarely post here but Terry really shit the bed tonight, that LeBron on Terry move by Spo was huge

haha at some of the Mavs getting mauled and no foul calls and Haslem getting brushed in the back by Dirk and that 0_o over the back foul.

Peja made me :(

Wonder if people would want C butler back if it means Dirk gets less touches

I hope espn doesnt make a big deal about this dirk injury ...sigh too late

Wow. Was talking NBA with my boss at work earlier and we got to talking about how he went to Miami and saw a few games with Shaq and D Wade. Started talking about how Shaq was one of my favorite players and I loved his personality and how he had fun both on and off the court. Came home and my dad said "You hear Shaq retired today?" Wasn't expecting that. Actually caught proably his last good game when Boston played Charlotte earlier this year and he dropped like 25 points. Shaq's been playing in the league since I was born and I've always been a huge fan, sad to see that era come to a close.

Wow want to talk about shitty calls? The heat not taking a single free throw for 20 min while Dallas has 15 or so attempts. Then a really shitty call on Bron followed by a no call when T-Chan runs into wade on a open court foul.

Also a Tech on Miller after JJ jumps on him for the loose ball?

If I am Dallas I am scared to death that the Heat are playing really shitty yet are still only down by 8.

Where the hell is Peja? Man I think he just got the record for coming up the softest in a finals series.

Right now he is a 6ft 10 ghost.

fucking karma. Miami should have put their four on Dallas' throat. now we got a series baby. Oh and props to Marion jet and dirk for clutching up.
we'll see if mavs fans blame refs if they go down 2-0
guess they won't have to.

fantastic finish tonight. Makes the series watchable again.

Really shocked that Miami out of all teams would ever allow themselves to give a game away like that after all of the series they just had. Foul to give and you dont bother even using it? single covering dirk? Lebron reverting back to Cavalier Lebron with no ball movement taking bad shots like his name was LeBrussel Jamesbrook. Haslem getting a rebound and not draining more clock, even though he was fouled and nothing called. Lets see how miami handles game 3 considering they are a very good road team not to mention having 3 homes means jack shit after seeing the previous finals.

The heat gifted the mavs a win. For the last 6 minutes all they took were 3-point shots. Bad 3-point shots. Also, Dirk should have been guarded by Lebron... don't know why they had Bosh ALONE with Dirk; Bosh covered Dirk earlier in the game and also got beat... Bosh can't cover Dirk, and then on top of that he was left alone on a island with Dirk. last play of the game, needs to be Best player vs Best player.

Lol, are you really complaining about a foul? Miami can pretty much get away with murder on the court before the refs blow the whistle.

Also I knew after Wade drained that 3 to put the Heat up by 15 that they weren't going to hit another basket, Wade was standing in front of the mavs bench like he just won the fucking NBA championship....pretty sure that fired up the mavs.

Oh yeah and great game by the Mavs, they played some great defense to end the game and deserved the win, but it's going to be hard to win a series against the heat AND the officials.

I find it ironic that heat fans are complaining about the refs.

Then again, what fan doesn't complain about the refs when their team loses. :D

Glad the Mavs pulled it out, I'm not even a fan but I am just sick of all the taunting bullshit coming from Lebron and Wade.

Meanwhile Dirk is calm and collective with ice in his veins...

I don't like the Heat to lose any game, but losing this game at home is going to make them come out even stronger when they go to Dallas.

I can't believe I went to sleep after Wade hit that 3. I was shocked when I woke up this morning and I'm pissed I missed it. The games need to start at 8PM EST though. 9 is just way too late.

I still think the heat are winning this. As much as I would love to believe that Dallas will really contend it was pretty clear that the Heat with a BIG finger pointed at Spoelstra (I dont care enough to spell it right) gave the game away more than Dallas won it.

Spoelstra, tell fucking Bron its Wades team not his..there is NO excuse that the last 8 possessions of the game are Bron running down the shot clock and then firing a 3 ball! You only needed to score 2 or 3 baskets at the most to win the game this isnt Cleveland you have about 4 people on the court that can make a shot at any given time.

That being said...in order to win a title you have to defend home court, steal a game you have no business winning and have role players come up big.

Stolen Game? Check
Shawn Marion becoming a offensive guru? Check.
Defend Home court? TBA

Spoelstra (you spelled it correctly) would do well in continuing to tell LeBron that it is his team. Assuming he has, that is.

LeBron has the better TS%, 3PT%, lower TO rate, higher assist rate, and as such, is more efficient.

The gap widens when you look at the last couple seasons in addition to this season and postseason.

Wade's awesome, but LeBron he isn't. That said, the end of game 2 could have gone better.

I feel quite the opposite I think that last second win by the Mavs maybe the spark they needed to win this series. I do agree that Miami is still Wades team.
Lets see if anyone can spot the irony with Dirks game winner.

Hint: It has to do with the seconds left after he hit it
if anyone didnt know this the time was 3.61 seconds all jersey numbers for the big 3 LOL

IT'S THE ONLY ARGUMENT I NEED!

Game 3 is currently showing that Wade is the Batman of the Heat, James is Robin.

Bosh is Aunt Harriet.

Honestly surprised Mavs fans haven't come in here to bitch about losing the game due to BS calls. Good game on both sides, but Miami pulls it off. I swear if they would have blown another 15 point lead to lose another game I would have thrown my remote through the tv (though they almost did blow it). My tv thanks you Miami.

Who cares? I don't think Lebron does. He just wants a ring.
Who cares? I don't think Lebron does. He just wants a ring.
I don't think he cares either. He knows he's not The Man. He needed to join a Man to win.

Miami without Lebron: 47-35
Cavs with Lebron: 61-21
Who needed who...

If you do your research, you would know that Lebron leads the team in most ratings including WS, ORtg, PER, etc.

I still don't understand why people still are butthurt on Lebron being in Miami
series should be 3-0 Heat. That last game (game 2) was a gift to the Mavs.
Or it should be 3-0 Dallas. I mean, you could argue that the Heat played like shit in Game 1 and Dallas blew a big chance to win that one and then last night's game was completely winnable for Dallas again. Unless it is a total blowout, each game turns on a few plays - make a basket here, get a stop there and the outcome is completely different. The difference between winning and losing is almost negligible.

Wade's been the MVP for Miami just because his scoring and percentage is so great so far BUT Lebron is unlike Kobe or Wade where scoring isn't the way to measure his output. The guy obviously does everything extremely well. We're thinking about him with the Shooting Guard mentality when we should look at him as a Magic or a Bird instead. But we've all heard this 1000000x so i'm not saying anything new.

To me Lebron will always be Grant Hill + Magic + Human Growth Hormone. LOL. If his last games coming up are all double-doubles he has to at least be in the conversation for MVP.

(This is assuming Miami pulls it off)
