No. They don't work online. They never will.

And this deal usually comes up very often. It's terrible, though, considering their DVD selection is VERY limited and you're never guaranteed to get the case or manual for games or even if the games will work.

Hoped this was a coupon, then I would've picked up Ikaruga for what it SHOULD be priced at. Come on guys, it's been out four years already.

I think you can return it to a local EBGames or GameStop if it doesn't come complete though, still is kind of a hassle. And yah this deal does come up with some frequency... but the whole no coupon stacking thing basicly killed online deals from the EBStop.

Yeah, you could return it to the store, but you also have to have the hassle of driving to the store, putting up with someone who might not know what they're doing or with a manager that doesn't want to do it and what not.

I've heard enough horror stories of managers refusing to take in busted games that were sent via the site to send back. The fact that there's no guarantee the games will work is a big enough deal breaker as is.

Yeah, how I miss the glory days of being able to use CAG15, SAVER, and the Edge card for some awesome deals. I haven't bought a single thing from Ebgames.com since they stopped doing that.

This deal is pretty much perpetually active even when it's not posted on the home page - the code AFF25 always gives you 25% off used stock.

EB and Gamestop is the devil. There prices are so ridiculous . Used Ikaruga is like 39.99. I wish they would just go out of business.
.......that MvC2 was $59.99 when I posted in that thread. GS sure lives loves raising and lowering the price to that game.
Well, it also just went BC with the July update, so of course that gives EBstop more of a reason to jack the price up.

i feel like i should use this... but i have no idea what to get. someone usually posts a cool list around this time in the thread

*waits patiently*
Too bad this isn't for b&m, also.
... yeah, unlike what the title implies. I got all excited for a second because I was on my way there.

thanks for the post man i fiinally went and bought a used copy of star wars bounty hunter for the ps2 and a couple other choice titles ive been wanting for my collection. ive been wanting to beat that game since i rented it 3 or 4 years back.

every game i thought about getting seems mysteriously higher priced then when i checked it out 4-5 months ago
I concur, it's dead Jim. (said invalid code when I tried to use it on in stock used games)
Forget their stopwatch sale code.
AFF25.
Not dead. Really.

wow, the hairs people will split in the name of being "correct" - At any rate, I'm just happy to get a code that works for 25% off; and for that I thank you - I couldn't find one through a web search that would work (and the originally posted one no longer worked).

This is what I've learned in my CAG training today; just because a post gives you specific instructions on how to get a discount and it doesn't work, don't you dare call it dead.

Pray tell, when is the correct time to call a thread, with detailed deal instructions that no longer work as advertised, "dead"? I'm one of those weird people who will usually only be aware of the information posted within the thread I'm currently reading and I would hate to embarrass myself (again apparently) in future posts.

Same here, noticed they've raised the prices on a few games.

I wouldn't sweat it. I wasn't trying to split hairs at all, just trying to make sure that fellow CAG-ers could still get a "deal"*. I'm not one for semantics though, so you might have to get a response from someone more nit-picky for your "dead" definition.

*Edited because I remembered I was writing aboout GS/EB, so "deal" needs quotation marks for a little sarcasm to drip through.

I agree with others here; is there any chance the OP can edit the title? Maybe add "Online Only" or something? Some of us avoid ordering from the GS/EB websites like the plague.
