San Andreas was really bad. This is one Roger Ebert would've savaged and maybe given 1 or 1.5 stars. It was stupid, cliched, soap-operay, and the special effects started looking really fake as they got more complex. The writing was really on the level of a bad 1970s disaster flick. The worst movie I've seen this year. However, the only reason I went to see it is because I thought, being an earthquake movie, it would be a good DBox movie, and the DBox effects were indeed fantastic. Without that, it would've been quite an unbearable cheesefest to suffer through. The 3D was mostly not special or interesting.

Ended up grabbing Godzilla. I know some folks said that the 3D wasn't great on this but can't beat $12.99 and won't have to worry about it on Black Friday

Definitely YMMV, but my local Family Video had How to Train Your Dragon 2 3D (Single 3D disc in combo case) for $2.99/2for$5, TMNT 3D (same as the rest) for $5 and Mad Max 3D (Single 3D disc in combo case) for $7.99.  Being 3D only isn't a huge deal for me since my TV does 3D->2D if I'm not in a 3D-viewing mood.

FYI there are two versions of San Andreas 3D for sale at Best Buy.  The one out currently (full price) and one that has a release date listed in their system as 11/24 but looks exactly the same (that one is on sale).  I tried to price match the older one to the sale one on the website since the covers are the same but it was a no go because of the release date.

Damn, these are some good deals.  Particularly Exodus.

Wish I'd held off on 300 until now though lol.

I have a question about the Sin City 2 pack listed here:  http://www.amazon.com/City-2-Pack-Blu-ray-Bruce-Willis/dp/B00USBLW6M/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1448379223&sr=8-3&keywords=Sin+City+3D

Does this include separate cases for both movies, or is it one case with everything included?  I can't find the answer anywhere online.  I bought Sin City at Black Friday last year and am curious enough about the 2nd to buy this, but I'm hoping I can pawn off the 1st one as a gift to a friend I know isn't going to buy me a gift anyways.  But I can't really do that if it isn't going to come in it's own case.

I suppose I could give him the one I got last year but I think it's too tacky to give him an open movie with a redeemed UV code.  Even I'm not that cheap lol.

I assume it's the same pack I've seen in stores before, which is separate cases for each movie, and that double pack image is a cardboard slipcover that goes over both cases.

That's what I was hoping, but I can't find any unboxing or verification anywhere.

Thanks.

Why not save yourself the trouble and simply get Sin City 2 for $5 at Target?
Because my Target has never carried a 3D movie in-store and they don't have it online, and because the closest Target isn't all that close.

At Walmart a bunch of 3D movies are on sale for 6.96 and 9.99.
They are the movies that are on sale regular let in the ad on blu ray but it includes the 3D version as well. Prices already live.
Movies included mad max 3D for $10.
300 rise of empire=7
Edge of tomorrow 3D= $7
Just look for all 3D movies and try to scan them.everything I saw was on sale except Jurassic world and pixels

I was able to pick up -

Transformers Age of Extinction 3D - $8.99 at Fry's
Mad Max Fury Road 3D - $9.96 at Walmart
300 Rise of an Empire - $6.96 at Walmart

I already own steelbooks for Transformers and Mad Max so I am just keeping the 3D discs and selling of the leftovers. I saw 300 Rise of an Empire in theaters, which I liked but didn't really plan on owning but couldn't pass it up for $7.
Walmart was a mad house but organized as far as letting in only about 20-30 people at a time in the designated movie pallet area. Didn't see any of the 3D titles people were reporting in that area but went to the regular movie section, where no one was really hanging out, and grabbed the movies I wanted which were in the regular plastic cases. Was thinking I would have issues since they didn't have promo stickers on them but they rang up at the sale price.

This is an awesome sale on 3d blus and better than many of the advertised sales. I scanned most of the 3d blus at my Walmart and was able to find the following on sale.

Godzilla- 6.96

300 ROE 6.96

Hobbit Smaug- 6.96

Hobbit Battle of 5 armies- 9.96

Jupiter Ascending- 6.96

San Andreas 9.96

Edge of Tomorrow- 6.96

Mad Max- 9.96

Insurgent- 9.96

Gravity 6.96

These prices do not seem to be active online. They are also not in any of the advertised Black Friday movie pallets. None of these are marked or advertised as being on sale but they should ring up at those sale prices in store. There may be others as well. Anyone find anything else?

Bkool you are the man! Best Black Friday deal yet. I felt like it was stealing.

Mad max - 10
Hobbit 2 - 7
Hobbit 3 -10
Man of steel - 7
300 ROE - 7
Jupiter ascending - 7
Edge of tomorrow - 7
Gravity - 7

Got Spider-Man 2 for 6.96 as well. Also don't forget to scan your receipt in the Walmart app. It will unlock digital versions of eligible movies on vudu. I know it works on mad max, Jupiter ascending, edge of tomorrow and spidey 2.

I went to 2 walmarts and each one had a separate section with all the 3D movies together. Only a few 3D movies were mixed in with the regular blu Rays and the ones that were, were duplicates of the other 3D movies. Hope that helps

Are the 3D movies together in a bargain shipper you mean? Or are they in regular aisles? I didn't see those in regular aisle at all. No separate spot just for them only, either.

I may give up. Only 3 and half hours left, until the deal is over. Or are the prices good until tomorrow?

There was a small 3D section in electronics but the newer releases (Mad Max and Divergent) were mixed in on the isle with new releases.

Went back to Walmart this morning and picked up Godzilla (returning the one I bought for $12.99 at Best Buy) Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and Amazing Spiderman 2

Walmart movie sales are still running?

I'm seeing a few of them listed as being in stock at the store closest to me when they weren't yesterday.

Grabbed Mad Max, Gravity, and Spiderman 2. They had quite a few others as well.

Going to try and hit one more store to grab Edge of Tomorrow.

Quite a deal.

Thanks all.

How do you check the in stock thing? All I see on my Mad Max 3D page is "See Dates in CheckOut" and Available Mon, Dec 14

Does that mean none of the stores near me have this in the store?

Thanks for the tip! Scanning random stuff, I also found the regular Hobbit: BotFA extended blu Ray for $9.96 at wal-mart. They never carried the 3D version.
