What's the best deal for Star Wars: Rogue One 3D?  I am not too worried about Steelbook covers or Target exclusives though I won't argue with them if it is the best deal.

The Best Buy steelbook is $24.99 but may start to become a little hard to find (most stores in my area appear to be sold out or have under 3 in stock). Not sure the Target price but I think it may be a little bit more.

The Target edition is $27.99 and may be easier to find than the BB steelbook at this point but check brickseek beforehand to get an idea
Note - the BB and Target exclusives are the only way to get 3D here in the states

Target also has a $10/$50 sale on Star Wars stuff. Not sure what happens if you buy 2 copies to get the discount and return one (i.e. If it will just take $5 off each).

It's not "rare". When the home video announcement was made it was announced that only the Target and BB exclusives had 3D.
Looks like BB steels in my area are sold out (no surprise) but Target is still available in store and online.

Looks like all the Best Buys near me are also sold out of the Rogue One 3D steelbook.

Any recommendation for 3D movies from Best Buy's sale?
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and especially X-Men Days of Future Past are steals at that price. They're summer action movies with a brain: entertaining, but also make you think. Life of Pi is also an excellent 3-D showcase, and a reminder that sometimes Ang Lee's pretentiousness pays off (it earned him a Best Director Actor). Book of Life is an unusual animated film based around Mexican traditions that both kids and adults will like, and if you're a fan of the X-Men films, you can't go wrong with The Wolverine. However, unlike Days, which anyone will enjoy, those who are not fans of past X-Men films will not find as much to like there.

I noticed Fantastic Beasts, releasing Tuesday, does not have a home 3-D release. Hope this is not the start of a disappointing trend.
Fantastic Beasts came out a few weeks ago with 3D version available. Not sure where you are getting your info.

Shows available for shipping, but when you add to cart and go to check out, it's not.  :/

Star Wars: Rogue One 3D is rare, only bestbuy and target carried the 3d version.......
If the Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy taught anything, its that BB 3-D steelbooks sell out fast. If you don't go the day it comes out, you might not get it. Fortunately, they've improved their stock since the Thor/Guardians days, when each sold out shortly after stores opened (and began selling on Ebay for three times the original price). I couldn't get to BB for Rogue One until after work, which was less than three hours until closing time, yet I was able to get one for myself and one for a friend, and there were still quite a few left. 24 hours later I'm sure that would not have been the case.

Rogue One doesn't even have a non steelbook 3D version, so it got a larger shipment than other titles.

I was referring to best buy, which only carried one version and thats the 3D steelbook.  Other marvel movies got 3D steelbook and regular 3D

I'm always amazed how people don't pre-order these the instant they become available, if nothing else as a backup to an in-store order.

BB is usually on the mark on fulfilling pre-orders for these items and getting them right, save any surprises that happen with packaging or shipment.

For Target, they seem to have worked past their past issues with online orders not always getting the steelbook version when they share a DPCI # in-store.

Weekly BB ad shows Underworld Blood Wars SB @ $27.99.  It also shows the other SBs for Underworld at $9.99, though they're not updated on the website yet.  Maybe on Tuesday, for some odd reason?

There's also a link from the weekly ad to pre-order the other BB SBs:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/preorder-steelbooks-042317

Resident Evil Final Chapter and Fifty Shades Darker aren't available for shipping, though they are for in-store pickup.     The Kong Skull Island listed at the above link isn't the SB, it's the non-SB 4K release.

So, no 3D version of Blood Wars for the US? Since it is Sony, the thought was that the 4K version might include 3D like their other recent releases ... but that does not appear to be the case.

I recently got an LG OLED 4K 3D TV, and yesterday i finally tried the 3D with Doctor Strange...

Holy shit!!! One of THE best 3D experiences I've had to date. So happy with my purchase, and sad that 3D doesn't seem to be sticking around.

I wish the TV companies hadn't given up—3D looks amazing on that tv! Makes me want to buy a spare backup once the price drops some more.

Yeah I was really annoyed it wasn't included in the 4k set like most other Sony releases. Now it's another 3d I have to import.

Is there a way to redeem UV codes from another country? I picked up kung fu panda 3 and can't redeem them in US but if I change to England it'll go to the next step but then it'll stop me when I select a platform.

Any thoughts on Ghost in the Shell 3d bluray? I haven't bought a 3d movie in a while and didn't bother to see it in the theaters but feel like it ...could be good?

Use a VPN or proxy for that country. As long as there's some service in that country that you can link into your UV account you will likely be able to redeem there and then watch with Vudu or something in the US.

Looks like only the non-3-D versions of Beauty and the Beast (2017) are being offered in ads. Hopefully overseas can rescue us from this lameness.

I saw it in 2D, I think it will look fantastic in 3D. Movie quality wise, it was weird. It was like they took scenes from the original and remixed them to tell a different story. If you go in expecting a different story, you might like it. If you are expecting the same story as the original, you will be disappointed.

Thanks. My anime days are long behind me and I don't remember the original at all. It will be freah for me going into it now so that seems for the best. Just visually it looks awesome so I am eager.

Didn't know we had this thread...wish I would have known a long time ago. I need to venture past just looking at the video game deals.

Anyway, I own probably about 30-40 3D BLU's. Sad to see it looks like it's slowly on it's way out, but there are still some cool things to see. I recently bought an old Sci-Fi film called "APE" from Kino video, it's an old B-grade film from the 70's that was shown in 3D originally in the theaters. 3D is good, but otherwise it's what you would expect from low budget Sci-Fi. I think Kino has remastered a few of these old drive-in type movies and have released others.
