So I checked my order status just now and it says it was delayed and my order would be cancelled if they couldn't ship it by the 20th.  Luckily, it looks like it's available for store pickup so I got one to pick up later today.

Go, go, go!

The Best Buy 4K/3D version is now listed as available for store pickup-only at all the stores around me--if you want this, I would place an order immediately, before the stores open.

I also placed an order for it this morning!  I can't believe I paid almost $40 for a 3D Blu-ray, but I guess that's what it's going to take to support an almost dead format!

Same here, and I don't even have a 3D TV. 🤐

Too bad the 3D SB didn't get a price drop like the regular one. The store I went to at noon ran out of the regular SB but still had 6 3D ones. Not surprising, especially given the price difference.

Umm you guys aren't looking at the value in this a it's a Disney/marvel steelbook that comes with 4K, 3d, blu and dc. Its a fantastic deal for all of that. If you're looking to offset some of your cost sell off the 4K disc or dc/dmr points.
You also have to consider marvel/Disney movies don't go on sale that often. Catalog 3d titles are $35 - $40 msrp and those don't have steelbook for 4K discs.

Not really complaining, as I consciously made the decision to purchase the 3D version despite not having a 3D TV (and probably never will considering it's close to dead in the consumer market) nor a 4K TV/player yet. But there's still no denying that ~$40 is a lot to pay for a single movie, even if it comes with all that extra stuff.

So I want to order some 3d blu rays and 4k from UK. They are preorders so amazon region I don't think can be right. Its more likely to be region free right?

Anyone need a 4K/3D GotG2 steelbook?  They ended up shipping mine out and I also got the one for store pickup.  Cost + shipping?

Mine ended up shipping Tuesday and getting here Wednesday morning. Had 2 heavy spine slashes though. My last two steelbooks have both been damaged. Bringing my total damaged steelbooks to like 4 now.

I should get rid of my GOTG2 3d blu ray from the 4k steelbook set. Do you guys usually sell them on ebay? Looks like they go for 12-15 bucks.

Are you on br.com? You might have a good chance of bringing in more.

Also, someone mentioned on their that Wonder Woman 3d is $21.50 shipped at Walmart.

Yes, bought and sold on there a few times and that place has more cheapasses than this in my experience.

Thanks man, bought it earlier.

Also Force Awakens 3D is $23 at Best Buy yesterday. Cheapest I've seen it for.

Force Awakens 3d is $22.99 on (shipped and sold by)Amazon. I am tempted but remember the 3d in theaters being very poor but it was an imax and maybe just got lost in that format.

It isn't poor - while it isn't as integral to the experience as it is for Avatar or Gravity, it is definitely preferable.

Wonder Woman, on the other hand, isn't that great of a 3-D movie. Most of the movie consists of talking scenes, often with low lighting, Even sections that should be awesome, such as when she fought the Germans, were a disappointment. The final confrontation was awesome, but only lasted maybe 10 minutes. I'd recommend going 4K so you can see Gal Godot and the other beauties in the best clarity possible.

Surprised that no one has mentioned it yet but Zaavi and Amazon are having their B1G1 (essentially when you factor in US conversion rate) Disney 3D sale. The only Disney 3D I need is live action Beauty and the Beast though, have everything else, Unless by some miracle they add Pirates 5 when it comes out next week,

Got Beauty and the Beast and Jungle Book for $27.24. Not bad.

Cars 3 has a release date (11/7/17), but like Pirates unfortunate release, no 3-D version is listed, just the crappy 2-D. Looks like Pixar, which managed to resist the idiotic aversion to 3-D, has joined the armies of the stupid. A real shame, especially with Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 on the horizon.

Disney probably hasn't had good sales on their 3D stuff. Honestly their animation at Pixar is so good that they don't need 3d

2D is just fine. 3D is a gimmick anyway, albeit a fun gimmick that I enjoy a lot too. I have a ton of 3D Blu-rays. But to call 2D crappy is just odd. The vast majority of movies exist in 2D only.

And face it, 3D never became mainstream, and no 3D TV sets were even made this year. It's not going to be too long before nothing gets released on 3D Blu-ray at all. It sucks, but you can hardly blame the studios for it. If 3D was a big money maker, they'd still be all over it.

At least it still appears to be getting a 3D release abroad, so can still import. Unlike Pete’s Dragon, Trolls & Captain Underpants which weren’t released on 3D BD anywhere.
