Yesterday I got five Badge Arcade plays. Today, thanks mainly to Lakitu getting stuck, I didn't even get one.
Launcher badges in the practice catcher can be pretty difficult.

There are a variety of things that you can accomplish without spending plays in some of the current machines. Fugo in the Fire Emblem machine with the wheels seems pretty easy. You can also get the arrow to fall out of another Fire Emblem machine.

One of the Super Mario Bros machines has a red Cheep Cheep that can fall. If you swap between the two Blooper machines, then the scrunched up Blooper and a block can fall. If you keep at it then the right blocks in the other machine tip and the left coins either also tip or get loosened enough to be wiggled over with some more work. When the coins go, there is a chance that they will also take Mario. The blocks that tipped get caught, but can be shaken free if you want two more.

The same games get put on sale every other week. Eterian Odyssey has literally probably been on sale over 20 times within the past year. Hardly a sale. Just make these the permanent prices.

On the, "Ermahgerd it's more money" front:

Badge arcade added about 9 new Poke groups including Mega's to celebrate the 20 anny.  A couple were damned tricky (stupid hammer and bombs).  You also get a free play.

There is a Pokémon Direct tomorrow night but thanks to trademarks the subject may have been leaked.

Pokémon Sun and Pokemon Moon will usher in the 7th Generation.

But more importantly, new Swapnote badges today!

Edit: Damn, I'm never going to get those launchers in the blocks.
Anytime there are blocks on stairs like that you can get them without plays, but it takes a long time. I've only done the first one before; they are some of the more screen switch intensive machines, but the first block isn't too bad if you are watching or listening to something else. If I recall correctly, then it may not look like anything is happening at first, but then it tips over. You may not want to try this for the other blocks as I have heard that while it is possible, it takes hours.

If you are having trouble with getting them while using plays, then I think the trick is rather than trying to pick them up, you hit them off center with the claw to roll them. Here is a video with a similar machine that should still apply:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzXOR2ao1h0

The relevant machine starts at 6:00, but after 6:30 shows what I was talking about better. If your aim is off, then it could take longer to roll properly; I've had it happen to me with similar setups.

Yeah, I'll try that tomorrow. For whatever reason I'd never tried that with this set.

As the resident Circle Entertainment fanboy, I should mention that Witch and Hero 2 recently released in Japan, we'll probably be getting it relatively soon (there's not much to localize). Also Fairune 2.

1) Your talking about Nintendo here and the sales are usually terrible.
2) it's worth the $2.79
As Frisky mentioned it's not a Nintendo game. Also maybe it is but $2 is the absolute most I would pay for it. That they put it on sale at least once a month for the exact same price only strengthens my resolve.

i thought mega man was $30?

That's for the physical game I believe. I'll be waiting on a price drop, as I'm in no rush to replay Mega Man classics, but I for sure want this set, just not for the current price.
Is $2.50 per game too much? Do you think the price will drop anytime soon?

I'm considering getting this collection digitally because I think $15 is pretty reasonable for 6 mega man titles.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are confirmed. Will include Chinese language options. Comes out "Holiday 2016" (aka the week before Black Friday)

Also, Red/Blue/Yellow are compatible with Pokémon Bank.

Well that'll smooth over the only real complaint. Though I still won't be satisfied until I can transfer my team off my 20 year old original cartridges. Make it happen Nintendo, my Snorlax is ready.

EDIT: Just thought of another complaint. You can't play the surfing minigame in Yellow without access to Pokemon Stadium. Looks like we all know what needs to be put up on the virtual console next.

Is it really not possible? There's no GB->GBA->DS->3DS transfer path at all?

That brilliant...and also horrible.  But at least now I know where all the perfect hacked Pokemon come from.  Great video.

Now I'm going to have to go torture my wallet to see if I can squeeze $100 for emulation carts out of it.

Looks like with this sale and Pokemon Yellow/Blue/Red coming out tomorrow that I need to get a bigger SD card.  Anyone have any suggestions on SD card that is not too expensive? Like what speed and stuff should I get? or does that not matter with the 3ds's reading power.

A class 10 is what people recommend but I have seen no evidence of any performance impact myself. The discussion happened a lot when SKB came out but that game just had trash performance no matter what you saved it to because it wasn't designed for DDL

You can get a class 10 32GB card for less than $20 nowadays; that should suit most people unless you wantto go all digital. You don't really need a class 10 card, but there's very little price difference so there's no reason not to.

One of the Nikki machines that you can wiggle some badges to the side is back and for longer than it was here last time. Here's a video showing one of the ways they can fall:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LE0mwu2Rjc

Getting badges without spending any of your plays is nice, but I think getting the envelopes out of the way and making the character badges easier to access might be even better.

Apparently, you can play the surfing minigame in the VC version of Yellow without needing Surf on your Pikachu.

This is incredibly important news.

Got my Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition in the mail today from Best Buy eBay store. And of course it was mailed in the smallest padded envelope they could cram it in. So the box is flattened and the game cart almost came loose inside the plastic case. Everything else seems ok. Is it even worth bitching about with customer service? I'm just glad to have all three games on one cart.

Always worth a shot but I'm pretty sure if you do it too much you go on a list. I'd document it... worst case, they give you a credit or nothing. Best case, they finally figure out how to ship a limited edition.

New Badge Arcade theme to buy. Rhythm Heaven.

Anybody who has bought the Gen 1 Pokémon games, can you transfer your Pokémon to Pokémon Bank and then back again?

I haven't bothered.  I'm trying to figure out why it's a big deal.  They did, after all, just give out Mews left and right.  What Pokemon in RBY could you not get a better version of elsewhere?

I bought all 3 (well I got 2 for free because my 3DS died at the same time the new 3DS popped up), I booted up Yellow and my nostalgia trip ended after 5 minutes of dealing with the "old" ways of doing things in the game.

I think it has resolved me to not go back for nostalgia.  It'll just irritate me.
