You can't trade on Pokemon Bank. It's essentially a Super Pokemon Box. You can move Pokemon from one version to another easier, but they don't count as trades. Though the main reason it exists is for the PokeTransporter.

Once I finish Bravely Default, I'll probably run through Denpa Men 1 (or finish it if I can remember where I was) before starting 2.

Sadly, I play more at work and in small bursts than through long sessions anymore.
I started playing Denpa Men 1 as a break from Bravely Default, but in both games right now, I need to grind a bit. That's what I get. :-({|=

I recently bought 100 worth of ecards. I hear great things about dig so I'm going to buy that!
It's a very easy game to complete and also fun to play. It is a decent length for the pricetag (took me between 10-12 hours to complete) if you're going to do everything in the game and purchase all the upgrades. It's not necessary, but helpful just so you dont have to go back and forth to the surface. If you want to just get through the game, you could probably do it in 8 hours.

Plan on buying the PS4 version of Steamworld Dig when it comes out next week (it's more money, but it's cross buy with Vita). Looking forward do it.

Reviews for Yoshi's New Island are pretty middling. That's too bad as I love this series. Will try and pick it up cheap somewhere down the line.

I'm so disappointed, I love that series too! I probably will still enjoy the game but definitely will wait for a price drop too which it probably will since it's getting such bad reviews.

Never played a Yoshi's Island game (one of the few Nintendo franchises that just never appealed to me).

But the gameplay from this new one looks turrible. Absolutely turrible.

Bring me some handheld Metroid, Ninty!

The original, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, was a jewel and a classic. It seems like every "Yoshi's Island" game that followed made critical missteps (including even the GBA version of the original). It's a shame.

Anyway, maybe I missed a post or several in one of the threads, but is Frisky okay? This is the first time I can recall where none of his threads got updated. Not that I'm saying he needs to do it every single week, because good Lord if I were him I'd get so sick of it. I'm just wondering if he's all right. If he's sick of doing it, I can sure understand that though!

Attempting to slog through the third act of BD. Such awful design choices, but I digress.

Suffice it to say, my JRPG itch has not been scratched.

Can I turn to Denpa Men 2? Or will I again be disappointed?

Steamworld Dig is a great game. It gets a bit repetitive, but it's length feels just right. Totally recommend it.
Where in the fuck did you get that sig? It's fantastic.

How's the playthrough going by the way?

Oh, and to keep this on-topic, Steamworld Dig is indeed great and worth the price of admission. It's a unique Metroidvania that doesn't overstay its welcome. If you don't know what a Metroidvania is, feel free to ask, the definition is a topic of debate.

^Thanks for including the actual sales prices.
No problem, figured I'd make it easier for Tanuki because I'm sure he's dealing with more important shit right now.

Even at $4.50 I wish it had a demo. Will think about it, but one question for those who have it: how well does it play in short bursts? Is there a quick save or is it easy enough to get back to a place where you can save?

Darn, your list is alphabetized so it beats mine. Well played, Frisky. Glad to see you're okay. I agree about Galaga, but Cube Whatever looked neat.

Shame about Yoshi and the middling reviews. Least you can tell Nintendo didn't pay anybody off.

It plays very well in short bursts IMO. There isn't really a quick save button, you have to go back to the surface to save but as you progress in the game it becomes easier to get up to the surface quickly.

Definitely worth 4.50. I got it last time it was on sale, I haven't completed it yet but I still play it occasionally if I don't have time for a game like pokemon or lego city.

Good to hear. I know there's a sleep function and all, but I like to see games that might cater more to the strengths of portable gaming. Plus I always find myself jumping around between different games and streetpass, etc.

Anyone care to share Steamworld Dig impressions for the curious?
I think I listed it as my #3 game of 2013 if that's worth anything. It's a fantastic mix of Super Metroid's ability progression and mobility and Miner Dig Deep's style of mining mechanics. It's good enough that I'll be getting it next week for PS4/Vita as a double dip and Steam when they have a big sale for it at some point for the great triple dip.

SteamWorld Dig is all kinds of fantastic, couldn't possibly recommend it enough.

I'm rebuying it on PS4 as soon as I have the chance, which is something that I never do.

Restarted my Denpa Men 1 game. Work sucked for picking up anyone decent (This is true on many levels).
I feel you. Last night, I realized I had pretty much exhausted the good Denpa Men on my wi-fi. I'm trying to remember to take my 3DS with me to work today to see what I can get there. I definitely need to hit a few different locations and get some new Men.

It's funny, I had no idea the game worked like that. I had to google last night why I wasn't getting any new/different Denpa Men. Pretty neat about the idea of getting new Denpa Men based on wi-fi signal.

I know you can also get them from QR code, but I did that in my last game, and you can overpower your team early on....so I'm actually trying not to do that and just use WiFi signals.

Are there any other good 3ds games on the rshop that anyone can recommend? I guess from the Indy titles selection. That's what steam world dig would fall under, correct?

Correct. I would recommend Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move if you like puzzle games. It has tons of content and is quite a brain teaser.

EDIT: As the posters said after I did, Gunman Clive simply can't be beat for $2.

Gunman Clive, if you haven't played that yet, is excellent and only two bucks.

Sorry, didn't see the list until afterwards, but I type up the list myself anyway to have sort of an official list for archival purposes in case I need it for something in the future.
