Yeah, I figured. Or at least they'll be offered for $15 again. But if it shows up for $10, I'll buy it as soon as I find out, even if I've got 5 other games in the queue to play.
That's how I feel about most of these Atlus games.

Even though I have no business buying them because of my ridiculous backlog, at $10 a pop I'd buy most of the games I don't already own. And then probably never play them.

Whats my best use for $23 eshop money tomorrow?
I really enjoyed Pushmo, although it has been on sale in the past.

Can never go wrong with one of the best NES games (my favorite NES game), SMB3. The Oracle games are also great.

Cave Story and Mutant Mudds are also very good if you don't already own them on other platforms.

Is Shovelknight really worth the $15 price tag?
Yes, it really is.

I've got about $23 on the eshop, i just bought steamworld dig, and witch/hero in prep for a long trip. Any suggestions on anything else digital? I will probably have starfox 64/mario world as my 1 cart. I was waiting for shovel knight to go on sale I doubt i will find a better use for $15 than that. Whats my best use for $23 eshop money tomorrow?

I already own/beat Devil Survivor on DS, own SMT IV, and don't really want CoP.

So i should just buy shovel knight right? ( is it fine on the 3DS? )
Buy Shovel Knight!

There's a money dungeon thing that I ended up buying right at the end that I wish I had gotten earlier. Money is in short supply, especially when you want to buy some of the better weapons you find later. I would suggest that one at least.

I would actually go the opposite route and suggest the storyline DLC rather than the add-on stuff or the "pay for easy mode" stuff. Not that I want to shame anyone who does buy the DLC to make the game easier; I just think it would be better to not make people pay for that. The storyline DLC is pretty fun.

Yeah, it's great on 3DS. I guess PC was probably the lead platform, but I would have thought 3DS (or Wii U) were the leads if I didn't know better. 3DS is the main platform I play it on, and then I have a Wii U version as well to play just to support (and listen to the rad tunes through my nice speakers).

Yes, [Shovel Knight] really is [worth $15].

Buy Shovel Knight!
You took the words right out of my face.

Buy Super Mario land 2 and 3.
I didn't care much for the enemy's and jumping in the GB marios, thanks though.

Almost bit on cavestory in last sale, but the physical copy stuff that was happening made me wait. Have SMB3, love it (realized I'd never played though the 7th world when i was a kid because I always saved a flute). Pushmo looks like a fun puzzle game though.

That answers my worries, thanks.

Buy Shovel Knight!
I did this, and added a tiny bit to my balance to get pushmo as well. Thanks everybody.

Yeah, actually none of the three have much in common other than that buying Shovel Knight instead is the right thing to do. :)

I do like Wario Land, but man I forgot how frustrating it was.

just looked up a bit on the super mario lands. I had super mario land. Super mario land 2 (6 golden coins) does look alot better. I might get it next time. Thanks.

To echo this, Shovel Knight on the 3DS is fantastic (haven't tried the others though). It just sort of fit better for my playstyle on this platform. They actually use the 3D as well and it isn't bad. But, like the parallax scrolling, zero slowdown and lack of sprite flicker it kind of blows the whole "retro" facade of it all (I'm definitely NOT complaining, those are artifacts of the past I can do without). The also use the second screen for status information as well. The game is just fantastic with very clever level design and varied use of simple mechanics.

Have you managed to streetpass anyone yet? I haven't, even at relay points. It makes it difficult to evaluate this 3DS-specific feature of the game.

I think the 3D is pretty neat; it sort of works in conjunction with the parallax. I sure don't miss the sprite flicker and slowdown. :) And I sort of like seeing parallax scrolling in an "8-bit" game. It's like pretending there are new NES programming tricks or something. Of course this is not an 8-bit game at all and was programmed entirely in a modern fashion... But I am easily fooled and really enjoy fake retro.

As Super Mario Land 2 is a huge improvement over 1, 3 is a big improvement over 2, you should get both, they are both awesome, and a lot of fun to play.

I know a few people here were looking for Tomodachi Life Move-In codes, so I have two to give out after getting a copy from the Best Buy sale. Let me know if you want one and I'll send it over.

Edit: The codes are gone.

That was primarily me, but I ended up getting some on twitter and getting the game in the sale too. Thanks for remembering :)

I really want to do this with a 64gb card but I'm scared of bugs. I wish Nintendo would just support bigger cards.
I wish they would have a proper account system so I didn't have to feel like I had to keep everything on the system so I don't have to worry about losing it through them only to then have to worry about losing it all permanently if I lost the system.

I don't worry about them screwing up my "account" (download list), but yeah, I do worry about losing my system. I'm not sure how it is that I'm able to carry it around everywhere with me. You'd think it would never leave the house. I worry about it getting stolen, too.

I've never lost or had a console stolen, but it wouldn't have been too big a deal with any other console. My Vita was expensive, but if it were lost, stolen, broken, I'd just get another. Oh well. Gripe gripe.

It's the one game that was truly original of the GB megaman games, all of the bosses are brand new, instead of revisits of NES megaman bosses.

Hey all, just got a 3DS for the first time!

I was asking a friend about free downloads that give Club Nintendo Coins like how Zen Pinball gives free coins on Wii U. He told me about Rusty's Real Deal Baseball and I was wondering if there are any others?

Go get Prof Layton for $10 from GameStop

fuck, aren't there a couple games that you can't even redownload? Like Wii Fit U (assuming you got the "free" version)? I don't have the balls to delete it and see for myself, but word on the net was that if you delete the save data (or even just unsync your meter) you lose it for good.

But yeah, I know I've shared this story before, but I've had firsthand experience working with a friend to get his 3DS restored and it was a total bust. Since he decided to "go digital" and had an ambassador status he was totally screwed. While I've tried to avoid digital on WiiU, I have tons of eshop credit, the MK8 promos, Wii Fit U, this year's platinum prize..... not to mention I decided to play the hypocrite and preorder Bayonetta 2. It REALLY sucks to think that a tiny bit of dust, splash of water, or even a bad electrical surge can take out what's quickly becoming a significant portion of my library with no way to restore it.

...You know, it's funny. I usually bitch about having to manage too many accounts. With bullshit like Injustice content being locked behind a WBID + ios game (even on the "Ultimate" version), not to mention bullshit with Origin and UPlay, Nintendo's inability to properly link everything together is refreshing in a way. Not to mention a more competent system wouldn't have allowed us to take advantage of the MK8 promo like we did. I just wish my digital purchases weren't locked to a single console.

The free Pokemon Bank app gives 5 coins I think.

Professor Layton, and the miracle mask, and Paper mario Sticker star are $10 at gamestop right now, they're both worth 40 coins.

This looks kind of interesting at $3.  I've been looking for something somewhat similar to Silent Scope for my 3DS XL.

I watched this and thought this is what Silent Scope would be if it were an incredibly ugly N64 game. I have $26 in my 3DS eShop account and it's like they don't want me to spend it with these "sales".

slightly off topic: of all the club nintendo gold rewards, which one is the most fun?  Is Warioland II any good?

I've got 7 days to redeem and I really don't think i want to play metroid again.

I'm in the same boat. Already have most of the good prizes including DKCR, and I don't have a Wii U.

They really could have done better for these top-tier rewards than $3-6 games and one retail game for each platform.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is probably my favorite on the list for nostalgia purposes. I still have my Gameboy cartridge of it that I beat three or four times growing up. What I like about it is you can do the worlds in any order you want. Plus it has my favorite final castle level of any of the Mario games. Again, I could be a little biased because of nostalgia goggles, but it's still a great game.

Wario Land 2 is probably my second favorite on the list, just because I had a lot of fun with the Wario Lands growing up and they're a kind of unique twist on the Mario concept of platform adventure.

Third best I'd say Metroid, especially for portability on 3DS.

After that, I'd say Zelda II, then Kid Icarus.

I can't tell if Super Mario Bros or Donkey Kong 3 comes next, because everyone and their grandma has played the original SMB and the original Donkey Kong games kind of suck ass.

Last place goes to Ice Climbers because it's terrible garbage and has aged like hot milk.

Just my two cents, but I hope it helped.

Instead, get the gameboy Donkey Kong game, which was a really good game that took the original game's idea, made it not suck, and made it into 100 levels.
