If you're not able to get into the SSB demo, don't worry. I just played it and it sucks. Maybe the reason they only gave it to platinum members is because it's a terrible demo and they didn't want to scare away potential customers. You can't do much of anything in the demo at all. Zero options.

Not sure what you expected, it's great for what it is. It gives you access to 5 fighters and lets you play local multiplayer. You only get one stage but you can play it in for glory mode if you don't like items. It's great if you want to know how the game feels and plays.

Yeah, I played two or three matches and lost interest. Which I assume is why they gave four codes so you can play it with friends hopefully.

I really have NO idea what demo you're playing, but I just played it single player and multiplayer with my wife and it's AMAZING. Perfectly synched audio/music/sound effects. rock-solid local play. The graphics are GREAT considering they're on a 3DS XL with its larger-than-planets pixels. And it plays gorgeously. It's a DEMO, so sure - you can only pick from a few characters and one stage, but it's absolutely a day-1 buy for me. 2 copies. Sold.

I'm in agreement with you, I was dying to see how it played on 3DS and give it a whirl, and the demo didn't disappoint. It's not exactly something you're going to spend hours with due to the limited characters and single level but it's not a waste of time either.

I think part of my problem is that I haven't played Smash since it came out on GC. So being thrown right into it and vaguely remembering how to play the game wasn't helpful. I think I would also want to switch the function of B and Y since that seems a lot more natural and what I kept trying to press accidentally. Still excited about the game and it shows the 3DS version is much more component than I would have expected. Though I bet it's going to be pretty cramp inducing.

It is not, as far as I know. I'm just asking since I've already beaten the game once, trying to figure out if I'd actually play it some more if I buy digital.

I wasn't being mean. Sheesh you guys are sensitive. I was trying to make people feel better who were getting left out and couldn't get a code. I'm happy you folks are enjoying the demo. I wasn't trying to invalidate your enjoyment, merely pointing out that it is not worth getting fussed over.
