how much donkey kong land 1/2/3 everyday price? $3.99 is normal price or sale price?
All the donkey kongs appear to be normal price, except for tropical freeze if you get it 30% off with offer. Wish there was a deal on the older games instead.

I...  I didn't even know DKL was a thing!  DKC 1 & 2 are among my favorite games to this day, and I played them through multiple times as a kid.  I even consider myself up on all things gaming, now I feel like I don't even know who I am anymore.

Donkey Kong Land was like Donkey Kong Country Lite back in the day! That and Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins were my gameboy shizz.

I think I'm more excited that DKC 1, 2 and 3 have returned to the eShop than the sale itself even though it is a pretty good deal. Now I just need to get myself a Wii U!

I even had a GB during that time period and I somehow still managed to have no idea that these games existed.

Had I known that these games existed(in a sense)in portable form back then my young mind would have been blown.

Totally would've pulled the trigger on this sale if I hadn't already gotten DKCR3D as a Club Nintendo reward.

What do you have/not have? Super mario 3d land is an amazing game

You have a distinct lack of Ace Attorney games on that list.

I also suggest the Zelda Oracle games, Pokemon Shuffle, and when they go on sale again, Attack of the Friday Monsters and Liberation Maiden (though both are pretty short).

Bro, there is a distinct lack of Shovel Knight on that list. Also Azure Striker Gunvolt is mad fun. Aaaaand Fire Emblem.

That's exactly what I was looking for guys.

I just watched a trailer for Attack of the Friday Monster and it looked amazing actually Seems like it has nothing to do with monsters as that stuff is somewhat going on in the background. I like sub plots within an overall plot!

Will check out the others too

Ace Attorneys

Shovel Knight

Azure Striker Gunvolt

Fire Emblem

Zelda Oracle games

Pokemon Shuffle

Attack Friday Monster

Liberation Maiden

Good stuff!

I've been wanting to get Fire Emblem, I liked what I played on the demo. But is it a long game? I purchase too many 80+ hour games and never finish them because I zone out after a few days and move onto something else.

FE:A not only remains my favorite 3DS game, but it's one of the best I've played in years on any platform. Exquisite in every sense of the word. Yes, it's a pretty meaty campaign but doesn't overstay its welcome. I think I capped out at around ~50 hrs. Depends on how neurotic you want to be over losing characters lol.

I took me ~30 hrs to beat Fire Emblem, but I skipped half of the child side-quests because I lost interest. Didn't really like the game as much as the older ones.

Why cant Nintendo just do a normal sale, like everyone else? I'd love to pick up DKCR3D, but I'm not going to buy a game I'll never play just to have access to the sale price.

I think the other point of this promotion is to make the release of these DK games on the two eShops a big deal.

DK Country 3D for $21 AFTER you buy another full priced Virtual Console Donkey Kong game.  I love Nintendo, but I see they are still figuring out how a digital sales platform works.  Sheesh.

Soooo, Pokemon Shuffle. I've loved it. I picked Trozei back up. Anyone else? I had only gotten through the first stages in Trozei when I quit, but now I think I'll finish the game.

So I let my son have a go at shuffle and now he wants my XL. I knew this would happen! Will give him trozei to play instead since there is no chance he accidentally purchases IAP and no timers for stamina!

Honestly, I like Shuffle more than either Trozei game.
Oh, same here. But Trozei is similar, even if trying to trigger the rarer Pokemon is pretty frustrating. I'll probably give the game a play-through just to catch all the simpler Pokemon. But only while waiting for hearts in Shuffle. :D

All of those games are well worth the asking prices and very enjoyable with the exception of liberation maiden, which may be hit or miss.

Let's say you have a hypothetical $50 to spend at the estore. You already have Super Smash, PokeX, Mario Golf and Super Mario Bros 3.

What do you grab? Bravery or Fire Emblem worth the hype? A Zelda game? Anything else? Any Virtual Console gems? Save it for something upcoming? Any list online that tells future VC games?

I'm going to guess that no Nintendo/quality games ever go on sale so there's no need to wait.

They definitely go on sale. LOZ OOT was 30% off last year, and the Oracle games as well. If you're not in dire need of spending your credits I would wait until something you're actually excited to play goes on sale

I really liked Fire Emblem, haven't played Bravely Default but own it. I think any Zelda game would be worth your time. Good luck

I would grab A Link Between Worlds if I were you. It's my favorite 3DS game.

Grab Fire Emblem. It's not just hype, it's decades of a fantastic series built to near perfection.

Bravely default is meh, wonderful job system but the last 3rd of the game really brings it down.

I've been working through ALBW recently, and maybe I'm just not far enough (I'm in my third Lorule dungeon), but it seems really lacking in the personality that make Zelda games stand out from each other, and the entirely rupee-based system of item acquisition makes the general dungeon design feel kind of generic each compared to the other. It's a solid game, but it doesn't stand out compared to... basically any other game in the series. It's just kind of bland.

I just bought a New 3DS (along with ALBW and Majora's Mask) and I'm pretty much in the same boat. I was excited when I saw the Donkey Kong promo until I realized it wasn't a real sale. I ended up getting Shin Megami Tensei IV since it was cheaper and easier to buy digital than physical. And I grabbed Animal Crossing, since it's a game I'll play every day and want the digital copy. For me, everything else on the 3DS e-shop was too expensive and the VC line-up isn't too tempting. Of course those two games weren't on sale, but I'm happy with the purchases.

Yeah, so Pokemon shuffle hype... It's true. Better than trozei. I let my son play through the game and when he goes to nap or sleep, I go in and catch the Pokemon that he did not spend time on. Ah, to be a dad... Tough job!!

That's the first time I've seen someone say something so negative about it.

I'd elaborate on why it's so good(many viewed it as a return to form after the last few games received lukewarm responses from fans), but I'm way too tired at the moment... Maybe in the morning.

Fire Emblem without a doubt. Only game I've paid full price for in years because I went digital on release day and it was worth at least twice what I paid for. Can't wait for the next game in the series!

I saw plenty of those opinions, which is part of why I found the game disappointing. There's nothing wrong with form, but there has to be more to it than that to make a good game. Don't get me wrong, ALBW is very well executed, but it has so little else going for it that it's hard for me to see why people got so excited about it. And again, the idea of getting any item in any order is nice on paper, but in practice it just kind of strips dungeons of the sort of solid design direction that's been the hallmark of most Zelda games. It feels like Zelda-by-the-numbers, which means a solid game, but a forgettable one.
