Hey all, didn't see this posted but stopped by Carl's Jr for lunch today and noticed they are selling a keychain of the car from the upcoming Green Hornet movie for $1.99 and it comes with a little coupon book. One of the coupons is $50 off a PSP Go at Target (Expires 2/28/11). I'm assuming these are the same coupons at both Carl's Jr and Hardees since some of the food coupons are for both restaurants.

All the coupons included:
$10 off at efxusa.com (using code greenhornet2011 / Valid till 4/20/2011)
20% off at teleflora.com/hornet (Valid till 3/31/2011
$50 off PSP Go system at Target (In store coupon good till 2/28/11)
$3 off select Sony Blu-rays at Amazon (use code GRHORNET at checkout / good till 1/31/11). [As of the time of posting this, the link on the coupon won't work for me, but the code might work on some Sony Blu-Rays)
$3 off Grown Ups or The Other Guys DVD/Blu Ray. (Coupon you can use in store, or use code COMEDYS3 on Amazon / Good till 2/13/11)
$10 off any W-Series Sony Cyber-Shot Camera at www.sonystyle.com/thegreenhornet (Use code green hornet / good 12/1/10-2/11/2011)
Free Medium Drink with any grilled chicken salad (Carl's Jr till 3/31/2011)
Free Small Fries and Drink with any six dollar burger (Carl's Jr till 3/31/2011)
Free Small Fries and Drink with and 1/3lb. Thickburger (Hardees till 3/31/2011)
$1 off Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders Combo (Hardees till 3/31/2011)

Hopefully no one posted this because I'd be pissed that I just typed all this out, otherwise here's to hoping for a major sale on the PSP Go at Target!

For those that used the printed off coupon, did you print the coupon as is, or did you re-size it? If resized, what are the original coupon's dimensions. Thanks.

2" x 3.5" is the original size.

Feel like I got away like a bandit today. Went to Radioshack and picked up an ad and then tried Carl's Jr. but they said they ran out of the coupon books a few weeks back. Had a printed copy resized to around the original size for back up.

Asked the only guy around about price matching and he showed me a repackaged Go they had returned a few days ago. Said the thing was pretty much untouched and let me look at it. Was $140.91 or something like that, so I said sure. Presented the coupon at checkout and he scanned it and it worked. Didn't even check with anyone. Walked out with a near mint PSP Go for $96.

Man Ive been thinking about gettin one of these for a while now, and this seems like too good of a deal to pass up. Gonna swing by Radioshack/Hardees on my way to work today and hope one of the 15 targets in my area accepts both of em.

Also read an article on Destructoid earlier today that said they finally hacked the Go. Now there should be no worries about not being able to play the games you already own on UMD. That was really the only thing holding me back.

Can someone link to a scan of the coupon? I'm feeling really left out up here in NY.

Can anyone upload a scan of the coupon? This might be worth a try and there are not CJ's/Hardees for hundreds of miles.

Believe it's against the rules now (check a few pages back for the mod post).

There are plenty of obvious places to find such things though.
After one day of owning the PSP Go, I am rather impressed with the clarity of the LCD screen and the overall build quality. Definitely a step above the current 2000 I own. I think I'm gonna trade in the UMDs at gamestop and convert the credit into PSN cards now. :D
BTW, I did this exact thing and then sold my PSP go 3 weeks later because my hand was cramping due to the small size. Went back to a 3000. I can still use all my downloaded games, but I wish I hasn't sold off all my UMD's. The go is impressive but the form factor hurts for long term play (depending on hand size!)

My bad, that would explain why my original post was deleted. It is hard to read every single comment though.

I finally was able to get one!:bouncy: I was hoping to get a 2nd one, so I went to another store but was shot down. I'm actually happy they didn't allow me to do the PM at the 2nd store, because after that I went to Best Buy and found a laptop on clearance that I'd been trying to hunt down for the past couple weeks.

All in all a very good day for deals.

Side question that doesn't relate to my previous post; how do you get the 3 free games if they weren't included in the PSPGo box when I got it? In the GS $99 thread, it says to just register my PSPGo on the internet, but I did that and it didn't really do or say anything regarding the 3 free games...

they looked at the ad at customer service, and then the coupon, and told me it must be some kind of error and tore them both up.

wow.

If you registered your PSP, though, and then signed into the store on the GO using your PSN account, you should get the code for the games e-mailed to you.

Some people get them in 3 days, others, it's taken weeks. But you'll get them eventually.

Wow, indeed.

That's brutal..

wow. you should have called for the manager. they had no right to rip your $50 off coupon. If they did that to me I would call the manager if they didnt offer be something better called district manager and if not taken it all the way to corporate. Who the beep do they think they are considering you paid $2 bucks to get the coupon book. If I were you I would go back and rip some of their clothes. LOL. what did you do? did you just leave?

Target customer service can be a bit of a bitch most of the time...tearing up coupons...that ain't cool.

I'd so jump on this deal but I need to save money for the 3DS.

You should write to the Consumerist tip line. They'd probably post about it if it's a good enough story.

i got the 2nd to last one at the Santa Clarita, CA target. Damn it took forever because the guy took me up to the customer service to do a price match. I basically went through 6 people before I walked out with it for $109.74.

Wow. If I was in that situation, I would call the manager right away and complain about that bitz tearing my coupon

well it was a printed coupon. The hardees up here in wisconsin aren't participating in the promo, apparently. I checked with one and they said it was only available in texas or something.

But they didn't need to tear it up :( I just left, cause it was the store manager that did it.

Geez, Hardees needs to step their game up!

While knowing it's quite wrong and would solve nothing, I would really wanna throw a fry at that manager's head.

I think this video is actually for something else. Seems there was a promo in Europe if you upgraded from a UMD drive PSP to a Go.

all the targets in the LA socal area seem to be sold out of PSP go...... disappointing.

I think I might just pay the extra $50 at radioshack

It's the hand size because this thing is awesome and comfortable, for me.

Booyah, got it on my first Target run. I fully expected that one, the single Hardees in the area wouldnt be doing the promotion, but they were, and two, I would have to go to at least 3 or 4 different Targets before I got one to do it. Turns out everything went perfectly and I walked out with a brand new PSP Go for $105.99. Not bad at all. Thanks OP and everyone who added info about this.

Okay, just picked up a coupon book from Carl's Jr. Now, to save up money and combine it with a PM/price drop before the coupon expires...
you guys might want to check the target stock first. It looks like they're sold out all around So cal at least
There should still be 2 PSPgos, both black at the West Covina South Target. That's where I got mine and they did PM + coupon, no problem.

I am going to try to get the coupon and pm to work tomorrow. Can anyone tell me how successful they have been getting this deal to work in the northeast?

I found out about this deal yesterday and I was pretty lucky finding one here in SoCal...Went to the Diamond Bar location, grabbed the last one and the manager was nice enough to PM it with the Radio Shack ad and took the coupon @ the end. To add insult to injury, I used my Target card to save 5% off my purchase. The look on the manager's face was priceless...made me feel bad in a way since he said he wasn't allowed to PM on ads that state "limited quantities" and at the end I walked off with it for $105.

Thanks for the heads up, Yeah looks like you guys have stock @ both locations out there.
Did you use a printed coupon or an actual one?

All around my work in culver city and my house in the southbay it's completely dry.
Stores said they've been out for 3 weeks!

If it came down to it though, i'd rather pay the extra $50 @ radioshack rather than brave a drive after work from Culver city to west covina ;)
Since I already have a psp-2000 I never play anyway, I think i'll prob see if any stores get stock here before the 9th.
I'm assuming that the psp go's portability will actually make me play games. the psp-2000 is still too large for pocket size.

There letting you guys price match and buy the White PSP Go's as well?

Hmm, i might have to try to get one. Sadly, also on the West side of Los Angeles, and most targets are showing OOS.

The psp go that i bought from gs doesnt want to charge, it charged like 2 times but not anymore. Damn and it was hard to find, most probably will buy it new :/

Has anyone had any luck PMing the AD & the coupon at Walmart? I have 1 Hardees close to me in Florida and a Radio Shack around it but Target is sold out until Tuesday!! Was hoping something tried PMing everything through Walmart with success...

Don't assume it's broken yet. PSPgo's stock USB cable will only charge the system if the PSPgo is turned on, assuming you're plugged into a PC USB port. However, if you plug the cable into the included AC adapter, it will charge while the system is off. I found this out after a lot of trial and error and thinking that my own system was broken.

My Solution was an inexpensive third party PSPgo cable I bought from Amazon. The third party cable charges it whether or not the system is off or on.

I had no problem in southeast Michigan, Id imagine the only difficulty you'd have is finding a Hardees/Carls Jr. There happens to be one a few miles from my house, but its the only one within like at least a 50 mile radius of itself.

As for Targets half of the deal, I didnt really have any problems there either. The first one I went to only had one left in stock so I got it taken up to Customer Services for me and two women were trying to make sure it was the same as the Radioshack ad for like 5 minutes. They were looking for stuff like making sure its the same screen size so I just said "Uh, they only make one different model and the only difference is that its white." They were like "oh ok, I guess.." and price matched it, then I gave her the coupon and she scanned it and bam, $100 PSP Go.

Even if you could PM the Radio Shack price, Walmart will never accept the coupon, so it's useless to try.

Just got the PSPgo for $108.xx here in San Diego at the poway target. Got the last one in stock, they escorted it to customer service and they pricematched no problem. I handed them the coupon, and the two girls stared at each other and said "sure why not" and rang me up. They said it was the deal of the century.

Thanks a bunch OP!

I thought the new Walmart Ad said that they price match both competitor's prices and coupons... :/ Oh well the Radioshack Ad expires today anyways :/ Good deal for those who capitalized!

I got mine today however it keeps shutting down on the god of war ghost of sparta demo before I get to title. Works for phantasy star 2

Update looks like the godofwar demo has problems in general.

well Radioshack ad expired. Guess we'll see if Target ever gets more stock by the time the $50 coupon expires and if anyone has it for $150 again.
If I have firmware 5.70 on my PSPGo is that sufficient, or should I update to 6.35? Is there any reason I shouldn't update?
I think it depends on how urgently you want CFW on your PSP. Give these guys a couple weeks to a month to work on it, and it's not going to matter what firmware you're on at all.
