Stores will be setting up "dump bins" for these titles, and from what I understand so far, they won't be marked as the 50% off price, but will ring up as half off the price on the sticker.

This deal works online! If you do "Pick Up @ Store," you will get the discounted price when you pick up the game.

And just for reference, since I'm not sure how well-known these acronyms are... KNR = Kinect Required, MVR = Move Required, MVC = Move Compatible, MP = Motion Plus.

Well supposedly I think what they mean is that you have the current 50% going on, so say a game like SW:TFU. It costs $9.99 normally, but it's currently on sale for $4.99. Now if you add it to your cart and go through the checkout process, you should see at the bottom an additional -$2.50 off. Essentially making the game $2.50 + tax.

I'm just worried that if Gamestop sees my order with 7 Wii games with this additional 50% off. Well, not sure how their "system" would take an order like that. Does anyone know how GS.com bans trigger? Anyone ever been banned for a GS glitch? I know that if you do multiple orders, and add quantities higher than 1 on several items can cause it. But not sure if this extra 50%, along with the 4/1 'expired' SAVER coupon that still works would be considered a glitch that warrants a ban.

I'm surprised that Earth Defense Force isn't sold out but Resistance 2 is. Seems like every local Gamestop has an unlimited supply of Resistance 2. I can't believe how quick most of the games went, even Haze is even sold out!?!?
 
Seeing that about 18,733 People had seen it (CAGs and Lurkers), I wouldn't be that much surprised, especially if some of the People posted information about it on other deal websites and such.
 
Thanks for hogging all the Resistance 2 copies, been waiting for that to drop in price... Guess I'll just have to go to the store for it. $3.50 is good enough, at least I'll be able to look for a copy with case+manual.

Edit: For fun I tried to do The Force Unleashed, but after shipping, the extra discount became worthless. Since there is so little in the sale I want, in store will be my best option I guess.
 
I have an order placed with Blast Works which is now out of stock, and there's a couple of other things I don't really know if I want after thinking about it but then I wouldn't get the main game I wanted to try :/

Go into store and look. The store locator seems to never be right for me or employees seem to forget that they have games they claim they dont have

Yeah, I might just do that. I just looked an their actually is one in my area, that way I'll just get a game I know I'll play instead of a couple that will probably just sit there taking up space.

Im gonna go first thing in the morning when the open at 10:00 AM, its 2:20 AM here so Ill be reporting here on anything I find. Maybe there will be more games on sale in store then on the online website.

Since I'm not that dedicated to wait for the sale to go live I missed most of the better titles, but I was still able to get 11 games for $28 (SAVER did work, I did have to order a couple of copies of Kinect Adventures to push it over $25). Now to keep my fingers crossed that I don't receive new coasters.

anyone on the east coast planning on going at opening? it would be nice for the rest of us know how things go in store ahead of "our" time so we know if its worth going or not. or at least id like to know before i waste my time (and sleep)

Yeah, I'll be there around open and post. However, from the looks of it (trying to reserve online for instore pickup) prices are not discounted. Hopefully we can still get 50% off, if not the 75% online gave us.
 
I'll be going to my store at opening, but I'm in Illinois. Might pick up Lair and one of the BlazBlu's and price adjust my copy of Haze. I have Deux Ex, Bulletsorm and Resistance 2, those are great deals, though. Maybe I'll find something else in the dump bin.
 
I put in an order before I went to class and I plan on stopping by gamestop after my classes are over to see if I find some other games I wanted.

I watched a review on BlazBlu and quickly remembered why fighting games bore me within minutes. Looks cool but I'll pass even for $6.

Might still bite on Shellshock 2.

Edit: Shellshock is $5....meh, probably not worth it, either.

i was going through the price drops on used games, and some of them not listed anywhere here (OP anyway) are also getting 50% off their price. tom clancy's hawx, de blob 2 and medievil moves are 2.50, 3.25 and 3.25 respetively (ps3). F1 is 2.25 for ps3 as well.

This is utterly crappy. Free shipping is only for orders on $25 and not enough stuff is in stock for me to hit $25.

Worse yet, the current prices were never put in the OP so I've had to slog 1 by 1 through each title to check prices. As I add the few left in stock in my cart and continue on to try to hit $25, every few minutes 1 of the titles I want goes OOS (Shellshock 2 just disappeared) and I get knocked back further. So I'm about ready to give up on the whole thing.

So thumbs up for posting the deal and double thumbs down for not putting in prices to save me from wasting all this time and having stuff go OOS in my cart due to that. Apparently the bonus 50% off is online only so all prices in store will be what's listed online.

EDIT: The posts above are right. The 50% off on each of my titles in the cart disappeared, so I'm aborting this total waste of 30 minutes. Sorry I saw this thread.

I think the current prices are what reflect the actual prices, and somehow they were doubling the 50% off which is why you guys were seeing things for $2.25 etc.

I just picked up 7 games for $30 after taxes so it's still a great deal.

For some reason I thought I would wake up, go to work, then head over to GS to see if they had anything. Turns out, the entire sale was online, and the (out of stock) items do not appear to even reflect in-store prices. Luckily there wasn't a whole lot I missed out on.
 
I ordered some items for instore pickup, but the prices doubled up. Does anyone know if they'll price match these in store or are they online only? Thank you!

This is either false or then the sale is YMMV.

Bought lair, blazblue, haze and bulletstorm all :ps3: for 12.11 after discount code 14619 and PUR. So worked for me, however it did not stack the extra 50% that the web did earlier this morning.

I'm just assuming (since I tried adding some items that were out-of-stock) for in-store pickup and it kept telling me the price was higher in-store. Could be different though - don't think any CAG have reported in-store finds?
