Batman Begins :)xbox:)
Mortal Kombat®: Deception
how is batman begins at the cheap price anyone pick it up?
It's a poor man's Splinter Cell. The game leads you by the hand way too much. It's very very mediocre. On the same token, it is only 9 bucks. Pick it up if you're really desperate for a new stealth title, but don't expect too much from it.
how is batman begins at the cheap price anyone pick it up?
I enjoyed it. It's not real complex, but it's fun and actually makes you feel like Batman. The story is chopped up to the point where it's almost nonsensical, but that doesn't really matter that much anyway. It's about a 10 hour game, which feels like the right length for it. I paid $10 for it using one of the EA coupons earlier this year and thought it was worth that (of course, I also sold it off after I beat it since it's not a game that has any replay value ;)).

As for the WA3 conversation, it's well worth the extra few cents it costs over WA4, since it's definitely the superior game of the two. One of the better RPGs this gen imo.

I am playing it right now for the Xbox. It is kind of like Splinter Cell meets standard 3rd person fighter. Not bad for $8.96.

Just picked up TW-AW LE, Getting Up LE, Wild Arms 4, Indigo Prophecy, Gun, Without Warning, GTA-LCS and WoW for $90. I used the $15 off $100. Almost bought Guild Wars Factions, but figured WoW was enough for MMO.

Well, I finally located Getting Up and Driver: Parallel Lines at my CC... still locked in the case with the other "best selling" games, marked at 39.99 each.

Since the inventory said they had two, I went back to scour the PS2 section (before I found them in the case). As I did so, I realized how sad my store is. There was exactly one copy of every non-GH/new release PS2 game they had.
Nice, is that w/ camera only?

I'll have to go back for this and Karaoke 3.
Yup. Not really complaining, it's a good feeling knowing you have an extra one for so damn cheap for the hell of it. It's also been a long ass while since i've seen Circuit City or Best Buys around here sell just the games themselves for whether it be Eyetoy or Guncon games.

Aww i saw one at the CC I went to today but didn't think to check it. Plus it wasn't marked at 8.96 and most of the games from this drop were. Oh well - it wouldv'e probably sit with the rest of the games I bought for 6 months anyway.

Then again when buying an Eyetoy game you also have to think to yourself "Do i care if someone walks and watches me pretend im flying/hoverboarding/whatever else infront of a TV?" You haven't felt the lonely sober awkwardness of playing the Sega Superstars, Crazy Taxi game as you yell and jump up and down trying to catch a virtual taxi. So just a reminder when buying one.

Heh - well i already have Groove and Sega Superstars, I have no shame. Though at current apt. the lighting doesn't allow EYetoy to work well. Maybe when i move it will be more conducive.

I have we love katamari, Haunting Ground, Wild arms 4, From Russia with Love, Castlevania etc. I want Midnight Club 3! Or I can check lists too.

Did anyone get extra copies of We Love Katamari? None of the stores here can hold on to any Katamari games for more than a day (new or used)...must be a great game!

Picked up Dynasty Warriors 5 XL and Xeno II today. The other games don't look like they've been touched one bit since the last time I was there. Still no indications of the markdown.

I did 2 good CAG deeds for the day as well. A kid (10 or 11) was looking at Nicktoons United and asking his Dad to get it. I let it slip that it was part of an unmarked clearance at $9 (it is still tagged $39.99). Of course I did this casually and without revealing my source. They were very grateful, and marched right over to checkout. Had they stuck around I would have let them in on Incredibles and few of the other kid-friendly titles :D. (Funny thing - the kid kept saying to his dad, "Is this REALLY $9?". All the dad could say was "that's what he said").

Then, later, at TRU when I couldn't find Bomberman I gave a couple who was thinking of purchasing a DS for their kid the $5 off DS game coupon. They were still deciding between the GBA Micro and the DS when I left though. Hopefully the coupon swayed them towards the Lite. Unfortunately I find that most of the times in these situations the employee misleads them on the advantages of the DS (usually it comes down to it having 2 screens vs 1 and not the much greater power of the DS). Then they go with the GBA or Micro because it is a slight discount vs the DS, as they think the DS is just an "enhanced" Game Boy. I've seen this happen several times.

picked up antigrav and for 9 bucks this thing is a steal. i havent even played the game yet because i wanted to see if the camera would work on my computer and it does plus it has great quality! so if anyone is need in of replacing their old webcam pick this one up its great!

picked up 2 Radiata stories,2 Wild Arms 4,2 Castlevania CoD and Gauntlet my stores had plenty of them so if anyone wants to trade for them or wants me to pick em up let me know

Ugh...This would go on when I was in the hospital. The three CC's closest to me don't have the cheap ones I want (Gun, Ultimate Spiderman, Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Gauntlet Seven Sorrows)...Apparently the hordes here ransacked my accesible stores. Nice timing, CC!

Not necessarily hoarders, your CC may have just not had them. I've checked out 4 CCs this week and only saw Gauntlet and Radiata at one of them. Didn't see Katamari or Warriors at ANY of them, and these weren't raided places, there were Indigo prophecies and Hulks proudly on display.

The Almeda Tx CC has a very good selection. I don't think there are many CAGs in my area which is usually good for me :). However, there were NO Monster Hunter, Area 51, Radiata Stories. Plenty of Katamari, Hulk UD and just about everything else.

FWIW, I had them scan 2 PSP games(ATV offroad fury and NFS:MW) and they both came up reg price($39)

Yeah, that's just the way it is. All the CC's around me have multiple Gun, Hulk, Spiderman, Warriors, Wild Arms 4, and several others, but I only ever found 1 Radiata right at the start of the sale and none of the 4 CC's around here had Gauntlet at all (an employee checked stock for me). I believe I saw one Katamari the day BEFORE I realized it was on sale. There just wasn't that much stock - so far it seems the hard to finds are Radiata, Katamari, and Gauntlet (not just based on my experience but based on the cumulative results of this thread).
Anyone try NFS MW Collector's Yet? I tried POP:TTT the other day but thats rings full price.
I checked the Xbox version, but not the PS2 one. Full price (dammit, I want those other two cars)

I checked the PS2 version today, it's still $59.99.

sorry if this has been mentioned....is The Warriors $8.96 for PS2 and Xbox?

I sold off my Xbox copy when I got a 360, since I didn't think they'd make it B/C. I've been looking to pick up a PS2 copy on the cheap since then.

Just had to toot the horn of it, but the Marc Ecko limited edition box is a thing of beauty for $8.96. Like i don't care if the game plays like shit (have owned it for awhile now, but havent gotten it out of the package), the limited edition packaging of it alone makes it worth the purchase. Like seriously; DVD/CD, Marc Ecko sharpie, and the production diary/sketchbook all in the tin case really makes it feel more then just like any other limited edition. I'll get to playing it eventually, but hot damn it looks nice.

Heh...Whoops...Maybe I should've used the word "masses" instead. But you could be right, dino...Unfortunately, the CC's accessible aren't very good at having a lot of the things I want in stock, be it by my bad luck or inter-store conspiracy.Ah well...Unless any kind CAGs wanna sell me an extra copy of Gun, Ultimate Spiderman and/or Hulk Ultimate Destruction (PM me if you do, please! ;) ), guess I got to hope for a damn fine 4th of July sell.

I picked up Marc Ecko LE and Crazy Taxi both for PS2. I also had Indigo Prophecy, Karaoke Revolution v3 and Haunting Ground in my hands but those 3 games wouldn't scan up for any price and after more than 20mins a store manager finally showed up.. promptly scanned them all and got the same result, then calmly told me that since the games weren't in the system he couldn't sell them to me.. and then had another sales associate go and remove them from the shelves.. this is the only CC around by me that even had these games and multiple copies of them too.. man, i was pissed.

alright all i am taped for cash and this sale has been awesome
ive gotten:
ssx on tour
ult spiderman
indigo prophecy
getting up

thanks to everyone who posted updates and OP for opening our eyes

and of course lets hope for an xbox and gamcube update cross your fingers :)

I was able to get out early today and picked up the last copies of GUN, Indigo Prophecy, and The Warriors at the Albany, NY CC.

Also I hid the last copy of Radiata Stories on the bottom shelf behind some copies of Crash Team Racing for any fellow CAG. The game doesn't really do anything for me, but it seems to be a hot item for a lot of people.

Thanks to one and all for the great deals.
Yeah I would like to know if this is The Warriors for Xbox as well.
PS2 only... all PS2 only.

It's not really a sale... more of a clearance. Will run until...?
PS2 only... all PS2 only.

I find it somewhat interesting that we all (including me) automatically think that they're clearancing to make room for PS3 and Wii games on the racks, but knowing them, they'll probably just put all the next-gen games behind the counter, like all the 360 games.

ah well, who cares, i know. clearances rule! thanks CAG.

I was able to find everything I wanted, except for We Love/Heart Katamarl. There was even two Crisis Zones with Guncon 2, and Mark Ecko LE.

So far I got
Gun
Incredible Hulk
Indigo Prophecy
THAW CE
Warriors
NBA Street 3
Ultimate Spider Man

I also picked up Blitz, From Russia with Love, Matrix Path of Neo, and Ratchet and Clank UYA from the $10 sale a few weeks ago.

I know this has been mentioned before, but I need clarification ...

Are these games physically marked down? Will they ring up at the clearance price despite being marked at their regular price?

I ask because I went to my local CC at lunch today... I saw a lot of the games on this list, but they were all marked at their regular price. Some games were marked from the earlier clearance (Beyond Good & Evil, $14) so that confused me. I took Sly 2, R&C:UYA, and Killzone to a clerk to do a price check - all three were $20. Upon returning them back to the racks, I noticed a copy of R&C:UYA w/ a sticker marking it down to $10. I took this copy to the cashier and, despite the computer recognizing it as $20, she manually adjusted the price to $10 without me having to interject.

So what gives here? I'm afraid of returning to this CC, picking up some games for trading at CAG, and then being embarassed at the cash register.

CC is the laziest store on the face of the planet, and never ever mark down the prices. The ones you took up were ones that were marked back to full price shortly after the sale started... everything else on the list is $8.96.

Best thing to do is to have the rep scan the UPC at their terminal, and that will show you what the price is. Some stores mark them down, others don't. All depends on the store's procedures on how well they keep up with it.

Exactly. It should be corporate-wide, these prices. Some stores don't even bother to physically mark them down if they know most of them are going to sell like they are.
Is Time Crisis 3 also part of the deal with gun?
Time Crisis 3: Crisis ZONE (with one Guncon2) is $8.96. There is also another Time Crisis 3 with 2 guns. That one, as far as I know, is not on sale.

Or more accurately some stores (like mine) just never physically mark anything down.
