AC:WW Discussion Thread - Visits/Trades/etc.

I've got my gates open right now, and probably will be for a couple hours. I will probably be AFK though but feel free to look around. I left some extra Dino bones in front of Nook's it looks like I need three to finish my collection if anyone has them.

The last one is in the second room back (dino exhibit) on a pedestal next to the dinosaur egg, but it's not labeled so I don't know what it is.

There are also some extra snowman pieces (Fridge, and Table) as well as some extra Gyroids.

I'm looking for the following items if anyone has them.

Hospital Bed
Amazing Machine
Medicine Chest
Florence Flask
Unknown Machine
 
i need to bones to complete my dino section, a petra left wing and petra tail... i think thats what they are called, or at least i assume. if anyone finds these please tell me.

also, my gates are open, but ill likely be afk.

has anyone figured out a way to make neighbors move. i have a few im not really fond of. ive ignored them, dont do errands for them, run away when they want to talk to me, and hit them with my net until they cry. but the ones i like and are nice to, doing errands and sendings gifts and stuff still try to move away... that doesnt make sense. anyone?

I wonder the same thing as well. Half of the residents that I treat really well tell me they are going to move about once a week or so. Of course I usually convince them not to leave but it is annoying.

What I really want to know is how I get a resident's portrait. I have secret phrases with a couple of my peeps, deliver crap for them, give them gifts, etc., but not one has ever given me a picture. What's the deal?

yeah, i have no idea either. butch gave me his, i was really nice to him. but others like curt, blaire and whitney (my 3 favs) dont give me portraits even though i do their dirty work all the time. but victoria (i hate that horse bitch) gave me her picture out of the blue, i never do anything for her, i wish she would move! the only reason i have her pic in my house is for the bonus points.

I've gotten a few (Agent S, Victoria, Savannah, Joey). Do you send them letters with presents? I did all the things you mentioned above as well. Eventually they will come up to you and give you a pic (try standing by them without talking to them - they need to initiate the conversation to give a picture). Since those 4 though I have had a real hard time getting any more. I've been working on Amelia and Yuka for a long time now with no luck (and if anything my 'luck' should be much better now with the Feng Shui).

Fortunately, both Joey and Savannah moved right after so I got some new ones to work on - both from fellow CAG towns by the way (Rowan and Rolf).

Agent S is the only one I am trying to keep around - best animal ever.

Oh, sweet. Got the Ancient Wall from Sahara today, meaning I have both the Ancient wallpaper and carpet! Awesome!

I liked it so much, but didn't want to break my snowman set, so I threw it up in my arcade. While it isn't arcade-y, it's too darn cool to not display.

LOL. I just got Joey from Tiramisu's town. That animal is making the rounds!

BTW, I was checking gamefaqs about the pics and people swear that if you start the game and then close the lid for 10-15 mins and let the DS go into standby, that when you start to play again, a lot of your villagers will initiate a conversation with you and your chances at getting a picture are much better. I'm going to give that a shot tonight.

Dammit, I wish Saharah would just show up ONCE in my town! I bought the Ancient Wall off of someone and would like the floor to match. I also want the Lunar and desert stuff from her.

On a good note, I *finally* got a real painting from Redd yesterday. 1st non-fake in 6 or 7 tries. Now that my Feng Shui is pumped up pretty high maybe I will continue to get some good ones.
 
Redd showed up for you? Since Birhgt Nights blocked my Lyle, I haven't had Redd for two weeks, darn it.

Oh, I found a jack-in-the-box in the lost and found, so, more luck for me. :D

Yeah, Bright Nights was over Monday, Redd was there today. I didn't have him last week though. I figured he still came on whatever day you told Lyle 2 weeks ago (I think I said Weds last time). Got the password in the mail and everything.
 
Oh, well, I told him Friday, so I guess I might get the password tomorrow.

I just figured Bright Nights blocke dRedd for whatever you told Lyle last, and since Lyle didn't come again Redd was just not gonna show up this week either.

I have to work tomorrow during the day, but I can be on around 8 PM Eastern. I also have a 4 day weekend starting Friday. If we don't meet up tomorrow, we can definitely schedule a time over the long weekend. Let me know.

Claire is one of the constellations I made. It is named for my cat Claire and shaped like a bell because I always call her Clarabell. You must have it in your sky now!

I have a lunar surface you can have for nothing (unless you have some classic stuff to trade). I havent been in your town yet (and vice versa I think) so that would be cool anyway.
