ARGH - not sure what happened there. Sorry, all - I came back to save and as soon as I did, communication failed! Must be something on Nintendo's end, since my broadband connection was dedicated solely to AC at the time :whistle2:(

im kinda against cheating, but only setting it a day forward isnt as bad as some of these ppl going to halloween/christmas. (yea, thats my rationalization and im sticking to it)

I keep getting error code 86420 when trying to go out of my town. Which is weird since I haven't had any problems with NWFC before. Any thoughts? All the hardware is the same as before.

The host can hit Start and then "Save & Continue" and save for everyone.
 
is "save and continue" only available when people are visiting? I only get "save and end" during normal gameplay and when my gate is open with no visitors.

so what's the deal with planting fruit to grow a fruit tree? I planted about five of them but only 2 grew into saplings and the others disappeared. Does anyone know how it works? The only thing I can think of is that I planted them too close to each other and those 3 that went *poof* were too close together.
 
Does watering help them at all? I have a few that withered and watered them. Not sure if that did anything at all.
 
Planting close to rock, close the the underbrush stuff, and close to other trees will prevent growth (or so it was in the GCN version). A cocnut washed on shore today, so I planted it in a very nice spot and watered it. Hopefully the snow won't prevent it's growth. :0

Also, some guy sold me insurance for 3000 bells. Not sure what good it is, but I bought it.

I have just realized that you cannot decorate your upstairs. What's up with that?

I bought the insurance as well, and after I got stung by bees, he sent me a letter and 100 bells (yipee)

I'm going to be away a bit today but I'll have my gates open all day, I've added just about everyone in this topic, my info is posted in this topic!

PS: please bring me a fruit! all i have are apples, tons and tons of apples!
 
Does anyone know if stores plan on carrying the Nintendo Wi-fi adapter? Its a pain in the ass switching up my wired/wireless router (also, i cant use my wireless router while downloading torrents). SO i was planning on picking up one of these. I really dont wanna have to pay extra for shipping (and have to wait for it).

They are also going for $50-$70 on ebay, so definately not gonna save any money there, only bet would be for a store to carry it. Any news?
 
Hmm. So, is the only way to get new fruit to visit other towns or be visited? Because I can't use WFC (yet).

Well the other critters or your mom can mail you some fruit. I got an apple this way.
A coconut just washed ashore today, too.

But it's just more fun to tool around looking for stuff. Fruit just being the most prominent item for me at the moment.
 
I went fruit trading and got coconuts, apples, pears and oranges, anyone get the medical eye patch yet? It's hilarious, running around with that and the kimono and you like a reject from Ikki Tousen
 
Anyone's store have medicine? One of my neighbors is sick, and Nook is closed for his second remodeling. If anyone's store has some and they're willing to open their gates, or if they wanna drop some off in my town, let me know, I'd appreciate it.
