AC:WW Discussion Thread - Visits/Trades/etc.

Sorry to break the play date but my, friends wife locked their kid in the car. So I had to go use the ol slim jim to open the door.

Just a little update as to what I've been doing, I have finally got a foreign fruit bunch going, and once my trees grow I'll have 16 pear treees. They're all near my house, and all of them I cut down old trees and rpelanted. I'm thinking next time I'll cut down all my old Peach trees (or most), for my pears, and then randomly plant and hope for growth. Organization isn't a biggie right now.

In fact, all I care about is my debt, and collecting house pieces. After I get my mansion, however, I'll need a new hobby. No clue what it'll be, though collecting all the accessories from Able's sounds like a good choice. So does getting all wallpaper. Hopefully I'll get wifi by then! x_x
 
It's spring in my town and the snow is gone! WOO HOO! I didn't think spring started until March 1st in the game, so I got a welcome surprise when I turned on my DS this morning. Now if only it were spring in Ohio.
 
Yep. Someone mentioned on the AC forums that Spring started on the 25th. I caught some pretty rare fish around 2 or 3am. I don't like how the town looks. I liked the snow.

How do I put tiles/textures on the ground? I want to make a water world.

Open the menu when youre outside, select the pencil shaped icon at the top.
Should be able to figure the rest out.

SOOOOO glad its spring!!! Hated all this snow for so long, must be because im from Oregon and am used to green all the time.

I'm going on a little rant right now so read on if you like. I was going to be nice today and let people in while I was gone so I opened my gate and left it on while I did arrends today. I get back to find my saplings all cut down, a few of my big trees cut down. I know it was someone on here because thats the only people I added. I have deleted my friends list now, knowing I can't even trust the people here, good night and good luck.

I actually visited your town and was wondering why all the trees were cut down. I was going to ask you, but noticed you were in sleep mode... sux :(

Y'know, when I first heard that there would be no NES games, I was pretty disappointed, but I find I haven't missed them as much as I thought I would. Maybe I just have a lot more going on in the game, but I thought I'd be more disappointed than I am.
 
Well, Joan was sellin Trnips for 90-some bells today. Too much for me, as Nook only buys for 50-80 here (What the fuck?). Bought a red one, though, and I'm hoping to do well in the fishing tourney!
 
I bought 900 turnips...82,000 bells worth of'em...since I managed to get Nook as high as 140 one time, and some people have evne gotten 500! If someone...ANYONE...gets a great price for Turnips, please let me come over! I can finally expand my house if I make profit off these...

I found a patch today as well. I thought they only grew when your town was weedy, so I pulled them up.

My daughter had both clovers and dandelion puffs...
 
How do you know who won the fishing tourney? I had the biggest fish (44.4 inch sea bass) at 5, but totally forgot about it until about 6:20, and there was no indication of a winner. Now it's almost 7:30 and I still don't know. The last time there was a notic on the bulliten board. =\

you should be getting mail tommorow with your trophy if you won.

also, the dandelion puffs appeared during winter off and on, but never the clovers.
 
I won the fishing tourney with an 89. 2 inch tuna. What a waste, I didn't know how enormous these things are. I could've easily just gotten a sea bass and won. :D

I did that accidentally during the first tournament... oh well. At least this time I just turned in a sea bass and will probably win.

When I won last month I HAD to use a Tuna, because someone else beat out my sea bass with one, so it wasn't necessarily a waste on your part.

And I've NEVER seen a dandelion puff till today, just after winter ended, in either my town or my daughter's town. Wierd... Though I had 2 for a long time (and they never spread like I hoped they would because I thought they were inactive in winter) that Mirin gave me several weeks ago (and she was set to summer).

that sucks man, i leave my gate a open a lot while im afk... i guess ill have to be more cautious about it from now on...

speaking of opening gates, im going to open mine right now. i need someone to come visit and talk to whitney so she doesnt move, shes one of the ones i like.

You can definitely get villagers from towns not on your friends list. Most of my incoming villagers have been from towns I've never visited nor have on my friends list.

yeah, most of my villagers that moved in are from towns ive never been to and talk about people ive never met. on a related note, pecan is moving. that makes me happy, i dont hate her (like some of my recent movers) but i just dont need two female squirrels with the same attitude type. ive been hoping for a penguin since day 1... so lets keep our fingers crossed.

ive been wondering what to do with my fourth room, its kind of a mess right now. i was thinking about maybe turning it into a kitchen. so does anyone have some of the kitchen stuff, i know theres a fridge and stove at the very least, i think a microwave too.

I've got a deluxe range, sink, coffee maker, and automatic dishwasher you can cat. Once I get my next room, I think I'm going to put a kitchen in it as well so I have been collecting stuff.

OK, I'm pissed at Gracie. For one thing, she shows up for the first time in over a month today. Secondly, I thought if you got her stupid certifcate (though why she had to give me another today I don't know) and then bugged her, then gave her enough cash, she gave you something good? Last time she was here (some time in January) I didn't give her enough money and got something stupid, and someone on this thread suggested I give 5000.

Well, today I answered her stupid quiz, gave her 6000 bells, and she hooked me up with a Grandpa hat and a red check shirt, which is 320 bells at Ables. She made me look like some old geezer getting the Early Bird Special down at the Hofbrau. I'm officially insulted :lol:.
