So, in our league, can one forfeit a game? Toper and I have been trying to hook up but it's just not working and I'm moving soon and will need to box up the 360 tonight. If it just goes unplayed, what happens?

Yeah, sorry I missed you the last couple of days...if it's anything like previous 2k leagues, then I think a random winner is chosen (which is lame). No worries man, it's still early in the season. Have a safe move and let us know when you're back "online".
 
I went 16-0 in my season, blowing out most opponents. However, I have played my first round playoff game twice (trying to get the perfect season and championship achievements before returning it to my friend) and both times I have been intercepted in the 4th and gone down 10-7 on last second field goals. What a fucking screwjob.
 
Seen : I sent you a friend request to get some APF going. All though judging by your 1000 gamerpoints on the game and my 30, you'll probably kick my ass up and down the field.

I made a seperate thread for the league but no one would play any games or respond. If the league is still open, PM me and we'll try to get our games in.
 
well, based on the response so far we could have a four team tourney....would be cool to have atleast 8 teams for a 8gm season...but thats wishful thinking
 
I still play APF I just wish they would stop resetting the win loss records, I had 97 online wins then bam reset. Anyways PM me with any league or tourney info.
 
I really like the game, but today when I tried to start playing it again, it kept freezing!

It would freeze about every 20 minutes, making it impossible to play a full game.

The game worked fine on my old xbox (which RROD'd a few months later actually)

Could this be my "new" refurb xbox having freezing problems? I played burnout and guitar hero for as long as I could with no freezing like APF.

I had this problem myself the other day and nearly swore it was the disk. Anyhow. Delete the roster from your apf profile as it is a corrupt setting withing the game.
 
Deleting the roster fixed nothing.

I'm giving the game one more try (after I delete every APF2k8 file on my 360) before it goes to gamestop.

I hope they continue making this down the line (and given the title it looks like it). Does anyone know when Madden's contract with the NFL runs out? I've been playing a lot of NFL 2k5 and look forward to the competition again between these two.

The title sold a little under 200k for both PS3 and Xbox360 combined (I think it was an IGN podcast that said it). I imagine a good percentage of those were also after the price drops along the way.

I've always liked the way 2K does a few things in their football games, but the way the football "floats" has always bothered me. They've got the dropback feel for the QB perfectly though. I wish Madden would pick up on that.

EDIT: Oh, I see, I misread and thought that 2k5 only sold 200k.

Well, I'm sure it's a variety of reasons, but remember that 2k5 started at $20. I'm not sure what to attribute the low sales to really, I actually prefer it to Madden 08, how sad is that.
