Am I The only One sick of the "go green" propaganda?

I'd call your nephew a fatty to his face. Damn kid is probably bigger than Louie Anderson.

If he doesn't slim down, he can never follow the wise words of BudaSmoke and snag a sweet chick.

I disagree with you OP, well in a sense. I don't buy organic fruits n veggies (my Grandfather grows most of the veggies i need, so they are literally organic as it gets LOL).

anyways I am all for going green, just in a different manner... HEMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should be one of our primary resources (which United States is one of the ONLY countries who doesn't).... It really could help us, tremendously. Would be a ton of new jobs, environment friendly, and less expensive.
I don't know about Knoell (ok i guess I do from that post), but I see the growth of civilization including sources of power which don't damage the environment we all live in. How great can a civilization really be when it is poisoning the environment?
Look up any type of renewable energy you can think of, there is an activist against it. You may now say that well someone will always be against anything, and that could be true. However an environmentalist thinks in terms of the environment, and civilization as a second thought. There cannot be a renewable energy that stops the spread of humanity and the contamination it brings to the planet. This is why anytime any renewable energy becomes popular and profitable, it is demonized as bad for the environment, yet in some way all of these things are bad for the environment and the only solution is to use less. What do you think using less entails?
Sadly, at the end of the day it's all about saving jobs. Dirty energy creates more jobs than clean energy. The sun and wind don't need paychecks.
I wish the sun would power my home, and the wind would push my car to work for free.
Look up any type of renewable energy you can think of, there is an activist against it. You may now say that well someone will always be against anything, and that could be true.
Are you "arguing" that there is a statistically large amount of those against to matter?

However an environmentalist thinks in terms of the environment, and civilization as a second thought.

I have talked to many (actual) environmentalists who exist in a world outside the fevered imaginations of right wingers and they would say you were wrong.

There cannot be a renewable energy that stops the spread of humanity and the contamination it brings to the planet.

And your expertise is?

This is why anytime any renewable energy becomes popular and profitable, it is demonized as bad for the environment, yet in some way all of these things are bad for the environment and the only solution is to use less. What do you think using less entails?

Do you happen to know of the concept of peak oil?

Go green is just the new campagin people use as a slogan because it makes them feel good to feel like they are actually doing something and making a impact all while not having to do shit. Changing things for the better isnt shouting a slogan or handing out a pamphlet, real change is going to take sacrifice, effort, work and pain. No one wants to do that, they want the ego boost and elevation in self esteem without having to work for it.

Besides go green is all useless bullshit that will be gone in a few years and do nothing but waste out time and not change shit. Just like the war on drugs, the war on poverty, the war on racism now we have the war on energy consumption.

Problem is everyone wants change, but no one wants to change anything to get it. They want to think a tax break on their old fridge, or a go green bumper sticker will magicially make everything wonderful because in reality, they dont give a shit.

So we're currently watching the ocean die, and everyone just says "Gosh solar power wouldn't be a big deal anyway."

Awesome.

Yep the sun is dieing too you know.

Speaking of things I'm sick of, am I the only one sick of going to the doctor and them telling me that my diet of marlboro, budweiser and chee-tos is no good for me?

Get off your high horse already, doctor know-it-all.

Since then I only doctor I visit is Thunder. And he always tells me that I'm in great health, so long as I continue to drink his magical tonic.

And there's something that irritates me to know end; going to the doctor or dentist just to get a moral sermon. That shit about brushing to get under the gum line instead of dealing with the real problem (the aging of my DNA, immune system, and bacterial bio-films). Those witch doctors told me that my two bottom front teeth would pretty much explode about 12 years ago if I didn't get braces (my teeth are still here), so why pay them at all? Boycott those patronizing dentists, kill them and their insulting comedy routines.

dying wildlife
dying tourism business
dying seafood supplies

No one is saying that at all. Of course I'm not happy that the ocean is "dying" and what not, of course they should be held responsible.

I'm just tired of all these whiny, angsty-teens & hollywood bleeding hearts bitch about it. Justice will be surved.

I have faith that science will lift a few of us from this toilet to go forth and establish my moon colony. There we can use nuclear power just like in Space: 1999.
XD I don't think the moon has much helium.
Yeah, but just think of all the hydroponically-grown wheat we can harvest.
You sure you're not adding a few years in there friend?
Very sure of it. I'm sorry we can't be FB buddies because of the age difference. You might learn a thing or two from me. :)

/wants to be Rex_Banner's FB friend

We could be FBBFFs!

I didn't know there was only one ingredient in all natural sweet and sour chicken.
Lol at twitter and rage. I'm making sweet and sour chicken bitch.
I just had a steak worth about $45. That's two times your whole budget for a week ain't it?

You're a lucky man. The market was out of chicken bitch, so I settled on some fresh serrano peppers instead.
I eat steak everyday bitch.
You should really capitalize Steak's name. You don't want to hurt his feelings. Show some respect.
You mad cuz your loner ass ate steak alone?
Nah, not at all. My beautiful girlfriend eats dinner with me 4 days out of the week.

Watching bud and rex troll the other reminds me of the time my friend taught his two welsh corgis to play tug with each other and leave him the hell alone once in a while.

The VS thread hasn't been this active (or entertaining) since the election. It's like our very own stimulus package.

Strell is kind of like this thread's Howard Stern, he knows exactly how to stoke the fire to keep it roaring.

now that shit is funny. even buds should admit it.
