Amazon B2G1 on Blu-Ray

Gonna pick up "Curse Of the Golden Flower", "Warriors Of Heaven and Earth" and "Casino Royale" with maybe a few others. I wish "Tekkonkinkreet" was listed.
i have an amazon gc to use but i havent decided what to order anyways.. everything i want is pretty much an 08 release
Hadn't bagged the Sony stuff I wanted. If Curse and Warriors and Hustle were all the same price I'd pair them. :(

edit: $13.33 per if I pair it with Hustle. N/m I'm picking it up instead of Royale.

Yeah, even though the deal isn't advertised officially on the Blu-ray page yet, it's definitely in effect. You don't see the promotion applied in the cart, but rather in the order summary before you complete your order:

Items: $114.70
Shipping & Handling: $7.93
Promotion Applied: -$11.47
Super Saver Discount: -$7.93
Promotion Applied: -$31.90

Total Before Tax: $71.33
Estimated Tax:* $0.00
Order Total: $71.33

What are the chances that some of these go out of stock? I am going to wait till I get home from work before purchasing these. I want to sign up for the Amazon Credit card and get a bunch off from that too

My cart currently consists of:
TROY
BLADERUNNER
CRASH
BLOOD DIAMOND
DONNIE BRASCO
VACANCY

I'll probably be holding my breath a while, but I'm going to try to wait for a BOGO, or at least another b2g1 with more/newer titles. Money is really tight at the moment as I am in college and decided not to work this semester. I have 100$ set aside for "fun stuff" and will probably nab some PS3 games later as opposed to movies. The 3 major releases I want are still upcoming: Micheal Clayton, No Country for Old Men, and Gone Baby Gone. Almost sprung for Casino Royal, Pan's Labyrinth, and Weeds Season 2. A great deal nonetheless, though. Thanks OP.

Part of the reason I didn't buy was also due to the fact that I haven't seen any of the 3 movies I want to buy, but have heard overwhelmingly positive things about them. I have seen almost all the movies that are up on the current sale and or just know I won't like them. Only exception being Letters from Iwo Jima, which I plan to rent at some point. Gone baby gone and No country for old men I am dying to see in hd and see for myself what all the fuss was about =].

Iwo Jima was great and looked amazing in HD. I really want to get Flags of Our Fathers eventually when I can find a decent price on it to complete the experience.

I picked up Pan's Labyrinth, A Knight's Tale, and Bullitt to round out my random order. I had 18 in my cart, but I'm hoping they have another BOGO eventually since a good portion of those were Sony titles.

Great deal, great selection. Just picked up Pan's Labyrinth, Blade Runner, and Troy for less than $53 shipped. Wo0t!!

Thank you for posting this.

So in the end I paid $76.74 for 6 Blu-Ray movies.

Pretty Good Deal. It comes out as $12.79 per movie.

Damn, I recently ordered -8- of the qualifying movies prior to this deal. You think Amazon would toss a brother a bone? I could have gotten 4 free flicks!!!
Has anyone seen Weeds? I'm tempted to pick up both seasons since it got a good review on hidefdigest.
It's an awesome show. I purchased both seasons on a blind buy a few months back and loved them. I can't wait for season three to be released.

Yeah Weeds is a really great show... SUPER PUMPED for Season 3.

The cast is great. A lot of laughs and you grow (no pun intended) to love them after just the first few episodes.

At one point, I was ordering about 15 titles...cut that down to a solid 6. I convinced myself that I should watch some of my movies before I ordered much more than 6.

If you get more than 3, make sure to get them in separate orders separated by price tiers, otherwise you'll just get the lowest priced ones in your cart as the free ones.

Tip of the day. I calculated the prices in my head as I was rounding up my 6. The end total gave me a $31 dollars off instead of 41. Still waiting to get home before I put the order thru tho

Thanks for the info. Too bad "Black Book" and "Tekkonkinkreet" aren't in this deal. :(

I wanted to get Spirits Within' but no other prices are comparable in terms of movies I want. Same with "Hairspray". I pair that up with Weeds S2 but then I can't find a 3rd movie around the same price I'm really interested in getting.

If it was within 30 days, it would fall within their 30 day price guarantee. Just send them an email for the order and you should get a nice credit to your CCARD.

Wait...when the hell did Amazon start charging tax?!

Click on the various Genres and a lot more good stuff comes up. Blade Runner, Pan's Labyrinth, and all of the Kubrick stuff is up there. I just picked up 3 Kubrick movies for about $34 (10% off HD stuff is still applying for me, and it takes it off the ENTIRE total before it applies the free movie). If I didn't already own Pan's Labyrinth (and Blade Runner on HD-DVD, boo), I would've gotten those in a heartbeat as well.

I knew Amazon was going to do a decent bluray sale when I was broke. xD

Hopefully they still have Blade Runner and Pan's Labyrinth in stock on my payday (Friday). I'll think of something else to get for free by then. Thanks OP. ^.^
They only charge tax in certain states, like Washington I believe.
They charge tax in the states where they have some physical presence, which is a few states. They list the states in their Help / FAQ somewhere.

is the 10% off a coupon code? or an amazon prime thing?

Awesome deal! Had to pick up Casino Royale and two classics: The Fifth Element and Seven Years in Tibet. Made sure I read the reviews to make sure people were enjoying the HD part of these movies, otherwise I would've gone to the cheaper versions on DVD!

To be honest, I'm not sure why it's still working. I bought an HDTV from them in late 2006 which came with a deal for "10% all HD titles in 2007". Well, it's still active for 2008, and I'm not complaining. At checkout, it just automatically deducts 10%.

For awhile they were running it in 2007 that you could buy 3 HD movies and get 10% off the rest of your HD movies for the rest of the year. I never read anything that said it'd continue into 2008, but here I am, still reaping the benefits. =)

Anyone need just one of the Sopranos sets? I'd like to order both but need something to match it with in that price range and there really isn't anything else. Thinking like $70 shipped for whichever one you want. PM me if interested.

Ordered Weeds S1 and S2 and Blade Runner for $54.90. Seems like a deal to me. Been looking at getting Weeds for a while but never seen the show. Hope its good.

Okay. I'm removing CAG off of my favorite lists. You guys are too evil! I just made three orders this week because of some good deals. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles the other day, Die Hard Collection (Blu-Ray) out of feeling like it, and now this deal comes up. Blade Runner, Last Samurai, and House of the Flying Daggers. I need to stop spending before I my tax return check is gone. lol

I think you can get them a lot cheaper on ebay or Amazon, so I don't know if anyone would take you up on that one. I have a Sopranos set that I thought I'd be able to unload for a good bit of cash but they sell like shit. So, I'm pretty much stuck with it unless I can sell it for ~$40.

Well, I took advantage and ordered the Harry Potter movies 3, 4, and 5. Also picked up 1 HD movie - Phantom of the Opera. Not the greatest of deals overall but all four for $60 is an average of $15/movie...not horrible.

Think of this as early spending of your $600 rebate that's coming early this summer. America WANTS you to spend it. You wouldn't want to let America down, would you? ;)

Thanks, I'm in for The Departed, Goodfellas and a free copy of Reservoir Dogs, my Blu-ray collection just grew by 300% lol
How is this "Weeds" show? I've never heard of it. Was it on HBO or FX or something?
