Amazon's site is garbage to navigate for these deals. I hope not everything is run from the Gold Box piece of the site. Anytime I try to add anything to my cart, it goes back to regular price.
 
Anyone else think that Amazon could be using these lightning deals to test demand for certain games, only to sell the games at the same or slightly more reduced prices come Black Friday?

Perhaps they'll push it up - that way I'll know for sure whether I was able to get it before it went OOS; otherwise I can (shudder) hit Walmart on Friday.

After placing my RB2 order, I didn't know Amazon had sent me a 5 dollar promo code. This makes it even better! Just pointing that out for those who didn't know.

It's called the DSi XL. There is nothing really new about it other than the fact the screen is going to be bigger, little more than an inch bigger diagonally I believe. I want a DS really badly but I am waiting for the new XL to come out. It's suppose to come out in the first quarter of 2010.

The DSi XL will more than likely cost more than $169.99 when it launches next year in the US. The DSi LL is currently ~$25 more than the current DSi in Japan so it figures that the US version will be around ~$200.

This DSi comes with 3 DSiWare games and two useless utility apps. The 3 games aren't bad and for free you really can't beat that. Plus the price is $15 less than MSRP another bonus.

And on top of that the DSi is compact as the DSi XL is the size of the Xbox 360/PS3 game case... ok maybe not that big folded but it won't fit in your pocket unless you're uh... wearing really big pants...

Because the new one is the fucking huge.
 
It's all personal preference. I like the fact that the screen is bigger. Looking at a smaller screen tends to give me bad headaches.

This iteration isn't your typical upgrade with new functionality. The XL is only bigger and with a more expensive price tag - which is aimed at the old people market, and doesn't make much sense if you have good eye sight and want to use it as a portable device.

Just because it is newer does not mean it is better or more suited to you.

I hope it's just to match it to Wal-Mart or Meijer's deals (throwing in a blu-ray). If I have to go out for that deal on Friday, I'll be a very sad panda.

Are you sure it's at 3 AM EST? Because the real deals for today didn't go live until much later. I believe it was 12 PM EST.

Yep, BUT you get the list, or at least the hints, at midnight. Then you can determine if there's anything you'd be remotely interested in. Though, if today was any indication, probably not!

Plus I think the DJ Hero deal goes live at midnight Pacific...
 
I'll stay up late tonight just because I want to see what time the DJ Hero deal goes live. But after last night, I am not expecting any video game deals to go live at 3AM.

i was about to cop that amazon slimer ghostbuster game for the ps3 and buy the ps3 slim with 2 games on amazon on friday..

the deal is still going?
also someoen said walmart had a sameish deal with the ps3 and 2 games.

can i get more info on both? walmart and amazon

Walmart is + Dark Knight BR, Batman: AA, and I think something else.

Amazon will probably top BB and WM, regardless.

oh man my new hdtv is going to be radiating awesomeness this Friday.

also i never been to a doorbuster before. i am going with my cousin she is going to drive us there.
how does it work? get in line and wait for an employee to give you a "ticket"?
that is how i heard it is.

DJ Hero is $99.99 right now. What does Amazon usually sell it for? I've been interested but not at $120 so i've been waiting for and expecting a drop. I resisted the $89.99 deal and can't find a $60 used GS copy. I'd just in for sure at/near that price point.

AND they have the $40 credit going as well for a future game purchase. So I guess it IS at my $60 point right now. :D Maybe i'd even get the credit in time to use on friday. :D

edit 2: $99.99 is not Amazon but is from J&R MUSIC + shipping....
 
360 version of DJ Hero is 99.99 on amazon ATM... looking at camelcamelcamel this price is new within the last few hours... so this the BF deal price ya think?

Im pretty sure the credit doesnt count unless amazon is the seller. Which they arent. Its sold by a third party.

Yea i just had noticed my mistake! They tricked me with the $99.99 price as well. It's $99.99 from J&R MUSIC WORLD + shipping. Amazon is $119.99 with $40 future purchase code.
 
not being shipped by amazon, so no prime and I'm not entirely sure the 40 dollar credit will work either. almost had me if prime +djhero10 + 40 dollar off card + 10 dollar mario credit were gonna all work
 
I dreaded workin on black friday @ walmart and I've seen alot worse than what that video showed. The funny/sad thing is that walmart expect it's employees to act like security during all this.

The $40 'Hero Bundle' credit is supposed to last until the 27th, so I assume it will stack with whatever price they have on DJ Hero tomorrow...
