no wrong.. door buster deals are in-store only. Yes, there will be black friday deals that you can get online but the door busters are obviously called that because they are in-store only.

Awesome! This is what every thread is like. I don't even bother trying to answer people most of the time because someone else will ask the same question 5 seconds later without reading any of the previous responses.

I also say, "meh" to that Batman: AA CE deal. I don't really need a huge piece of plastic junk. Although apparently the regular edition comes with no manual since it's a bonus item for the CE.

Didn't they make the doorbusters available to rewards zone silver members yesterday, too?
 
Personally, I'm still a little unsure to buy Borderlands right now or wait till another possible price drop. I'm also a little worried that if i don't buy Demon Souls right now that copies will eventually become scarce.

No, it definitely is not. Doorbuster deals are usually deals they have in limited quantities and only offer in stores.

No, you're 100% wrong. Plenty of Best Buy doorbusters have been and most likely will continue to be available online, including the games. While they often sell out very quickly most of the time they ARE offered online, often on Thanksgiving Day rather than Friday. In fact, there was a page linked on slickdeals yesterday which showed most of the doorbuster items and said specifically that they will be available online on Thursday...including the $34.99 games.

Don't take my word for it, but in the past, new games dropping down to that exact price ($44) have been in the lightning deals in the next few days in the past for less.

Well, evidently us troglodytes (who don't have a Mac) can't see the "video games lightning deals" section - including me. I have that page up on Windows both IE 7 & FF 3.5 and NEITHER of them show this section of that page. I had a buddy look at it on his Mac (using FF 3.5) - and it shows up just fine.



So if there are countless of us trogs complaining, there probably isn't a problem with typing or clicking - but with the page rendering, Mr. / Ms. Super Genius.

And FWIW, it's not showing up on Mac using Opera. It is with Firefox, and I haven't tried with Safari.
 
I'm honestly not liking Amazon's sales this year. It seems like several things they're already matching other stores, but doing so in the lightning deal format means there's absolutely no way I can get in on anything.

This is making me think Amazon will be a big ball of let down when BF actually arrives. :( Baaaah!

Seems to be the theme for retailers this year.

From what I've read, they've all tried their hardest to reduce inventory all year to cope with the sluggish economy.

If they've reduced inventories to adequate levels, they should feel no pressure to dump items below what they feel comfortable with.

I haven't really found a single deal in any ad that's made me say wow.

It does not show up in Opera on Windows 7 either. I have IE open to view the lightning deals thing.

Yeah, I haven't seen many that made me go wow. A couple good TV deals and such, but I'm not camping for those. Most that I've been wanting are moderately good video game deals, which I've already seen a few on Amazon.

But, I can't sit at a computer for 18 hours a day just to watch their damn lightning deals. So I've missed every single one. :bomb:
 
Assassins Creed 2 already has a deal going on?

No idea what you guys are talking about when it comes to no good deals, I've noticed a whole lot in the fliers that have been released already. Maybe you're just looking for freebies at this point.

You're trying to hawk something that's actually cheaper on eBay. But anyways, a suggestion for you...you can ship it directly to whoever is dumb enough to take you up on the offer directly from your account and forego shipping costs altogether.
 
I actually like the format of these days slightly better than last year since we get clues ahead of time and don't have to get up in the middle of the night. With that being said I'm definitely down for a $40 or less Assassin's Creed 2.

I was wondering ,what were the deals like for 360s last year for Amazon?

Kinda looking forward to getting an Elite and I'm hoping Amazon's will be the best , otherwise Target's 50 dollar gift certificate seems to be the best deal in my area.

Especially not when plastik fantastik versions of games sell out in minutes at about the same price the game-only version can be had every day.
 
Have I missed Arkham Asylum? I am so down for that for $40 or less on PS3 and I'll go $30 or less on 360.

I'm still waiting for that FIFA 10 deal too!
