I was able to capitalize well on yesterday's deals thanks to my Discover Card and the Buy $80 Get $40 deal from last month.

When that deal appeared, I bought:

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)
A Boy and His Blob (Wii)

for $83 shipped and got $40 credit. Yesterday, I bought:

Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360)
Klonoa (Wii)
Tales of Symphonia (Wii)
Blue Dragon Plus (DS)
Boom Blox Bash Party (Wii)

for $28 shipped after $40 promotional credit, $10 Discover discount, and $5 Lightning Deal discount. Just now I listed and immediately sold Left 4 Dead 2 on half.com for $46, or $40 after commission, (as an aside, not sure why anyone bought it from me at that price since it's currently $40 on Amazon, but I'm not complaining), so that brings my total for the other 6 games to $61 shipped. I'm happy.

Same here. I was hoping games like Fight Night Round 4, Ghostbusters, Battlefield Bad Company, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Prince of Persia and Civilization Revolution would get price drops. I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck and buying older games is the best way to do that.

I ended up buying used copies of BBC, Civ Rev and RSV2 from Gamestop for Buy One Get One Free (came out to $12 a game) since it looks like a price drop on those games at Amazon isn't going to happen.

Still got my fingers crossed for Ghostbusters, FNR4 and PoP since I have a $20 Amazon credit I'd like to use.

There was some question earlier as to how the games in these PS3 bundles were being packaged. Just opened my Gamestop bundle, both Little Big Planet & Gow of War Collection are in seperate cases just like normal retail. Just no UPC code with a not for resale tag instead.

It's a safe bet that it'll be whatever the lowest price you've seen it at is. Amazon is taking the lazy route this year and instead of having some great deals that sell out in minutes, they're just price matching everyone else's bad deals that sit for the allotted time.

The deal is still active but not all games qualify. I believe some manufacturers did not want to be included in the deal.

I hope so. If it's not it looks like I won't be buying anything from Amazon today. The sales seem to be pretty solid (especially ODST and Forza 3), but some of them could be found easily at Best Buy and other places (woke up casually this morning, went to Best Buy and still found copies of Fallout 3 for $20, Dragon Age for $35, and Resi 4 for $20). Others, like Pure and the KZ2 Lightning deal were outdone by NewEgg's pricing.

Overall, good sales but not as spectacular as I was expecting (at least so far)

odst doesn't qualify. forza does though. the promotion has to be listed on the product's page.
