I have the Magnavox $68 blu-ray player from last year, and it does what it needs to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

I abuse the shit out of it with movies and it works great.

So I'd say go for it.

But Amazon has so many other blu rays deals coming so I am a little happy I guess.
 
Nice to know amazon will be doing other deals in the normal dvd and BR section, but im scared if its gonna have limited quantities, yesterday bought Metroid other M in lighting deal, only lasted 3 min , so please Amazon PM Walmart and have loats of it.
 
The Harry Potter 1-6 blu is now $70...all I know is Amazon better offer it next week for lower than yesterday's $49.99 price, otherwise that would be some serious bullshit.
 
In for PREDATORS and SAVING PRIVATE RYAN on Friday (was going to try and grab these at Best Buy anyways so...), and depending on the price, maybe LOST: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION (I already own all 6 seasons on Blu-ray, so I dont REALLY need this... or do I?).

And regardless of price, definately picking up the BACK TO THE FUTURE Trilogy on Cyber Monday. I am ashamed that I haven't picked it up sooner...

I would not be surprised nor disappointed if it didn't go lower than $49.99. In the past they had DotDs that were more expensive than the lowest price before (Band of Brothers comes to mind).
Last year the special edition DSi were available for regular price days before Black Friday and everybody thought they would be discounted on Black Friday but all that happened was that they were sold out on Black Friday (no additional discounts).
 
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the LOTR Blu Trilogy will be $7.99 at Target for Black Friday. Quantities will be very low and of course no rain checks.

Each of the three LOTR blus will also be $7.99.

Edit: Target is just going to honor the ad picture mistake instead of going through the hassle of saying no on B-Day

Care to say who said this will be tha case? Just the fact alone that they know it is a mistake pretty much guarantees now they will have a sheet of paper out stating the mistake and that it is for the individual titles and not the trilogy.

Your edit to me at least is simply wishful thinking at best unless you can provide some proof to it. Target knowing the mistake is not going to take that kind of loss, even if say for 1 or 2 copies in a store.

Sorry about the confusion. I meant to include for the duration of the sale period. From what I have been told Target will not price adjust, but it could be extreme YMMV.

For those that aren't sure, you could always buy the trilogy this weekend and try for an adjustment. If they don't adjust you could maybe return and re-buy over the weekend.

According to a user on the Blu-Ray.com forums whose wife is a Co-Manager at Walmart, they are supposedly adding more DVDs to their sale. It will probably include movies that will be on sale at Target and Best Buy so people won't have to price match.

Dont know but this could work , at the bottom of your searched product theres a tell us about a lower price, already leaved feedback on Karate Kid, District 9, and hopefully they will lower the price on Oldboy and 28 weeks later, waiting forever on a price drop on those.

It's not false, the trilogy will be $7.99 on blu and each individual blu LOTR movie will be $7.99 per a message from corporate on the Target Workbench.
 
Kinda surprised at all lotr discussion. The forums I visit it has to be one of the most hated BR's I seen according to responses. Seems the transfer is terrible and even more still who can watch these after the amazing EE's at any price?
