Opinions on smallville? Is it corny as hell or actually good?
Smallville has been my favorite show for the past 10 years. The earlier seasons are kind of corny because they involve Clark's earlier years in high school, and him discovering his powers. The later seasons are more mature, and have him fighting better villains and teaming up with other superheroes.

So yea its good. I'm picking up Season 9 at 7:30. :)
To everyone responded to Shrike, it sounds as though the person was asking about Best Buy. Shrike said Best Buy and Target will not be PMing Black Friday.
Just reread it and sounds like he is, deleted post.

Saw this on another forum, It is the greatest Black Friday find so long as this is a legit piece of info. The poster is a known Target employee. Stash under the dog food or buy and return.

Can you get in trouble at Target for stashing things under the dog food?
Ok, so if it's for the 2 day sale, can we do a price adjustment? It's not a doorbuster, right?
It will have to be a return and rebuy

Or I can go and PM over at Walmart on Thursday! Sweet

I want to return and rebuy but last time I tried to do this they told me I had to wait for the person at the customer service desk to take it back to the shelf before I could rebuy it,has anyone had this issue before?

I've ran into that before, Joker. It's a crapshoot.

Will Walmart think it's too ridiculous of a deal to PM? I'd hate to get into an arguement with them about the legitimacy of the ad. Also, they'll tell me to come back at 4AM if I try to do it at midnight, right?

EDIT: Walmart.com says the trilogy isn't sold in stores. Is this true or has anyone seen the trilogy sold in b&m Walmart stores?

I only returned and tried to re-buy 1 time at Target and she let me do it at the counter. But I can see them being dicks about it on BF/Saturday.

If you purchase the LOTR trilogy pack today or tomorrow, a return/rebuy won't be necessary.

Here's Target's official in-store price adjustment policy:

• If Target advertises a lower price either the same week or the week following your purchase, bring in your original sales receipt to Guest Services for an adjustment.

• Exclusions: Price adjustments are not made for clearance prices or Target.com prices.
There is nothing in their official policy preventing 'pre-purchases' of sale items.

I've been to quite a few Targets that showed as having the trilogy set :br: in stock on the Target android app, and the most I saw on shelves was 3 sets. I believe once the # of items drops below 3, it will show on the app as 'limited availability'.

I got my LOTR trilogy pack already purchased and will go on Friday or Saturday to get the price adjustment.

Well that is new

just bought my LOTR today at target.

people on SD ( yes i said it) are going apeshit on target's westinghouse tv and will be doing a price adjustment on friday.

Hrm, my local Target has the LOTR trilogy "available" supposedly. Probably worth picking up, and just return it if worst comes to worst. I needed to go out Saturday morning anyway so it's probably worth the shot.

I already ordered the 3 movies from Amazon but I think in this case it's worth the return postage if it all comes together properly.

The store near me has it available also. This is worth trying. It's a win-win the way I see it. Either they honor the ad and I get all 3 movies for $8 (definitely worth breaking my double-dip policy for) or they don't and I get my $75 back. Genius idea, guys. That's why I love CAG.

Edit: Got my copy. Looks like only one is left on the shelf too.

Ok, Quick question...might be stupid. But since the Mad Men Blu Rays aren't blocked off yet on Bestbuy.com...

If I purchase Mad Men Seasons with in store pick up will I be able to PM/return and rebuy on Friday/Saturday over at Best Buy?

Pretty funny. My wife just called me from Target and she told me the lady told her that she is able to price adjust on BF, and I thought about this thread and it looks like some are doing the same. We'll see how it goes, good luck to everyone.
I am not seeing the Smallville sets for $9.99. Anyone else having problems?
Most of them, if not all of them, appear to be sold out at the moment.
So what seasons are the best for Smallville? Don't feel like dropping $90, but I wouldn't mind picking up 4 or 5 seasons.
I think the best season was Season 3. If you were picking 4 or 5 seasons, I'd just go with the first 4 or 5 then. Doesn't make sense to get Season 1, Season 4, Season 6, etc. You'd be missing out on a lot of storyline development.

Good to know, I might pick them up the next time they're this cheap. I did get Seasons 5, 7, 8 and 9 since those were the only ones left in stock at the time.

Found one slightly beat up (thanks for the spider-wrap :p) LOTR trilogy, at the store that said (and still says) "Available". Not sure if they got swarmed, or if the good ones are hiding in the back. But if I pull off getting it for $7.99 I won't care a whole lot. ;) Didn't Target pull BF deals off the shelves a few days early last year?

Strange thing, the guy wanted to see my credit card and ID after the receipt printed. Not sure if he realized he blew it or what, I tried to just take the bag and walk away, saying the transaction was done but he got a bit worked up. Just seemed a bit strange.

SO, if this works-- what's the cheapest way to mail back the 3 LOTR movies to Amazon? ;) I don't want to refuse it or claim they're defective, since Amazon's been good-- just want to mail it back as cheaply as possible, not using Amazon's overprice shipping labels. Is media mail going to get it there in time?

Sorry to say, you got the worst ones.

I've been watching the show from the beginning.
I can summarize it like this.
Seasons 1 and 2: Freak of the week storylines. Meet random town person that has some power, and Clark one ups him, and that's it for the show. Each show is separate, and there really wasn't a concrete overarching story.
Season 3 and 4: In seasons 3 and 4 the freak of the week is diminished greatly, and we see a move toward story arch storytelling. Where each episode, while there may be an occasional freak, the problem at hand propels the story further. It actually worked super well these two seasons, and in my opinion those are the two seasons to get.
Seasons 5, 6, and 7 continued this trend...but ultimately, I felt that each season got progressively worse from this point on.
At the end of Season 7, in my opinion, one of the best actors on the show left, and the show has never been the same since.
Seasons 8 and 9 have made me roll my eyes more than ones and episode, and were barely passable.
Currently Season 10 is probably the best out of 7, 8, 9 and 10...which is a good thing because this is the last season, and it should go out on a "relatively" high note.

Don't get me wrong, the show is good, but i think most people can agree that it shouldn't have gone out to 10 seasons.

You literally can watch seasons 1-4, just stop and tell yourself, well...then he becomes Superman, and you wouldn't have missed anything.

Just refuse the shipment? I thought you don't get charged return shipping in that case.

The show has gotten better the last two seasons, which coincides with the departure of the show's creators.

Agreed...those middle seasons though...man those were the dark times.
Hoping for 20 or less on Spartacus:B&S Blu-Ray....Amazon is pretty much killing any reason I had to go out on BF with their list of games/movies.
Same here. I'm expecting $19.99, and hope they don't consider $29.99 to be a BF deal (it's currently $34.99).

Dammit, I was going to just get the DVD's for $2 a pop from Amazon. Now I basically have to at least try and get the PM on this deal.

The only thing is, the price difference might be too great that the cashier will have to call over the manager and they might try to deny it because of the price difference.

Well Amazon has started to PM certain Blus like Wolfman, Shes out of my league, and Get Him to the Greek for $10. They also have Taken and Wanted for $8.
