Hi CAGs,

I'll be posting deals we're running on Digital Games (PC/Mac, Free to Play, Sony/Microsoft Points/Subs).

I'm also here to answer questions you might have, get you closer to the developers by hosting Q&As, setting up podcasts, live streaming gameplay etc. If I don't respond to a question you have in thread please send me a PM. These ping my email address and make it more likely that I will see your question and respond more quickly.

FYI. EA Games sold by Amazon will not activate on Steam.

F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

To check out the Free-2-Play games we offer you can visit our storefront here:

Oh catch it then, our Prototype 1 is not Steam.

Cheers,
Tony
It's Halloween, where is the Halloween sale!

Oh no! Valve Time is contagious!
Lol, sorry about the confusion, I kept meaning to update the thread here and have just fallen behind. We decided to go with depth rather than breadth on this sale and just stick with high impact deals rather than 50+ "OK" ones.

If you check out the Deal of the Week page it contains our deals for today.

Cheers,
Tony

I don't see anything new...

There is nothing new. I think it's just Darkness II, DS Bundle, and Sims Supernatural.

A bit disappointing, but there are plenty of other places holding sales today so no shortage of stuff to buy.
Hey Tony, can you give any hint as to when the Prototype sale will happen?
We've got Prototype planned for the week after next, next week we'll have:

www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009YL65Q4 for $13.99.

We talked about this quite a bit internally, based on past performance it just wasn't worth it to include a boatload of titles for Halloween, understanding that there would be 3-5 meaningful titles (which are now on sale).

Cheers,
Tony

Thx a bunch tony. Heck 12 bucks for prototype 2 isnt bad
The usual question: Any chance of getting Steam keys for this?
If you go to their seperate product page, they all list as steam required titles.

Tony, based on my past performances I tend to buy a lot of games if they're on sale for halloween. Just being transparent.

Cheers,
sunghost

I couldn't resist, please don't kill me ;)

Also, loving the name of that Lego pack.
The usual question: Any chance of getting Steam keys for this?
If you look at the pages for each of the games sold from amazon is says

STEAM Client required to activate above the system specs.

EDIT: Beat'd by Gomikeoh

I LOVE the Lego Games and will be picking this pack up as soon as it goes live next week!!!!

I agree. Halloween just isn't a big enough event for throwing a massive sale. We can't really complain, Tony still got an awesome price on Darkness II [STEAM has it for $12.50, gamefly for $7.50].

Thanks for the awesome work Tony! :applause: I'll be picking up some Darkness today :D

They are all steam keys :)

Thanks. Usually I would have done this before asking, but for some reason I just assumed the LEGO franchise would never be Steam required. Obviously, I was wrong.

Totally in on the Harry batman pack. Finally a bundle where I don't own 90% of the games!!

Also gonna have to curb my game buying...very soon. Turns out one slipped past the goalie.....ill have a little one coming in 8 months. :)

Congrats, although that is not a replacement for tent cat.

That just means you have 8 months to go crazy buying games to supply you for when you wont be able to buy anymore.

Hey guys, I also wanted to let you know about "Forge", an up and coming game we're really excited about. In a nutshell, this game is like Counterstrike with swords and magic. I played it at Pax and really enjoyed it. If you like Dungeon Defenders, CS, SMNC, etc, you'll probably dig this game.

We are pre-selling the game right now, which will give you access to the closed beta as well as a full retail copy at launch, and some unique stuff to use in the game.

The super relevancy here is that the promotional offering though. From now through 12/31 you can buy a 2 pack for $19.99 ($10 for a brand new, not yet released game), or $29.99 for the 4 pack ($7.49). These guys asked me what my recommendation was for launch promotions on Amazon.com so I told them we should go nuts and try something completely new.

Here's what the press who played it at Pax had to say:

GamesRadar - "FORGE looks like it'll be a great romp for gamers looking to test their skills without investing hours into acquiring gear before they can compete.

MMORPG.com - "Face-Punchingly Good PVP... I can tell you that while Forge may be difficult to describe to the uninitiated, its gameplay will be instantly comfortable to aficionados of the MMO and FPS/TPS genres."

MASSIVELY -"...there's a lot to love about Forge, and I think that anyone who gives the game a fighting chance will find something about it to keep him around... I think Forge definitely deserves our attention."

Penny-Arcade - "It?s every bit Team Fortress 2 as it is World of Warcraft, but somehow it all feels tight and solid in design. Classes feel balanced, game play is smooth and familiar, and the overall visual aesthetic is rich in detail and life."

Cheers,
Tony

Get all the gaming you can in now.

Picked up the Dead Space bundle. I was tempted by the Sims 3 Supernatural...but I can wait for 75%+. Thanks for the deals, Tony. Any thoughts on a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle?

Dear god, what other deals can I tell the world about today? =0
Get all the gaming you can in now.
I second this suggestion. Kids are a joy, but they really don't mix with gaming well, so take advantage of the free time you have now. And congratulations!
Any thoughts on a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle?
I assume it would be a harder bundle to set up (if it's even possible) as Clear Sky doesn't have the same publisher as SoC and CoP.
I assume it would be a harder bundle to set up (if it's even possible) as Clear Sky doesn't have the same publisher as SoC and CoP.
Yeah, that is why you never see the bundled on Steam or anything.

At the most you will see a SoC and CoP bundle.

Well, I took a gamble last night that your Prototype 1 was gonna be a steam copy and I sold the copy that I bought the other day for a dollar less than I paid for it. :(

Looks like it's time to go back & re-buy Prototype 1.

This used to be true but steam worked it out for the last summer sale.

You can register and play in the beta for two weeks if you're on the fence about whether you'd like it; here's the link.

Please do and then come back and share your thoughts :). Like I said, I thought it was super fun.
