F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.
Does anybody know the tiers for the condition of games?

and how have you guys received PS3 games that have been labeled "Like New"?

everything included and how badly scratched?
just received like new DA2 signature edition- came resealed, game brand new condition and both codes worked.

i might've been lucky but thats just how it goes. tiers for games is like new, very good, good, acceptable. usually it tells you whats included/missing in the description.
^^^ Can't find the Bronze XL yet. Here's a link to "just arrived" matte black DSi systems. $95.99 for acceptable. Not terrible.

This black DSi is most likely the one that I sent back. I knew it was in acceptable condition but I was hoping it was just in a different box and was like newish. However, it was definitely used. Playable for sure, yes, but I was looking for something closer to new.

It had a bunch of crumbs and dust everywhere. It did have a screen protector...it is just too bad it was used after there were a bunch of noticeable scratches on the screen that you could feel while using the stylus. Not in horrible shape, but I was crossing my fingers for something a little better...so just buy knowing this.

Love the thread, thanks to everyone who contributes.

Thank you for the input guys. I really need to get my PS3 collection up and running since I just got my PS3. This looks like the great spot to do it.

Also, what would this line mean:

"Cleaning and repair was done as required"

do they put it as a disclosure, or did actually do this?

its in "like new" condition but i wouldn't a game that was repaired.

I can use my trade in credit, correct?

Might indicate resurfacing, I'm not sure. What kind of listing are you seeing this on? Don't recognize it.

Yeah, trade in credit is full amazon credit. Works for anything sold through them.

I think its just a disclosure.

I've searched for other games and they seem to have that line as well.

The ones done by AWD include that.
Just went back and looked at a few of the recent listings I bought and apparently that is common on like new listings. I've never noticed that any of them are resurfaced or altered in anyway. Resurfacing is something 99% of blu-rays don't need.
Yup, I'm gonna go ahead and bit on this. Thanks for your input.
Really? I think the Red 25th aniv. Mario XL looks the sharpest. Plus I am a sucked for stuff like that haha :) However I will say I really like the midnight blue alot too.
I think I just like darker colors more, since they distract me less. The mario XL doesn't look bad, but it looks a bit too bright for my taste.

I really hope my like new XL is not like that lol, for description it said "Item may come repackaged or box may show signs of wear & tear" I am REALLY hoping that it's just a beat up box, never been used. Anyone have any experience with like new systems with descriptions like that?

It's probably going to be in an OEM box.
OEM = ? Thanks :)
OEM isn't really appropriate here but he basically means repackaged. Brown or white box, the kind of thing youd get a refurb unit placed in.

Might get lucky and get a dinged up box inside of a larger brown box... never know.

Thanks. Ya I am really hoping for a dinged up, never been open box lol. Either way as long as the system is in Mint condition with no dead pixels I'll be fine with it. Btw since I got the Mario Kart Bundle and it never said anything about the game missing, or being repackaged, I am going to keep my fingers crossed. Also for shipping weight it shows up as 3lbs which is the same exact weight of a new Mario Kart XL bundle :) Thursday just get here already.

Interesting AWD delivery day for me...

got my Killzone 3 bundle. It was brand new and sealed, with a slightly creased corner (like the very edge of the cardboard caught on something)

got my Sharpshooter. Not entirely sure if it was a return or not, as there was some extensive taping on one end, but the item itself was in pristine condition. Might as well have been new.

Got Dragon Age 2 Signature Edition, entire case was crushed, and I am pretty sure it wasnt brand new. Strangely enough, it was in a poly bag with the 3rd party "Like New" sticker on the bag itself. What codes came with the PS3 version? I think someone may have taken the codes out, crushed the case then returned it to Amazon. The only code I saw was for the soundtrack/online pass. Was there a separate code for the rest of the DLC? Also, can you verify if the codes were used without actually redeeming them? I was planning on getting the game for my brother, and I don't want to give him non-working codes but also don't want to accidentally redeem them on my console either =\

so it was you who got the kz3 bundle!!! luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
anyways, DA2 signature has 2 codes, 1 for soundtrack and 1 for online pass (one code on each side of insert card). the online code gets you the sig. codes and then if u register the upc on bioware site u get a bunch of other items. u can check the code on psn (assuming u got ps3 version). u just go to redeem code and then enter it, if its still valid a disclaimer will come up and ask u to continue. i got mine from amz wd and it was described like new, with no mention of repackaging and it came brand new. it even arrived in the cardboard folder packaging. did u get the "very good" or "acceptable" one that said it had been repackaged? i remember there being 2 available, my like new one and then either a very good or acceptable.

I got the acceptable one I believe. I'm not entirely sure because I get into the habit of buying first, and thinking later when it comes to AWD. What I need to start doing is opening a new tab so I can add it to my cart and still have the description available.

Thanks for the heads up on the codes, it appears they were complete then. May not have been a return after all. If the codes work, maybe I'll just get the regular edition of the game brand new to give to my brother instead of hunting around for another signature edition.

yeah it had to be acceptable which explains the crushed case. you can get the regular one from amz with $15 promo now, but if u really wanna get ur bro the sig edition, i have a sealed one left ill sell u. check pm

Would have loved to have gotten that RoF.

Although I'm mainly looking for a PS3 bundle. I have a 60 gig that's on the fritz, occasional freezing, in game stretching polygons, even with a well-ventilated system =/

So would love to retire it to PS2/Blu Ray playing.

So it's 4 am on the east coast here, is there really much action this early, or just sporadic throughout the day?

I just bought one of the used-good condition MvC3 Special Edition for $45.99. Hope I don't regret that.

Do the DLC characters come as codes? Wonder if they got used.

It's a code printed on the back of the manual (so is the Marvel comic subscription).

The code didn't go live until yesterday- so unless the guy wrote them down and activated them last night they should be good.

I wish a :360: version would go that cheap. Or if it has in the past, I have missed it. Seems to always be the PS3 version.

Welp, my search for a GoW or MGS PSP bundle is over. Not because I got one, but because for some dumb reason, Amazon is now blocked at work. Which sucks, because we sometimes have to order stuff from Amazon. Warehouse Deals is surprisingly not blocked, but it seems like the only way to grab anything hot is through the Amazon page. CAG is actually blocked too, but just the homepage, which falls under the catagory "GAMES." Luckily, I was able to google "CAG forums" and can get in by my bookmark straight to the forum page.

But who knows when I will snag a PSP bundle now...
Showing as $46, small wrinkle/bend on outer case

Could mean the slip cover which is shit anyway

And here comes the mega updates, I feel it
For MvC3? I didn't catch that info when I bought it, so hopefully that's the only problem mine comes with and it's new otherwise.

Just to clarify, since the guy asked what oem meant, it is a part made by the original manufacturer (OEM = original equipment manufacturer) and is usually just sold as the part without any fancy retail packaging. An example would an oem computer processor, which would generally come in a clear plastic holder with just basic identifying labels. OEM is not associated with something being repackaged.

Borderlands GOTY Edition (Comes with 2 Discs) $26.99
360 Borderlands GOTY is $29.99 and backordered with "Due in stock March 23" now. AFAIK they've only recently started shipping the GOTY with 2 discs instead of 1 base game disc and a sheet of promo codes.

I'd love to get a used copy of the 2-disc version for $30 or less but worry about getting burned by receiving the older one with used-up promo codes.

Edit: It's selling new for $37 now so maybe I should just bite the bullet and go with the sure thing.

I was more referring to the listing someone posted after you for $40 but it seemed to be gone before I posted.

Hoping for another killzone 3 PS3 for 167.99

Btw, see a Street Fighter 4 SE stick for 60.99, I traded one in and it's in good shape. Only used it two nights and got a TE stick. I haven't gotten my credit yet, but it showed as delivered at 215 am this morning.

Yeah, I figured as much, but if that was the info for the $40 one, then that would suggest mine would come in better condition... but really if that's all that was wrong with the $40 one, then I got jacked out of an extra 6 bucks, haha.

The acceptable one that I ordered for $188 last week was cancelled. 168 would be even better.
