F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

My Like New MGS: Twin Snakes came in today. Discs and manual are excellent. Case is kinda scratchy but I can live with that.

Should I play this or the original psx version? I've got the HD collection but would like to play the first one.

If you have the means to, play the GC version.
Good luck dude. I bought a used Flingsmash from goHastings awhile back and it didn't even come with the remote as advertised. Hopefully all the DLC and extras are included.

Has anyone received any games lately without the coverart? I purchased Zelda 3DS ($21) and Dance Central 2 ($15) and received them today. No coverart or anything... Just the original case. Extremely dissapointed because the description didn't indicate any of it.

As a big fan of the series, I actually recommend playing the original. I don't hate Twin Snakes like a lot of others seem to, but I find the PSX version to be the definitive one. Twin Snakes added a bunch of cheesy Matrix-style BS to the cutscenes, which while neat in their own respect, do not fit the character of Solid Snake AT ALL.

They also added some of the mechanics from MGS2 onward to TS, which may sound great, but since the original game wasn't designed with them, tacking them on somewhat ruined the balance. The original MGS has some of the most intense and well crafted boss fights for someone playing the first time, and the added mechanics (not to mention the music they replaced which was worse IMO) really takes away from that.

Also, without giving anything away, there is a huge chunk of MGS4 that you will appreciate soooooo much more if you play the original. That's really all I can say. Also as a side nitpick, playing that game with a GC controller just felt wrong.

Sorry for the novel, but I hope I helped nonetheless. If you do decide to play TS instead, you will still have a good time. It still does the original enough justice, but I feel the true MGS experience is to be had on the PSX masterpiece. I hope you enjoy playing one of the best series ever created. :)

Can anyone recommend a good wireless headset that I can use for both my PS3 and X360? Looking for one off of AWD. With a newborn I can only play late at night and I have to keep the volume so low I miss about half of the dialog!

Wow, man. I know how you feel. I've been playing games reading the subtitles for 5 years now. My basement is my man cave, but the sound still resonates throughout the whole house if it is even a little loud. About a month ago I got the Turtle Beach X12 (I know, cheap, wired, and only stereo sound), but I still love being able to actually have the volume loud! I run my 360 & PS3 analog audio through a switchbox so I can use the headphones for both systems.

Sorry I can't recommend a wireless headset, but I really related to your situation. Personally, I'd say don't skimp, get the best you can afford. You are really going to enjoy it.

My "like new" Tomb Raider Trilogy came today, and while there were no scratches, it was obviously a gamefly copy, as there are about 9 chips around the outside of disc. :/

Thank you, I've heard this type of sentiment from others. I think I'll get both, but I'll play the psx version first. Thanks you for the info!

I've been using the PX5s for three months now and absolutely love them. They can be found for $160 on Warehouse periodically. I'd recommend these or the Astro A40 (I think). Depends on your price range though. My buddy has the X41s and loves those as well. One thing I'd recommend is to pick up a rechargeable AA pack.. cheap batteries only give about 4-6 hours of usage while rechargeables have given me 14-18 per charge.

Me too! The px5s are nice with wireless and with custom presets. Not the best sounding headphones in the world, far from bad but for gaming its great. Consoles are not the best sound fidelity sources anyhow so your really are not losing anything. The OP is right on the rechargeables as well.

Got Solatorobo for $12.85. Though I always feel like I'm literally a few minutes or even seconds when I try to get El Shaddai or Aliens Infestation for under $15.

I received my like-new copy of Mortal Kombat for the PS3. Not only did I get an unused online pass, I got an unused Sub-Zero Classic Costume and Classic Fatality code. I already have the online pass from when I bought the game day one.

Ive noticed that when you redeem a previous unused code, any subsequent attempts to preview a similar code thereafter will display the pass that you had already redeemed.

Iirc, the preview screen will display a window similar to your download history unlike a preview of an unused code which will display the redemption window you're used to seeing ay the psn redemption screen. Sorry I know its hard to fully explain but I think other regs on here know exactly what im referring to.

I'm glad I finally get a bit of luck with a like-new copy, though.

I think he is saying that if you try to use a code that you have used already then it should come up saying that you've already used/purchased it.

Meaning if you buy a game and it comes with one and you go to redeem it. If you already have in the past it'll let you know

Yep thats what I mean. So you have to be careful if you are trying to trade another unused code that you checked yourself. I think I had confused a used code as being unused because I had already redeemed an mk online pass before. The preview screen can be deceiving is my point.

Iirc the downloaded history pass will pop up even after you enter the already used code.

Lol why did you return them? Was thinking of returning mine too but I finally got them to work with my iPhone.

I had the interference problem. I decided for that much money I'd spend the extra $s and do it right.

Like new 160 GB PS3 for 187 - was debating and it got bought out from under me. Oh well really didn't need another one anyway

I just grabbed a Skyrim like new for the 360 for $40.11 shipped but really $0 as I had amazon credit to burn. I have an unopened ps3 copy of Skyrim I will flip on ebay and avoid the freezing issues.
Off topic, i like Megaman type gameplay, any game for ps3 ud suggest?
megaman 9 and 10 on the psn

Bought an acceptable Resonance of Fate for 12.xx. The reasons for acceptable is that it was missing shrink wrap and has a "large" mark, hope it isn't too bad since it will mostly be just for show since I beat it and traded it in awhile ago.
^^This game has an awesome soundtrack, but isn't it like $13 at gamefly right now?
Not for PS3, I don't think?
