F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

I've seen it at $36 twice today. They're around :)

There's been at least 2 occasions where it was selling for $36 with 7+ in stock. Good luck!

Almost grabbed it but think I will get the PS3 version instead when I see it at a good price.

Off-topic, but is there any way to set up deal alerts for this thread? It's the one thing I miss from SD =(

Good price on Eternal Sonata...game kinda made me mad though but don't want to spoil. And supposedly the ps3 version is better/harder

Also rarer.

Ya, PS3 version is what stopped me from going for it since it comes with more content.

Decided to bite on it, who knows when I'll be able to get Eternal Sonata for good price. Doubt if I'll ever get the chance to pick the PS3 Version.

Extra Content for the PS3 Version: "Two Extra Dungeons, but I think I missed the second one. You can't miss Lament's, as far as I know. Basically you will see more major changes when you get to Baroque the first time. Also, The item locations are different. If you read a guide that tells you whats in each chest, you will notice the differences. For example, in the Fort theres a bow for Viola in one of the chests, instead its now a weapon for Frederick.

Another thing is I believe the skills are received at a slightly lower level, because you level slower.

You also get the two new characters, as well as the costumes. Polka gets 2 new costumes and Allegretto and Beat get one new Costume each.

PS3 Port is slightly harder, and you gain less experience. It also changes up the battle system alittle bit. First, I dont think in some of the outside areas theres rolling shade in the 360 version. Also, you don't start in formation anymore, your starting location in battle is at least slightly randomized." - Taken from Gamefaqs. Doesn't seem that rare to me there is ten Gamestops within 20 miles that have the PS3 version of it in my area.

That may be true, but it definitely had a lower print run than the 360 title.

For a long while there, it was almost impossible to find the PS3 version in B&M.

eternal sonata is such a fantastic game. I played it on PS3, even though there are no trophies for it, the story and the additional content are fantastic. I never played the second bonus dungeon (the first one is story driven) however even without the bonus dungeon, get this game for the 360, ps3 whatever you can. Seriously, it's that good.

I played Eternal Sonata a couple of times on the 360, then watched my roommate play the PS3 version. Pros/cons of getting the PS3 version, IMO:

Pros:
-Enemy placement on the battlefield is randomized. The 360 version suffers a little in this regard... two different battles can sometimes turn out the exact same way.
-Two new characters. And they are awesome.

Cons:
-The extra dungeon. You'd think this would be a pro, but this extra dungeon is amazingly boring. And it adds nothing to the story.
-Extra/altered cutscenes. Again, you'd think this would be a pro, but some extra handholding was added to help the player understand the plot, and there were some minor tweaks that I think greatly weakened the story.

Meh:
-Extra costumes, which are really just palette swaps that look ugly compared to the defaults.
-Other minor changes I can't remember.

Basically, the PS3 version has slightly better gameplay (minus the awful dungeon) at the cost of a weakened story. It's a tossup. Whichever way you want, though, I recommend the game.

:wii: Super Mario Galaxy (LN) $11.45

amazon review that sparked my curiosity

Eternal Sonata for the PS3 is a traditional style JRPG with a few kicks to keep it interesting.

There are no trophies for this game as of 3/2/11, but don't let that discourage you from trying this game out.

The story is fantastic with a great twist at the end (M. Night Shyamalan really should take some hints as to how it's correctly done)

The characters all keep your interest and do not bore you to wits end with stupid dialog. There are some great lessons to be learned in the message being portrayed in this game. The battle system starts out easy enough, but grows to become something I havn't seen in a while. An evolving battle system that doesn't frustrate you.
In fact, if you learn to master it, the game seems to play itself.

I know more than one person can play at once in the battles, however I didn't try that out (i had too much fun controlling everything)

The game brings back memories of final fantasy vii in the emotions received from the story.

Definitely pick this up and play it, it's worth every penny.

Why is this thread turning into an Eternal Sonata review page?

Well, I don't have much to add since almost everything has been said.

The local multiplayer is more like a bonus, you don't really use it much but it's still fun to play once in a while.

I played mostly solo, but sometimes a friend or two would team up with me. It's pretty fun, until they pick the healers and refuse to heal, etc.

Wow what a restock.

I ended up splurging on a ridiculous amount of games.

Hopefully they all arrive in the description they were given as I've had really bad luck with the warehouse this year. *crosses fingers*

Still a lot of stuff left in stock but I really have to limit my spending.:cold:

Got a Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (A) at 23.74 and 999 (A) for around $12.

Looks like there's copies of NSMB2 (3DS) at $24 for LN and $20.67 for A.

Just picked up PKMN Platinum LN for $19 *there's one more left* & M&L:piT for $11 :)! There's also a Diddy Kong racing DS LN for 11.99 that I'm so tempted to pick.

They got Far Cry 3 for PS3 for $17.81. It's in "Acceptable" condition"

Might or might not come with case, manual, art, and the uPlay passport. However at that price point I'd say it's still worth it.
