What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

As a collector, they're ugly and an eyesore on the shelf. It's like having a comic book collection but one of your comics isn't an original but a reprint.

You can either have the original version of the game or a reproduction

How about Sony stupid red blu ray case. Some one said just change the box. But it the also the cover art that say greatest hit or Platinum. So stupid. Never will I buy them.

Us cali-folks already pay sales tax on everything Amazon. There are still loopholes around it though. For example you are charged sales tax after giftcard/promo code discounts. So I buy everything with Amazon gift cards now.

Yea, that works with gamestop and a lot of other places too. The subtotal is what they use to calculate taxes I guess, so after coupons and other discounts what ever remains gets taxed. Also I believe most types of giftcards aren't taxed because the vendor you buy them for is where the tax occurs, unless they provide a service like a visa prepaid or something.

I think its because gamestop treats it as store credit. Same way you dont get charged tax on reward zone certificates but you do get charged tax on any amount paid with a best buy gift card. Same goes with amazon. Even if you pay an item in full with a gift card, amazon is still going to charge you tax on the full price.
 
It's understandable. Gift cards pay for the item. The promotion only removes part of the cost; it does not pay for part of the item.

I got excited over nothing when I read that the gift card doesn't get taxed.
 
Just got my acceptable God of War Ascension.... this thing is brand new, just the wrap was taken off. All codes worked, statue wasn't touched, disc is clean... I sometimes wonder how they judge condition o_O

My guess is someone submitted it as "acceptable" and Amazon wasn't going to bump it up to "like new." However, if it was submitted as "like new," they'd certainly bump it down a grade if it warranted it.

This is just conjecture, mind you.

By the way if any of you were on the fence about Tomb Raider, buy it. I finished it in about 12 hours with a 70% overall completion rate.

It's absolutely awesome.

They look at the back on the tag and if it doesn't give a condition they'll use it to fulfill any order.

Fortunately Amazon is pretty reasonable with this, and they will bump things up.

I once submitted an old DVD in quite good shape, but since it was so old I couldn't select a condition better than "good" (the others were grayed out).

Once Amazon received it, they sent me an email that they had bumped it up to Very Good or Like New and increased the credit.

what's the reasoning for that? This doesn't occur for items shipped to NY - which Amazon started taxing due to the state claiming some bullshit about NY affiliates like CAG despite there being no physical offices or warehouses.
 
How do they judge the condition? I picked up Tomb Raider and Crysis 2 this week, the former was listed as "very good", the latter was listed as "good" - both came in mint condition...No complaints, just curious.

On the first post of this thread are a bunch of links to browse by console. I click those every now and again and flip through a few pages to see if there is anything new. If I'm looking for specific titles I'll check the used listings for them, or add them to my wishlist and just check my wishlist (since it shows the lowest used price without clicking on the item).

For example, there are a lot of new items for 3DS, here is the link

Kid Icarus, Resident Evil Revelations, Star Fox, Monster Hunter, Brain Age, Mario Kart/Bros/3D Land, etc.
