F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Man I love Amazon. Here I was thinking I wasn't going to spend anymore money / credit on games and along comes this. Bought one and locked the trade in so a free rental basically. Can't wait!

johnston306 and esalw822 thanks for the info on the trade in.

Got my "Good" Metal Gear Rising LE in today: AMZ shipped the CE in its own box (not inside a brown shipping box) but suprisingly, everything still came in great condition. I was able to get the shipping stickers off the LE box so no issues there outside of some slight wear on one of the top corners. The game inside was still factory sealed, the steelbook was perfect, and the plasma lamp still had the plastic on it and it looks/works like new (cool blue light and plasma gimmick). Definitely a solid buy at the $50 price tag. Gonna drag myself away from The Last of Us long enough to play MGR then send in the locked in trade early next week. Thanks again DS...

I ordered a Good Metal Gear too, it already shipped so should be here on monday. Hopefully it's in similar condition.

My 58.xx Acceptable Defiance Collector's Edition came today and was brand new. A minor ink smudge/black substance on the plastic slip cover is the only damage.

For some reason Acceptable and Good come in better condition for me on the collector's editions.

If I didn't already buy the CE... would totally have bought the New (not WHD) Defiance CE on ps3 for 69.99 and locked in a trade immediately at 71... especially if I wanted the DLC from the CE.

What is the cheapest you guys have seen DMC and Metal Gear Rising for? I am looking to get it at around $20.
I think the standard games have been sitting around a little under $30 for a while now on AWD. Haven't seen either of them hit the $20 mark yet. What we need is for a B&M retailer to have the games on sale for sub $30 price new for an extended period so that Amazon matches the new price, then adjusts the AWD used price down as well.

I didn't play Bio1 and I made sense of BI. Maybe I missed some of the intricacies, but I thought it was pretty straightforward.

With that said, I didn't finish it, so maybe there's something else to it.

Didn't finish which one? Bioshock 1 or Infinite?
They both have good endings, but I HIGHLY recommend the making sure you play to the end of Infinite.

...and thats from someone who doesn't finish as many games as he probably should.

Bioshock Infinite was weird for me. I felt that the weapons, tonics, atmosphere, and gameplay in general were not as good as Bioshock 1 or 2 - in fact, it felt to me like Bioshock 1 played so much better that its systems were the improvement of Infinite's systems and not vice versa. If it weren't for the story, I'd recommend playing Infinite first... guess I'd ultimately say I found Infinite to be good, not great.

Got my "acceptable" one for $46.26 yesterday and it came in pristine condition. Only flaw I could find was a rip on the outer cardboard box where it was taped to keep it sealed. Everything else was still in shrink wrap including the lamp. The lamp worked. I love that thing. I was going to trade it in if it was flawed and since it is very much new, I am definitely keeping this baby. It was a steal at that price.

Also got my "Very good" Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for $23.98 and it came complete with unused club nintendo code. Very happy with AWD! :bouncy:

Defiance CE $52 ps3
Gone. Somebody most likely flipping it back to them like I'm doing just to see if I can get the DLC and buy the standard cheaper down the road.

Hopefully a bunch of Last of Uses will pop up soon. Seems like lots of people are trading it in for the extra $10 preorder bonus deal according to that thread. Dibs on one of them!

Thoughts everyone. I'm thinking about getting a 360 on AWD because there's a good amount of 360 titles I still want and there's only one title I really want to have on the XB1 (Titanfall) and it's coming out on PC and the 360. Do you feel that the 360 is till worth buying? Should I just stay the course and wait and get the XB1.

Sidenote: I am getting the PS4 and I already have a PS3 and Wii U.

If you want Xbox 360 exclusives, get a cheap Xbox 360. Get Titanfall on PC for sure

Absolutely, and this goes for anyone, if you haven't had a 360 or PS3 and are interested in exclusives the consoles are well worth picking up especially if you can find them cheap.

Well got my first two ever orders, two Vita games and two Gamecube games for flipping, from AWD today and I have mixed feelings.  All the games were in great shape, like new, and the Vita games were unsealed while the GC games were resealed.  The bad part is that Amazon thinks they're Gamestop and had two stickers unevenly stuck on top of each other on the cases so that you can't get them off without one ripping which removes any chance of getting them off cleanly.  This is a cardinal sin to me and reason enough not to purchase used from them unless there's an exceptional deal.  Spent a good hour trying to get enough of the residue off the GC games to package them to send off.

I'm thinking about switching to PlayStation, but I was going to wait for the exclusives that I havent played to show up on psn. Do you (and other people) think it might be better to get a cheap ps3 and get the exlusives now?

quite often they will put the "like new" or whatever stickers on the new shrink wrap so it's not stuck to the case.  I got my Metro Last Light "like new" today and it was a never before opened game, gotta be happy with that, even better that the trade in price was $3 less than what I paid.  Love getting near 2 week rentals like this without having to deal with the scum at gamestop and the like.

EDIT: i don't understand how anyone can care enough about games to be at CAG but not already have the two flagship consoles.  if you haven't had either they are totally worth buying as either's exclusives list is great.  unless X1 or PS4 release with garbage and fire hazards i'm toally buying both.

Depends on what you want to play now I suppose. I traded my 360 for a PS3 two or three months ago and have been entirely happy and playing through the PS+ stuff and things I'm finding on clearance and good sales while I wait for the newer games to come down. At the same time I also had barely turned the 360 on in at least a year, probably more. I'm also a compulsive deal hunter that ended up with over 30 physical games after two or three weeks and realized I had gone a little overboard.

I was not so lucky and even on the GC games that were wrapped they had stuck it under the plastic wrap.

I was going to grab it, but it didn't mention the case or manual like they normally do. So I passed on it. I'd rather have a complete edition anyway like with Mortal Kombat.

If you want all of us to own 2 consoles w/ a good amount of similar titles, then you don't know what CAG stands for...

Anyways the best format this gen was a Wii + a PS3/360 if you wanted to play the most exclusives. I have a Wii and a PS3 myself.

mkay. I guess I'm back to stalking AWD.
wth me toooo!!!

Well considering there are a decent amount of exclusives over the years having both is worth it as it can be done fairly cheap.  I would also say that being a part of any site where the user base considers themselves "gamers" and is based around "gamers" would want to expereince all worlds they liked, simply trying to get those experiences (games) on the cheap.  I look at it like a buffet, I want to try everything but don't want to pay for each type of food as a full meal, if you get that.  maybe I'm in the minority as money isn't really a problem for me. Rather than snag a good deal because that's what I can afford I just take the approach of mass consumption at a quick pace. I buy games that I might only play for an hour and then realize it's not for me, hence the reason I look for deals, so I get a good enough price that I can get out from under the game.  Can't stand paying $60 for a game and finding out it's not for me or worse yet broken crap. We all have our reasons, right?

also, AWD stock yoself already.....

Ok, thank you :)

My LN Persona 4 Golden arrived today.

Don't know why I waited this long to pull the trigger on it. Don't let me blow off games of this quality, people!

Take everything out of the case (disc, inserts, etc) and then bend it open and use some Goo Gone. Problem solved in less than 2 minutes.
Don't even need to leave to the store to grab Goo Gone.
A cottonball with a bit of WD-40, baby oil or olive oil works wonders on the sticker residue.
