For those who think you missed it, Gamestop has been enforcing a very strict 1-per-customer limit.  If you've already ordered one previously, it will remove it from your cart at the end of checkout when you try to buy another.  It's actually still available for those who haven't ordered one yet (I think).

Edit: Not too sure about this now, but it may be true.

Never ordered one and it was removed from my cart, so it's not that.

 
Note: if you've already ordered a shulk, in store or otherwise, it will not allow you to buy one now. It's strictly one per customer. It's still in stock for those who have never ordered.

 
I'm actually very excited today.  Stopped by Michael's last night and picked up two giant 23" x 35" cork boards and a package of push pins for only $20.  Now I just have to figure out which wall in my tiny house I want to use to display my Amiibo.

If anyone has a Meijer nearby, I just left one in NKY with COMPLETE set of wave 3b! They had 1 Ike, 1DeDeDe, 2 Mega Man, and 4 Sonic. I purchased one of each. Good luck!
 
I've never ordered one and it kept getting taken out of my cart. Perhaps my account is flagged or something (though I don't know why, I hardly buy stuff there)

You sure people saying they could see are able to go to checkout? Or just guessing?

 
ha - I refreshed the search page for my area and saw that Shulk was now listed as in-stock at the store I had preordered from - literally 10 seconds later I got the call from them.

When my bro got my shulk today from GS the employee said there were four left and that the next four people who call will be very happy, Im working but called and asked thinking maybe I could score a CAG zone and they were preorder only, what a weird comment lol
 
It's funny to see the in-stock stores keep getting larger every time I refresh the page.

Unfortunately all the stores popping up so far are out of my way.

I just called a few stores that were all showing in-stock.  Nobody has anything available for sale besides pre-orders.  The workers are mostly courteous when you treat them nicely but boy you can tell they are sick of getting inquiries. 

 
This shit is selling way the hell too fast. I've preordered every amiibo through 3 waves + mario set, but damn if it keeps like this I'll be lucky to get orders for wave 4. I'm gonna have to call off work or something if I can't get preorders, because of course they all release on Fridays.

I'm not gonna bother calling any stores. I won't be getting out of work for another 6 hours and any stock that's out there will be long gone by the time I arrive.

Today isn't the day to call. If they are being released today, Friday is the day to call as that's when the 48 hour holding period for preorders is over. GS has exactly enough to cover preorders, so you're best bet is to wait for a preorder that was never claimed.

....but man is it tempting to call stores are more and more pop up closer to me. Heh.
 
My friend that works at GS just texted me. He said today the store has had at least 25 calls from people asking for Shulk and all they have are for preorders. I honestly wonder if GS is holding some back to sell as "pre-owned" and jack up the price.

Don't just assume that it's Friday. It's on a case-by-case basis with every store. Some of them are holding for a week, until sat., mon., or indefinitely. If you are looking for Shulk you need to talk to someone at a store that has already determined the date they will make them available and then be there before they open.

 
Got a call from my GS. Shulk, Toon Link and Sheik are in. I got a text yesterday that said Sheik instead of Shulk, so if you got the same, you're good on Shulk.
 
The store near me says Shulk is in stock but when I called a while ago they said they won't show up until Friday, I'm confused D:
