When Nintendo did their stream a while back where the MP10 Amiibos were announced, there was a mention that both MP10 and Toad would receive bundles. It probably didn't get much attention here because the Toad game is already several months old and the figure is not exclusive (or even a timed exclusive) to the bundle.

My Best Buy still has pegs for Marth and Wii Fit Trainer. Probably just lazy employees who stock the shelves.
 
I get bundles if you plan to get both anyway or if there is a savings, which I'd welcome, other than that it's just a box.

Toad has gone up so many times, hopefully you've grabbed it already.
 
Got my first Amiibo today! Shiek, but I have to say that I'm pretty underwhelmed by it. Hopefully, Toon Link that's supposed to come in looks better or I'm out before I'm in too deep. 

 
These are web in store pre-orders with estimate release date of May 1st (from their second shipment AKA the other half of their Shulk inventory they held back in their warehouse).

Nah, I just don't care for it in general. I love Ocarina of Time, but the Shiek Amiibo just seems kind of bland to me. I'm not the biggest Nintendo fan either, not since the N64. The Amiibo stories popping up and following the threads eventually broke me. I really do hope Toon Link looks amazing though. I want in on the Amiibo craze, but not going to get the niche characters or keep Amiibos that look "meh" to me. So, Shiek is most likely getting the boot.

Went to Gamestop to ask if they were going to sell any pre orders that were not picked up tomorrow and got the web in store order instead. Didn't realize the delivery would be in May, but at least I am going to get one.
 
I have bought over 30 amiibos from bestbuy.com and this is the first time they have sent me one in a padded envelope. It is destroyed.

Nintendo, and everyone else, sets aside x amount of promotional items for reviewers, journalists, bloggers etc. Just because that guy got a MM Console and Game and didn't want it, doesn't mean it would have went to a true fan. It would have went to another blogger. I reviewed and requested stuff before, so I know how it works.

Wanna know something scary? You know those silly Limited items that have stickers that say 1 out of 500? They make more then 500!!! Yes, its true! Incase one breaks in shipment they just re-assign the number. Even early single digit ones go to employees, friends etc. Source - Worked at a toy company and did this on a daily basis when things broke. Also had many single digit exclusives since I got to cherry pick what I wanted (now long sold).

So many people feel entitled to everything.

Everything you said is obvious to anyone with half a brain, and doesn't address or refute the points I raised. I basically prefaced my post with "this is me whining so deal with it or move on" but I see some people can't help themselves. You also came off as condescending and superior despite contributing nothing of value in your reply. The only thing anyone learned from reading your post is that you think highly of yourself and think that the basic concepts of manufacturing are novel.

Has anyone actually gone to gamestop and tried to preorder the 2nd batch of Shulk's? I'll be heading there shortly (still stuck at work), if nobody updates by then I will. Fingers crossed!

 
TRU really doesnt a crap about my order. I did an instore preorder and they sold it instead of holding it.  I've called the store and "oh the managers not here leave ur number and he'll call you". I've called the 1800 and got some old lady who's offered me a lucario battle set and just "well if it's not on the website I can't do anything" 

i'm really bummed out

Same thing happened to me. Though I was also stopping by Gamestop to check that I still had MH4U available for pickup for the midnight release.

I can confirm. I work at the mall and my GameStop buddy texted me and said she has them for order and they won't ship till may. I ran over and ordered two. One for me and my brother.
 
I can't wait to get out of work and drive like speed racer to my gamestop. Hopefully these stay up for at least a day, who knows though.

 
People were talking before about the "Marth" reprint -- it seems like either way the "original print" Marth is going to be different because the package details specify "2014" instead of the newer ones that show "2015" as the mfg date -- crazy "collectors" will care about the difference. (I specify "crazy" only because its beyond my realm of caring, but I suppose its all relative).  While minor, its still a difference assuming they don't make a new pose/series/etc.

So, the in-store preorders for the May Shulk should last for a few hours at least, right? Do you guys think I need to leave work early just to rush over there? Do you think I could just go to the midnight release tonight and put the order in then? Also, (and I know that this isn't the right thread, but while I'm on the subject anyway) does anybody know if they'll actually have the MM LE in-store tonight or was that just for preorder too?

 
Maybe I am missing the point but what's so special about that Captain Toad bundle? It's just a toad amiibo packed with the game. You can get both of them separate here.

I think everyone is distracted by the New 3DS XL right now, so I THINK they'll at least last for a few hours, plus it's only instore, so you don't have to deal with online gobbling up their supply. I definitely wouldn't wait for the midnight release though tonight, I'd go after work. They'll be busy enough, plus then everyone will find out.

And I haven't heard of any retail stores that'll have the MM LE other than GS and MAYBE BB, I kind of doubt they'll have extras, but you never know, there could be 1 or 2. If you do go after work you could ask, I'm sure they'd know by now if they'll have extras.
 
Well, I might go to Best Buy tomorrow morning to see if I can get my hands on a Zelda Collector's Edition guide...may as well check out the Amiibo rack as well.

Still undecided if I want to trek over to Toys R Us or not.

That's what I was thinking. Yeah, it was silly of me to think that the best plan would be to wait for the entire day to pass and then go to GS at the exact time that 50 other gamers do. I seem to have a streak of dangerous optimism that I must contend with.

Right on. You're probably right. I hadn't thought about BB, though. Gonna call them. Maybe the universe will put it together for me (dangerous optimism). Thanks! I've gotta start setting some kind of phone alarm for these things. I feel like I'm always chasing after the fun-bus. I wanna ride the bus! I hear it's not not-fun!

 
My wife is the best! She sent me a text stating she had only one Amiibo purchase for my Valentine's Day gift but she saw the Amiibo Reddit explode about in store orders for Shulk. She ran out, 7 months pregnant, with my 3 year old daughter to get a Shulk ordered! Then to top it all off, she tells me that my Villager will be here tomorrow. Normally I'd be really upset because she probably spent a fortune for Villager but I'm too stoked to care. Best wife ever!
