Can someone at least answer my question. Is tru restocking the amiibos from last week minute meta knight or not. If not ill try bb.

Yet, I am the bad guy here because GS changes a policy after the fact and I am upset on principle alone.

Don't take my money on false pretenses and wait to the last minute to inform me what I have been told repeatedly was a lie. You will lose my business that way. That is about as bad customer service as Comcast.

Stores cancel preorders all the time, not just GameStop. Some do it more than others. I don't think there is a big store out there that hasn't cancelled my orders. I didn't say you were a bad guy, I'm saying that GameStop isn't bad (in this situation). they could have straight up cancelled your order, but at least you're getting something.

Ike was available for like 5 minutes so most people had no chance to order Ike.

We have all learned from amiibos by now, never pass up a chance to order because you have a preorder somewhere else.

It's not about that. It's about the hunt. Saying you were there, first in line on release date. Stupid? To some, but I do it for comic book movies, I get it.

 
lol rainbow BB.  ain't nothing gonna be left tmw, that one barely had any marios when i was there.  That's why you pre-order.  Camping for 11 hours.  Ridiculous.  

 
Beats me, I have no idea what it's going to be like for me living in California's central valley. I hear horror stories from Black Friday but I have no clue how a launch like this will go.

For people who paid in full for multiples at GS, are they going to refund your money or are they just going to give you store credit for the extra ones you can't purchased? Suck if it's the latter.

BTW, when you preorder online for instore pickup, it's not considered paying in full right? My card was never charged.

Once I get my hands on a Ike, I was thinking about cancelling it because I'm not waiting till the Spring. Would I have to go in store to cancel? The site says "CLOSED".

 
Its 3 outside right now and it feels like -17.

I kinda want to go there at 8 am just to see how many people are crazy enough to be standing in line

Sonic for Rosalina? Where? lol. Pretty good for the person who got Rosalina. Not bad for the person who got Sonic either if they had multiple Rosalinas.

Eh, depends on how cold it is where you are. Gonna be pretty miserable and if you aren't one of the very first people in line you might as well just go home. Plus, unless you already spoke to an employee there whose word you trust and got a number from them it's just as likely that it'll be a store that only gets 1-2. Or none. I've had that happen to me twice. Very much like getting punched in the stomach. But, then again, if your store is a big, busy one, then you might be able to guess that they got more. Dunno. It's maddeningly uncertain. Good luck to you if you do go out. Think I'm sitting this one out.

If you wanted Rosalina more than Sonic, then it was a good trade. That's how I see it anyways.

I bet there will be no one in line. They'll all be sitting in the car and the second some one even acts like they are stepping out, BOOM, everyone will run to the door. Had this happen last week at 7 degrees. Today it will be 1.

They won't let you go back to the car. With me, I just stepped out to grab something in my trunk, and 6 people just popped out of their cars. We just looked at each other, and everyone ran to the door.

Told them all, "let's all just go back and sit down in our cars, we got 55 mins left"

And they were all like "NOPE".

Oh no, thats my point. I aint going to stand out side in what is basically -17 weather for 2 hours lol. I just want to make everyone else worry and run out there

 
So I got voicemails today from Gamestop about Dedelde and Ike saying they're available to purchase the 25th?  I thought they were going to be tomorrow and that's just a really weird date in general.  Did anyone else get that and call their store to confirm?

But is it actually Wednesday or is GS trying to trick us all into not picking them up tomorrow so they can laugh at us when we come in Wednesday to pick them up? I'm very confused because GS never seems to call this far out.

 
I wont say how I know but I know that if you go camping out for a MK at many BB and are top 5 in line in la area you will most likely get one. Its King D3 and Ike that are the fucking scarce ones. In the system every store is showing only 1 or 2 and theyre pretty much gone through preorders. Mega Man is very limited too but also very few people lined up should score some too. Good luck tomorrow. 

 
By the way I work at a Best Buy. I had to make tickets today for the meta knight amiibo. There was a company memo and company provided tickets to print off and make. So if the stores actually read the memos, they should be doing tickets for them that guarantee the meta knight for you for the first hour.

For reference, my store had a handful of oms online preorders and I made 8 tickets today for the rest.

I really wish they had done this last week at target when I was first in line for one of the mm 3ds xl... Sat in the cold for 3 hours and then had to race to electronics when it opened for that shit... (rosalina was much easier and no running the 2 weeks before that...

Hope this info helps, but there Will be tickets as long as the management at your store actually read the company memos... =P

Whoa, a sigh of relief if all BBs go through with it or at least mine. What about the Ikes and Dededes? I suppose those will just be free for all?

I also lost out on a MM 3DS but not because of running or anything. Actually the manager personally escorted us to the cashier where they had it in a cart.

We thought there were 5 and I was 4. Well, there were just 3. But I got there second like 3 hours earlier, while another dude was already there freezing. I sat in my car, and to avoid freezing to death, I decided to wait for at least one more person to go up. Well, someone else had that idea as well and was faster than me.

From what I saw almost no stores in my whole district got any Ike, Dedede, or mega man besides like 1-3 for the online preorders. So if there are any (which I highly doubt) then they would be first come first serve.

Holy crap. Really? That's... insane. From all reports, there probably won't even be enough for all 7 of them to get one of each. Or any of any. Wow. They aren't even that expensive on ebay. Certainly not 9 hours of urban winter camping expensive. People didn't even really do that for the 3DS MM and it was a way bigger deal. Man, these amiibos are sort of evil. They're like the one ring. Everybody is slowly turning from Smeagol into Gollum.

I got off work at 3 and went to walmart. the girl scanned the tags they had up, but it said they are still waiting on the shipment. 

 
So, I'm guessing that nobody has heard anything about WFT? Today was the second time I've seen a new pog for it in a week. A couple days ago at Walmart, today at Best Buy. Everyone is so skeptical, but what could that mean other than a resupply?

I was wondering if she's getting a restock too because she keeps popping up on Amazon.de for normal price sold by Amazon. That doesn't necessarily mean anything for America... But you never know.
 
Heh. Now I can't get Fry's site to load. Kinda funny. Mentioning that a site has amiibos in stock on here basically triggers a DDOS attack. 

 
been watching some foreign sites for wave 4, saw them this morning only to see they already sold out, how can a regular fan even expect to get any if resellers buy them out minutes after they go up?.....god i wish death to nintendo for how they are handling this crap, just reprint them already
