Depends on the type of person you're selling to. Hardcore collectors are all about rare/limited editon/anniversary stuff, and most of the time functionality or detail is secondary. But most people trading will probably value FE because they're coming after merchandise from that niche franchise, appreciate the detail, or (a small percentage) want them for their functionality in Codename Steam and SSB.

You could quite easily encounter either while trading. That said, I wouldn't trade Gold Mario until you're planning on checking out of the amiibo hunting game.

not really, just your normal friendly hardcore nerds that frequent gamestop

i happened to drop in to return a couple games from the online zelda 3ds bundle right smack in the middle of the amiibo preorder madness, was pretty funny

even the gamestop employees were sad that they couldnt get one, haha

One at my gamespot but he had to leave early so I got his spot! haha, i was able to preorder both bundle from gamespot and all the amiibos from best buy. I'll be down for trading if anyone needs any!

First neckwear I saw was 4th in line. I was first (not a "neckbeard" even if I don't feel like shaving sometimes and have one starting to grow) and 2nd in line was a petite college girl. Exact opposite of a neckbeard.

Any East coasters try web-in-store this morning at Gamestop?  Will be headed to mine when they open in half an hour unless I hear it's a waste of time.

 
So how quickly did Greninja sell out? Any guesses on how rare or expensive it will be on the after market? I set my alarm for 3:55 AM but it was already sold out when i checked.

The responses are awesome. It's like they were waiting out in the cold for a Tickle Me Elmo for their kid at Christmas and came out empty handed.

Their salt helps mellow me out for missing Jiggly, Ness & Greninja.

It was up for a minimum of 15 minutes. Got my order in at 3:28 EST. Wario sold out faster than Greninja, surprisingly.

 
Finally caught up with this thread and after reading certain comments I don't see why anybody should seriously consider taking the day off work to pick up Wave 4. If you calculate the amount of money you give up to show up to TRU on release day, you're probably doing yourself a disservice. To each his own, but when you factor in lost wages, work disruption, standing out in line in the cold, no guarantee to even get one, etc. I would argue you're better off just buying it around release day on eBay. The past store exclusives have gone for $40 on the secondary market on day one. You also have to consider the convenience factor of having it shipped to you albeit at a markup.

I get the whole principle of not buying it online from a scalper but I just think some folks are sacrificing too much just to make a point.
 
Has anyone had any luck getting Greninja aside from when he first went up this morning? I feel like TRU is trolling the shit out of us with this add to cart but can't check out shit.
 
The amount of fervor for figures people wouldn't even want but for the perceived rarity shows you exactly why retailers and Nintendo are approaching it this way. It's an endless cycle.

I guaran-damn-tee you that if Toad was in full supply along the lines of Mario or Peach that not nearly as many people would be even thinking twice about picking it up.
